I can't believe he ranked RE3 Remake higher than War Thunder.
This needs to be pinned
😂😂
Yoooooo
Seriously, war thunder is my favorite resident evil game it’s so underrated. I wish people acknowledged it more
I can't believe he ranked RE4 higher than War Thunder
RE7 Lucas doesn't just disappear. He's made into the main villain of the free DLC story of Not A Hero
How is anyone supposed to know that without buying the DLC?
@weclock well you don't need to buy it seen as it's free for everyone and also 99% certain Not-Chris says something about going after Lucas at the very end of the game
It was heavily advertised as a free update@@weclock
@weclock I mean of you're doing a video on a subject you should fully research em 😂
@@weclock Bruh, Not A Hero was a free update for RE7. Are you stupid?
Resident evil 1 remake is the purest survival horror experience Capcom has given us.
It was RE 7.Re 1 Remake was a jogging simulator.
@@jackjax7921To each their own!
@@jackjax7921 I like Re7 a lot, but it's not even remotely close (in terms of survival horror) to Re1 remake
I like the remake but nothing touches the original. They truly nailed it the first time.
@@jackjax7921 RE7 is a miserable experience about halfway through and that's coming from someone who likes the game. Also very bad replayability.
REmake is also one of the most genuinelly well made games ever, its absurd that a game that came out in 2002 (iirc) looks that good, a testament to the idea that great art style beats graphical fidelity.
Agreed. With the resources on tap now, character models and 3D assets would look unbelievably good in the style of the older fixed camera games. Wish the style would be revived with a contemporary game's budget.
The RE Remake did come out in 2002 for the GameCube, but it was remastered with HD graphics in 2015 for modern consoles. The gameplay he is showing is from the RE Remake HD. GameCube version was 2002 still looks good though
@@rpeck2832 The HD port of RE1Remake is a lazy upscale of assets of the Gamecube original with almost nothing changed, so it looks exactly the same as when the Gamecube version came out (just in higher resolution now). It looked like magic back then. RE0 HD port had some slight tweaking to it but mostly exactly the same again as when the original came out.
@Name-kk8tq damn, well that makes the original RE Remake even more impressive
@@rpeck2832 Yea, and because of the almost timeless nature of the presentation of the RE1Remake, it might be difficult for a developer to justify a modern full 3D bells and whistles update if it could be compared less favourably. Check out the Wii stuff like Umbrella Chronicles to see why they never bothered for a long time. Eh, maybe they will do one for the 30th anniversary in a couple of years time.
No better way to spend Easter by punching boulders and making Jill sandwiches.
RE0 with the items all over the floor like the aftermath of a botched 7-eleven robbery
The game with a train that has both a basement and an attic.
@@lloydhendric1281The train was the only area in RE0 I really liked.
Lol
It was awesome lol give you lots of options
My excuse not to play RE0 is due to the fact that the item box is non existent. I won't play code veronica either. Fixed camera angles and tank controls are two of the things that scare me. I also give the RE1 remake a 6/10. The RE3 remake was above all of them. And yes, I am serious about this. Don't feel threatened just because I have an opinion.
They are gonna cook you for putting RE5 that high but you're right. One of the best co-op games ever made.
My opinion of it and 6 has only escalated over the years. The Revelations games are great too.
Re5 is just an ok game even on coop. Nothing special.
you haven't seen much, have you?
Resident Evil 5 was excellent and I'll die on that hill 😅
And then he sh*ts on RE6 for literally doing all the same things but better
RE3 Remake being lower than six and seven being lower than five is kinda criminal
6 offers over the top coop action. 7 literally revived the series and is the closest to a fps adaption from re 1. re3 remake just took an already existing game, removed content and barely added anything new that wasnt established in the re 2 remake.
