In pikmin theres caves that you leap into, yet in the gameplay you cant jump 5 centimeters
punching the giant boulder as chris is one of my core childhood memories. the fact you didnt even show that iconic scene in this video is actually a crime.
Unless you properly time the QTEs on the PC version, the game speeds straight through the boulder punching. My guess is that these two probably didn't get to experience the gloriousness of the punches because of that.
I cant wait to how Capcom will adapt Chris boulder punching in the re 5 remake. That moment was so iconic that some dude in Europe quiver in fear of uttering the legend of Chris Redfield.

I still remember the first time I played this game. A friend of mine was begging me to do co-op with him in RE5. Dude, we played this game all day. It took all night, but we finished it. We were laughing so hard when Chris Redfield was punching that boulder. Man it was a blast. I even saved up to get infinite ammo on the desert eagle, so that way I can just stun Wesker and punch him nonstop lol 😂. Also, the video thumbnail art is awesome 😎👍🏼
I loved stun locking Wesker past 7 minutes because there’s just nothing he can do about it.
I had a friend named Alex in high school and we would play RE5 afterschool all night. We 100%'d it together and unlocked the infinite rocket launcher and even kept playing after that trying to speed run lmao. Then we graduated.
I had a cousin who got me into playing it when it was new. I was probably 7 around the time but she and I loved this shit. Sadly, because how my grandma was when it came to me playing video games, and since we only saw each other when she babysat us as our parents went to work, enforced me to stay in one room all the time while she played with her, instead. I could only sneak over to the play room and watch sometimes I get locked up when I get caught watching. And even throughout the years we've kept the game, the only person I could play with is dad but he gives up easily so we never finish a chapter on one day. It took us up until earlier this year to complete it since dad kept giving up or makes excuses not to play. But...now an adult, I still play it as of today even though I've nobody to co-op with lol and that cousin? She still plays it occasionally but she hardly is on the PlayStation now she's expecting a child. It's been four months now 😊

5 and 6 are unironically some of my most fun RE games. They utterly failed in the horror aspects but managed to make fun over-the-top action games. With co-op.
I can understand RE5 being fun in co-op because it saves you from Sheva's horrible AI, but RE6 is just awful no matter how you play it.

This was the first ever resident evil game I played that introduced me to the series. I remember the controversy it caused being set in Africa which to this day indefinitely made it impossible for a remake but its up there as one of the greatest games I played imo.
Same here. This game brought me into the RE world and I've played all the games besides the first 2. My cousin interduced me to the 5th game when I was just barely 10 years old which is when the game was brand new that year we would play together when grandma babysat us when our parents were at work (well i would have to sneak on because my grandma favoured her over me so she would prevent me from playing) so when I grew into a teenager and was a stay-at-home, dad decided to get the game to make up for that loss but he would wuss out easily lol. Now this year as an adult, I still play it even if I've noone to co-op with. And that cousin? She plays a variety of games currently but she can't be active much since she's expecting 🤰🏼

I played through this game on co-op with my Mamaw Dian, she’s a boss at these games! Watched her play through The Last of Us too, as well as all of the Uncharted games. Watching you play through it is giving me good flashbacks, and now I want to go do that again.
Me and my siblings have played this game so many times and whenever we got tired of playing it we would return it to GameStop, just to buy it again a month later.
Jill boss theme and Wesker boss theme will always live in my head rent free.

Loved the video! Just some infos you might want to know:
The huge Uroboros in the lab was tanky because the flamethrower is bugged at 60 fps. Normally it should trigger the cutscene with the 3 lil cores that you got with the incendiary grenades, these ones are what you must shoot. Instead the flamethrower does nothing and the boss is invincible without proper preparation
And yes you missed something on the Jill fight! You actually could shoot her device, you just had to do it when she's standing, doing this a few times reduce a lot the mashing part
Re5 had the best co-op in 2009. This game came months before I graduated high school and I remember watching ads and reading forums because of the excitement surrounding it's release. My brother and I played through this idk how many times, laughing, trolling causing each other's deaths 😂😂
I don't care what you say about Re5 but couch co-op is better than online. And it's awesome to see how well it stacks up to current gen titles

Just bought this for $5 on playstation plus for my ladys daughter and I to co op while she and her sister visit this month. Its kinda funny how excited I am to be able to coop this with her. I wish they made more split screen co op games like they used to. Guess there aint as much money in it as online games.
RE5 can be very love it or hate it because if you're playing a full co-op campaign with a friend it's one of the best co-op games ever made, but if you're playing solo then it's 12+ hours of babysitting a suicidal ai that will eat all your items like mcnuggets, can't aim anywhere more vague than a monster's general direction, and often forgets how to do setpieces. This was a problem solved in later co-op REs by making ai partners basically set dressing, but the co-op still doesn't quite hit like a good RE5 online campaign.
This game is literally the quote "Everything is better with friends."
Also the fact that chris in this game has the same VA as sonic is hilarious.

I have to agree. I beat the main game and every single piece of DLC. I usually don't do that but I enjoyed it immensely like no other Resident Evil game go this day.
I think this game was made to get a new fan base and that’s kind. It definitely was not made for OG fans, but new fans loved it.

Something to consider about the QTEs: if you ran this game at 60fps, the QTEs are twice as hard as they require far more inputs per second and you get half the time to input the reaction dodge ones because the game originally ran at 30 and was programmed for that framerate.

Me and my dad were obsessed with this game when it came out. I was 9 or 10 at the time and we'd always bonded over the series so the multiplayer aspect was perfect for us. That said, it's so funny coming back to the later entries as a grown adult and cringing at how stereotypically they depict regions outside of the US, between the weird ass depictions of Not-Spain in 4, Kijuju here, and Edonia in 6.
tried playing this recently and quit when the zombies got guns and i got to the god awful bossfight where you have to keep recharging the flamethrower
fun fact the level you reach around 6:30 is possibly the best grinding spot for cash for upgrades. it's a really short level and full of treasure.
I got this game on PC, PS3, 4/5 and Switch...obviously my favorite action shooter 😊 it ain't scary, but a dayum good coop shooter

update: it has been 124 videos/540 days since I first started asking kevduit to play Bionicle heroes, and 15 videos/ 66 days since he said he said he would play it soon
Funny thing about the Wesker / Jill fight since it’s one of my favorite parts.
Wesker can be beaten, but he has a shitload of health. You have to sneak attack him by hiding behind walls and attacking him from behind, all while Jill is in play. I’ve found one of the funnest ways to beat him is to use the melee combos Chris and Sheba can do. Once he’s stunned, Chris or Sheva Melee, then the partner immediately runs up for a Melee follow up, then the first player finishes it with the 3rd melee hit. If you do beat him, he scoffs and drops an African Diamond (I think) which is the most expensive treasure item in the game.
Also with Jill, the Mind Control Device DOES have a health bar, and it CAN be shot with a Sniper Rifle to reduce it. I think other weapons are possible, but clearly in the video it’s shown you can also just kill her by accident.

2009 was an amazing year because I happened to be borthed by my dad
I remember beating the final boss Wesker in the volcano and I had no ammo left for any of my guns so i had to beat him with a knife and it was on hard difficulty and I was by myself.
It was the first RE game I've ever played and it was fun as hell
It's so good and goofy at the same time, i love it