@@MetalGear0987 RE3 was fun tho, 7 was not. It was a first person horror game but felt nothing like RE
@@icessoup All games on the list are for me fun. All mainline are and some spin offs like revelations. 7 Is literally a fps version of re 1. It has exactly the same formula as re 1 except in a smaller scope. Its not a perfect game due to smaller size, weird story. lategame level sucks. But the main reason people hate it its because its hip to do. Counter culture, if something is popular some people just hate it out of spite.

6, yes. 5, no.
What makes the moth corridor in Resident Evil Code Veronica so annoying is that there are infinitely respawning blue herbs in that corridor. So what happens is, the moths lay their eggs, you go through the load zone, they hatch and poison you, you go back through the load zone and heal yourself whereby the moths have probably respawned. It is pointless busywork.
Half of RE 4 remake was pointless busywork and only I complained about it.
@@megamax898
Maybe because you are indeed very alone in that opinion. Re4 remake has a very good flow and the most annoying part, the hanging cage section from the original has been cut.
CV in general was a little annoying. Great game but the map layout of the island didn't have much interconnectedness. The bandersnatches were just plain lame. And that poison has stun lock during the Nosferatu fight sent 12 year old me into a rage.
@12ealDealOfficial You have Dreamcast at launch too? Man. We were such a Sega family lol. When dreamcast came out it was a huge event. We also got House of the dead 2 with 2 light guns.
Code Veronica was one we had all been waiting on as we got every issue of Dreamcast magazine which came with a "GD-ROM" full of game demos, and CV was one of the demos (besides Jet "Grind" Radio, Soul Reaver, and Powerstone lol.)
Got any memorable or similar stories?
@@megamax898 Maybe because... you're wrong?
I find that this is one of the hardest series to rank since there's so much variance between titles.
It’s also difficult to rank because so many titles are just fantastic overall. Do I choose the Original’s Remake for being the best survival horror entry overall or do I rank RE2make for enjoying it more? It’s hard as hell man.
@sothatsdevintart2562 Probably RE1 remake because it is by all accounts the perfect survival horror game of all time, truly living up to that title. RE2 remake still suffered from the recent REmake curse of having cut content. Though not as bad as RE3 remakes cut content though.
Exactly. RE1 thru RE3 are all pretty similar. Then RE4 is almost it's own thing entirely. RE5 is RE4 on steroids (in more ways than one). RE6 is RE5 on steroids and then lathered in a layer of horse shit. RE7 and RE Village are their own thing. The remakes are their own things.
@@thegamingpigeon3216The remakes are basically RE4.5 that switches out groups of mooks for tankier enemies.
Yup, like I really don't rate RE4 because it was ridiculously goofy and I despise QTE's and preferred the cinematic cameras and aiming being difficult, but, I have some close friends who think it's the best game ever made. Though I do still really want to play it in VR but it's still exclusive!
Then we've got the whole mods situation to attended to. I didn't really like Vanilla RE2R, but the modding scene is really good.
The G-Virus mutated William Birkin, not the T-Virus.
For anyone that thinks Eveline looks like Alma Wade, the co-writer of RE7, Richard Pearsey, also wrote the two non-canon expansion packs for FEAR being Extraction Point and Perseus Mandate.
There's even what I am 90% sure is a reference to Perseus Mandate in the opening scene with Pete, Clancy and Audrey where Pete says he "Doesn't want a repeat of Amarillo"
Richard also wrote Spec Ops the line . Kinda crazy
I was happy till you mentioned peruses mandate story it’s interesting but everything else it killed fear
Shout out to the Resident Evil 4 HD Project that properly HD'ifies the PC port of RE4. Honestly the definitive way to play the game.
The custom FOV alone is huge. Going back to the default FOV makes me want to throw up lol.
Honestly I still swear the Wii is the BEST way to play Re4 the Wii remote and nunchuck just felt sooo fun and more immersive
@@autismincarnate3433 Yeah the Wii version is great. It's like the perfect evolution of a light gun game.
@@autismincarnate3433I thought it was the VR port.
Zero is ranked lower than the game you said nearly killed the franchise? That's certainly an opinion.
Being boring is worse than hilariously bad
@hauntedheathen2732 it's not at all boring it just isn't as good as the other linear re games
@@hauntedheathen2732 Boring? the F*CK! RE0 would be great if it wasnt so god damn hard.
RE6 is the worst RE imo, he even put RE3 remake below it... yeah sure, opinions, but still...
And yet those are both somehow ranked higher than the RE3make. RE3make might have been disappointing, but when the biggest complaint against a game was that people wanted MORE of it, ranking it below a game that "just isn't fun to play" like he says RE0 is just one of the weirdest takes I think I've heard.
It's crazy how Mikami and his team were responsible for both the greatest third person shooter of all time (OG RE4), and arguably the greatest survival horror game and remake of all time (RE1 remake). Two games with very different design philosophies and yet they both nail everything they set out to do. Capcom Production Studio 4 should've been kept together no matter what and had their genes cloned. Even the guy cleaning the toilets there must've been a genius.
There is a quite peculiar way to dodge zombies in RE0 that isn't quite as common in the other titles.
Basically you need to wait for them to lunge, immediately backstep just one or two steps, anf the zombie will miss.
After a zombie has missed to grab you with a lunge, it will be stunned for 1-2 seconds, in which you'll have the time to run past it.
Another thing with zombies is the difficulty to eliminate them with a knife. What you need to do is go for their legs. They fall over after getting stabbed two times SOMETIMES after three stabs.
You can use lunge dodge to your advantage in this because when they get stunned after a failed lunge you'll usually have time to stab them twice before they lunge again.
Although zombies have different walking speeds so this must be taken into account when fighting them in melee.
I've been playing this series since I was a fifth grader back in 1996 shitting myself because of the first zombie and I still believe that the REmake is one of the best games ever made.
Ditto! =D
Personally I stopped at Revelations 2, as that seems to mark the end of the original continuity.
Same. I have Chris and Jill tattooed on my leg.
Since DAY 1, this game had me hooked.
Absolutely, it truly is! One of the best games ever, one of the best Horor teror games ever and the single greatest Remake of a game ever!!
Bro, I’ll never forget the first time a killed zombie stood up and started clawing the shit out of me at maximum speed.
Fucking horror perfection.
Blood...Blood...I hope that's not Chris's blood!
Oh my cod!
JUSTAMOMENT! IT'S A WEAPON!
JUST. TAKE. A. LOOK. AT. THISSS
What? What is this?
To me, the worst part of RE3 is how many times Nemesis was in the middle of killing Jill and then just didn't. That's not a good way to be scary with a horrible unkillable monster.
He picks her up, then throws her, then points a flamethrower at her for 5 seconds while she runs away.
Nemesis picking you up should just be the end of you. Her staying alive has to mean avoiding that situation altogether. Lazy horror writing is what we got.
RENemesis is a dollar store Jack. Just an unkillable monster with none of the charm of the original.
@@dansmith16 TBH it was weird to me that Jack Baker didn't just kill Ethan outright a bunch of times (he knees you in the gut and then just stands there when he catches you).
But at least Jack is a crazy side effect rather than a full on BOW. I can at least head canon that away with "he lacks focus and is a bit of sadist because of all the poison."
Nemesis is like building an RPG whose grenade stops in midair and then fires a spring-loaded boxing glove at you before falling to the ground.
Nemesis in REmake3 is somehow dumber than the average zombie. At least the zombies try to kill Jill when they get the chance.
Maybe he's based on the Nemesis from the shitty movie and has feelings for Jill but he's still programmed to kill her, so he just fucks up everything to NOT kill her.
Just kidding, he's an annoying simp at best.
100%
I'm one of those guys that would have mentioned Code Veronica if you hadn't so, thanks for that.
Re:remake is the gold standard.
I disagree with some of your placements but you clearly recognize re:remake as the absolute best which i agree with
Is not.
The way Albert Wesker laughed in Code Veronica, sounds more of Count Dracula in Sesame Street.
Or Master Betty from Kung Pow.
Code Veronica Wesker is clearly a Terminator reference.
Having RE8 so low is criminal. I like that one almost as much as 4. It even reminds me of 4 with the action sequences. All that 8 really leaves to be disired is the fact it needs more puzzles and a bit less action.
Yeah. It's also fresh because it combines traditional fantasy with RE tropes, and this somehow works. Heisenberg and Dimitrescu are show-stealers and imo the more memorable NPCs in the franchise, certainly when it comes to bosses.
What 8 did poorly was the Miranda fight and the part you play as Redfield. Some hate the Donna part as well, but I do believe it's mostly because it becomes a chore the third time you have to play it. But the first time and even second time, I thought that was a genuinely good part of the game.
4 overstays its welcome I think. It's just far too long, and the remake has less items to unlock than 8 did.
I like it more than 4, mostly because it’s better at horror
Right?!
It also combines 4 different horror types. Creepy castle vampires, creepy dolls, Horror biomech enemies, and werewolves.
@@sandercohen9712 Honestly the Donna part was kinda bad in my first playthrough too. The moment it showed you could hide under the bed when you go get the fuse told me something would chase you, and all tension is lost when walking around a table is enough to get away from it. If it was an option area it would have been fine, but it being a forced section made me hate it more

They actually released a very well done mod to add an item box to RE0. It works on the typewriter, making type-writers your item box (and they do travel across all typewriters like an actual itembox).

Not including the Clock Tower in RE3 was unforgivable. One of my favourite locations in an RE game, so atmospheric and the music is great
Its insane how good RE Remake looks. The lighting on the character models perfectly matches the prerendered backgrounds so they don't feel out of place.
I just finished Resident Evil 1 remake a few weeks ago and it was hand on heart one of the most enjoyable games I’ve played in a while despite some frustrating controls and cryptic puzzles towards the end.

I just beat re2 remake on hardcore first time, it was incredible 🫡
How’s the Resi 2 remake going?
@@shannonblegh1919 Fantastic game - scaring the shit out of me though 😂
The OG RE2 is still the best game in the series IMO. It just has the perfect presentation, story, gameplay loop, and best pacing of probably any game I've ever played. If RE2make didn't cut true A/B scenarios and some other content it would have maybe taken it's place for best RE game.
My jaw was on the floor watching the intro fmv for Resi 2 (although it _always_ pissed me of that Leon one shots the diner zombie and we can't do that in game!) 😂

I’m glad we agree on how lacking the remake for 2 was. Some regard it as surpassing its original, but the developers didn’t seem to bother to much with the gameplay than they did with the graphics…
@@moongoalie2410 This is blatantly untrue. It refines the OTS gameplay from RE4 and Dead Space and succeeds at making a classic style survival horror game with OTS shooting. Everything about the remake is a massive improvement on the original from level design to sound design to enemy design to bosses and the gameplay loop with the re-introduction of defensive items from RE1 remake and it actually feels tense and scary unlike OG which was the easiest of the PSX trilogy by far.
That being said I consider both games about the same level only due to the lack of proper B campaigns. But it's objectively better in pretty much every other aspect except the soundtrack. Zapping system got replaced with window boarding which is much more strategic and fair.
@@greenymeeny It also lacks in enemy variety. The OG had more different enemies.
Like, in both RE2 and RE3 the things I wanted to see the most in the remakes were cut. I wanted some really disgusting slimey hallways and rooms for the moth, with maybe some corpses on the wall where the moth larva is eating the bodies. but the Remake just cut it out completely.
And with RE3 I really wanted to see Raccoon Park in RE Engine glory, but it doesn't even exist in the remake.
The best thing about these types of videos is reading the comments, comments where people say a persons opinion is wrong. Some people just can't accept some peoples options differ to their own.
Would be cool to see a follow up series ranking the side games like Revelations and Dead Aim
Dude, I asked for RE1: Director's Cut for Christmas JUST so I could own the RE2 demo. I played the hell out of that demo before ever playing the actual $50 game my mom paid for. Most expensive demo ever. It was marketing genius for them to include that because I couldn't have been the only one.
Actually mad that $50USD then is now over $95 lol.
And people think video games are expensive nowadays lol.
The RE3 remake has issues and was cut down but saying its worse that RE6 is worth fighting over. RE6 damn near killed the franchise.
Re6 was that bad they had to essentially soft reboot with 7 to get back to its roots.
I think it's fair. RE6 was at least a big swing. RE3make was an easy win that was rushed out the door. Big shame considering the other remakes have kept a high bar.
RE6 sold insanely well. I hate the game but it DID NOT almost kill the franchise. That was never gonna happen.
I played through every RE Game (also both Revelation) but the only one i havent finished to this day is RE6, its so bad its not even funny.
No a big fan of the RE2+3 Remake overall, but the RE3 Remake had at least a solid pacing and solid gameplay, RE6 is just pure garbage.
It's just his opinion no worries
Just watched FPS the other day. Was pleasantly surprised to see you show up in it! Great video as always chap. RE will forever be one of my favorite franchises.
Disagree with basically every single ranking but still enjoyed the whole vid
Seriously. It's pretty whack. His explanation of why he ranks each game where he does makes no sense.
The cut content from RE4 Remake was moved to the much improved new Separate Ways. So its a bit dishonest not mentioning it
He also doesn't mention Not A Hero, which ties up the Lucas plot thread, which unlike Separate Ways, was free, so him not mentioning it is even worse. I don't know how anyone can take this guy seriously.
It is separate which means, no one is gonna play it. We are here for mainline titles.
I listened to a 3 hour ranking hootenanny recently but still am excited as hell to see this. Haaaaaappy Easter.
The fact that Shinji Mikami is the director of both RE4 and RE1 Remake tells us how much of a great dev and team leader he is
Nice you finally pulled the trigger on this one! Hope that weird RE3R fans don't find your house!

Yeah, all two of them!
Lets hope the gowr fans find synthetic mans home tho
I've truly never understood the hate for RE0. Removing the item boxes was a mistake yeah, but the level design and puzzles, both classic and in terms of the buddy system, were great
Yeah, I have no clue how you can put 5 and 6 above 0. I like the partner mechanic, and found the drop items on ground option a good alternative to Drop means Disintegrated.
the item box removal was a huge pain, the enemies were boring (mostly animals and insect stuff), the story was like a weird anime, and GOOD LORD WHAT WERE THEY THINKING WITH THE HOOK SHOT
I don't think it's a bad game, it's just overshadowed by every other entry in the series.
I know he said he WASN'T ranking the spinoffs, but he did say that Item dropping never returned since Zero; That's not true, it exist in Revelations, you can just drop items on the ground if you don't want them, and they stay there, I don't recall if it was in One or Two, or both, but I do remember dropping Items in Two.
I’m convinced people just ironically hate it like Nickelback

Bro the og ps1 trilogy is still on ps3 psn for cheap ($10 each or under). Those games are fire and once you spend 10 minutes with the tank controls you'll get into the swing of things quick.
Its amazing how they nailed the survivor horror formula with the very first game. Playing RE1 in 2024 it didn't feel dated at all.
I’ve said it forever and it’s came up with the recent tomb raider remake. Tank controls aren’t dated, they’re a skill issue. The movement contributes to the gameplay, tension, and difficulty in these games.
@@krakenmckraken9128 If you practice your movement for like 5 minutes before you go into rooms with enemies its not even a big deal. They even give you a whole room to practice in in the original 1996 RE game. I think all those "I can't do tank controls" people probably haven't tried passed minute or so and gave up (or maybe they got disgruntled playing RE2 original or 3 original which throw you straight into combat from the second they hand you control). Whatever reason people don't like using tank controls it's a shame. You get how to use the them in just one game you'll be comfortable to use them in others.
For example I'm playing the Silent Hill series for the first time after playing the og RE trilogy and I didn't even flinch going into SH1's controls.
I have them on my phone. Tank controls work really well on a touch screen tbh.
Amazing list! And now we need a video just for the second line titles as well 😂 (outbreak 1 & 2, umbrella chronicles)
Playing RE6 with a friend is much more fun than alone.
Some of the things during my couple of playthroughs with friends made us laugh like never before. Great memories, good game.
I most of the time agree with you and your opinions.. But RE village being so low is criminal. Lady D is going to suck you dry
Village is not really an RE game, in my opinion. Was written by a westerner, borrows it's gameplay structure from a Ubisoft game, and kinda craps on the older games in terms of lore with Sheva not even getting an easy call-out and Chris being a bit of a jackass. Villains were more over the top than CV and felt more Marvel style in that way. It's not really in the same league as the older titles, though it's certainly not a bad game.
I expected REV to be RE Castlevania, but instead, you get Ethan being shat on by everyone and more Chris. How is it not Castlevania?
Damn I hope so
Shouldnt even be on the list, since it's barely a RE game.
@@12ealDealOfficial That doesn't matter. It's just a better game than most of those. How can bloody the mess that is Code Veronica or RE 0 be better than Village?
I will never get over Chris's treetrunk arms in re5.
You forgot crackwhore Jill.
The Game realy killed my interest in the Series when it came to Characters and Story, but RE4 already started with that.
Something people often overlook about Code Veronica is that the knife is really useful against standard zombies, meaning it’s very easy to conserve ammo in the early game
Resident evil code Veronica deserves a remake, or a remaster with a optional overhaul rebalance gameplay mode
with new features and a new game plus features and outfits and goodies other new single and Mercenaries modes stuff.
Criminally underrated.
Original re3 for me number one
Yeah definitively.
3make under 0 and 6 is wild.
RE3 remake was very lackluster after following RE2 remake. It's still great, but honestly it wasn't one I wanted to play through again.
butchered nemesis, re0 was amazing, 6 is plain bad
3R sucked, the only thing I liked about it was the escalating difficulty and the fact I got it for like $15.
3make has such good replayability and its short run time make it a constant quick replay for me on a bad day. It ain't great but it was a poor man's RE4 remake mechanically and its all I needed.
I'd switch 0 and 6. 0 is flawed but still classic RE, 6 I played once in LAN co-op and we both agreed never to touch it again. It was painfully sub-average.
They cut half of everything in Re 3 remake I can beat in in 2 hrs they need to Remake it again and do it justice lets start a petition. Nemesis chasing you the monsters and bosses cut and several locations from the original were cut-namely, the clock tower, the graveyard, the park, and city hall and The dead factory. Nemesis being the 1st true pursuer in the game was a big let down with what they did to him and don't get me started on his Super Licker Mutation they shoulda just added the super Licker they cut from RE 2 R
Its crazy how good the RE1 remake still looks.
Seeing that pile of inventory items is fucking hysterical.
It wasn’t historical back when you had to try to pick up a herb or key you want and keep getting the wrong thing 😅
I get your point about RE3make but I’d rather play it than many games you put above it. It fails as a remake but as a game, it’s pretty damn fun! Village should be higher on the list too!
Village would be fun to replay if it weren't for the awful factory area that is way too long and tedious. The game has too much padding similar to RE4make. So you can choose to ignore it and be significantly weaker or slog through the needless side content. RE3make is damn good fun even with all the stuff they cut and how bad they messed up Nemesis.
@@muccmasterDid 3 playthrough already, factory was alright for me, house of Beneviento on the other hand is really good only for fist time then not so much.
After buying a super expensive QD-OLED hdr monitor and replaying all the RE engine era games , the only truly visually impressive games were village and r3make lol. They were probably just still figuring out the engine with RE2make - and you can tell they kind of rushed RE4make. so many assets were reused and outside of a few rooms you can tell they just didnt have the time to really nail down a solid art direction, probably why some detractors call it "soulless"
You fanboy's overrate the modern titles way too much, all of them fall off the sub average at the halfway point with lame as hell boss fights on top of that
@@shanegale6143wow you could've saved yourself alot of money and just did a Google image search
Bruh I almost choked on my food when that zombie farted turning it's head 😂
What the hell, the water in the Resident Evil 1 remake still looks great
Gman: *Puts 3’s remake at the bottom*
Sphere hunter: “So you’ve chosen death?”
He's not wrong though.
Yeah but Suzi is a fangirl and she'd buy Jill's bath water if she could.
No chance 3make is the worst in the series. Wow . .
Great video, man, always like having long videos from you. Not totally agree with your placing but I get it. You should do another one with all the other RE games, maybe one with all the MGS games and another one for the God of war saga.
48:51 Lmfao at the Homer Simpson scream!!! 😂
You stirred up a hornet's nest, RE games vary so much in gameplay that it's hard to judge which one's the best. xD
That's why he specified that it was personal
I think anyone sane can agree 3make is far from the worse.
@@GigglingStoners nobody here brought it up so deep down... You know
@@GigglingStoners yeah it's slightly better than Village.
I haven’t even watched the video yet because I looked at the chapter list and got irrationally angry at multiple placements.
Chris' campaign in 6 was the closest for RE going full Call of Duty yet in Village they took it a step further with Chris' section going full Task Force 141 mode to the point where I'm surprised Chris didn't say "Bravo Six, Goin Dark"
Do you purposefully write your script around clips you can use from the game to emphasize your point in a comedic way or does that just happen naturally?
While he does preface the ranking with a message that these numbered titles aren't entirely 'bad', I'm certain there is a magnitude of players who will disagree that RE3make is a worse Resident Evil experience than the bloated scheisse that is RE6 - "the closest that RE ever came to CoD" - which prompted the reboot of the series. Gman, what'choo smokin' mate?
Screw RE3 remake and the bullshit cuts it did to the original game.
@@cloudtx RE2R did the same type of cuts to be fair. Your missing two entirely different playthroughs in the remake and the moth was taken out. End of the day to say the bloated mess of RE6 is better than RE3R is just insane.
7 exists and it's a basic indie horror game with more than one person working on the graphics, doing things worse than some of those first person indie horror games.
@@saloz9483 not just the moth. Crows, spiders and hunters were also cut.
Great list!! 😁
Damn! I’m honored, the man himself!
Dammit Gman, I already have a wild backlog and now here you have me wanting to replay some RE games now LOL. Solid list that I can agree with good sir. Cheers!
Embarrassing choice for worst. RE3make's biggest crime is being not as good as RE2make. The RE series has legitimately bad, unpayable games. RE3make is not one of them.
Code Veronica is #1 in my book... by far
Thank you. By FAR!!
What kills CV for me is how piss easy it is, you drown in ammo all the time.
Also not a fan of the weird tone in the Game with the crossdresser bad guy, felt out of place.
Opposite for me
Bottom of the mainline list but I haven't played 0 so who knows, it might be above that
That game is awful. I don't know what you people see in it. My least favourite in the series, easily.
The original RE4 also had a hidden dynamic difficulty where, if you were doing well, it would ramp up the difficulty, but if you were doing awful, they would ease up on the enemy count, give more items.
The Resident Evil save room themes always reminded me of the type of ambient moody tracks you would get on classic metal albums back in the day. Especially that REmake theme, sounds like King Diamond stuff.
Remake 4 is objectively better than 4.
lol shut up....
You crazy. Village is a really great game. My top three is 2(remake or original), 4(remake or original), and then village.
yeah i love Village too but apparently many ppl disliked it. Two of my friends who are into RE both didnt enjoyed village much..
RE7 and 8 are in top 5 for me for sure. The fact that he put RE6 next to village is actual insanity
Village is realy bad when you take a moment and look at it again.
I think i still would take it over RE7 because the replay value is a tiny bit higher but the Game did so much wrong its not even funny.
@@henriklarssen1331 I replayed the game like 5 times and still loved it all the same. I beg to differ
For me the first half of Village is incredible... And the second half just nosedives.
I played RECVX in 2014, after playing 4, 5, and 6 but obviously before the new wave came and i still put RECVX above every except the original RE4
I am absolutely here for the Sheva praise.
Not gonna lie, surprised to see RE3 remake so low. Maybe I’m just a freak but I really enjoyed that game.
its just his opinion
@@RoyalJesusChrist Yeah… it can still surprise me. That’s also an opinion.
I enjoy it as well and this ranking sure is something.
@@leeartlee915 well you said, you might be a freak, im just saying you are not a freak
Unpopular opinion: RE6 isn’t bad and is a decent game
It's a decent game, yes
But the complaint is that it's not a decent RESIDENT EVIL game, which I also agree with
@@whocares9033re6 is a good resident evil game. Not all re games have to be the same genre. In the context of the story, it would make sense to be a action game.
It's playable and is even loads of fun if you play with a friend at times. But it's easily one of the worst games in the series resident evil wise. It came out at a time where 3rd person over the shoulder shooters were really big, re devs thought that was what we wanted and were wrong.
@@Lilhajxjk274 lol, they turned it into an action game
Within Leon's first chapter there's like 4 different car crashes that wouldn't be out of place in a Die Hard movie
I literally uttered the joke "and a zombie comes flying in from the top rope" and it made sense
It's not a good RE game; face it
It’s an awesome game
The RE4 Remake is one of my top 3 favorite games in general and im not even a big horror game fan so that tell you how incredible it is
Re5 mercenaries CO-OP with my bother is my all time greatest gaming memory.
I could be wrong but I’m pretty certain that the guys at Capcom have conclusively said that RE:CV was never intended as a mainline game. It was always intended to be a spinoff that touches on plot lines from the main line series. It’s not like RE3 which started out as a spinoff and got upgraded to a mainline entry because Capcom wanted to capitalize on the PS1 gravy train.
No it was originally supposed to be the continuation but Capcom was stuck in a contract where they had to release the next mainline entry on PS1 so they slappped a 3 on nemesis which was the spin off and slapped the CV subtitle on CV for Dreamcast instead of releasing that as RE3
@@GarseJanacek So Capcom was planning to have the third release of their most popular series be a Dreamcast exclusive? Something doesn’t sound right about that.
@leeartlee915 dreamcast was a better-looking ps1. Why not have the next game be on it to show how good it could look? 🤔
Resident Evil 7 under 5 is confusing to me, I thought everybody loved RE7, compared to RE5, not saying RE5 was a bad game, but I'd say RE7 was better than RE5, as RE7 focused more on horror
Everyone did.. clown shit. Everyone you’ll ever talk to will say RE5 was just okay & RE7 was good af🤣

putting re3 remake below 0 and 6 is INSANE. I do however agree it was way too short.
I love RE4 original when Leon is left in the boat and he says "heh Wybyn"
Seriously, RE3 remake the WORST Resident Evil game? That's ridiculous. It's not a great game but was still a decent campaign but just was too short and no replayability, unlike 2.
I didn't think it was great flat but my god it was an amazing experience in VR.
In terms of replayability, which is arguably what this franchise is really known for, RE3R fails at terms of staying power.
Throw in the fact its existence is solely based on the fact Capcom needed an excuse to put a price tag on Resistance, and well, it deserves its spot on his list.
Capcom never wanted a RE3 remake and the developers had to convince them to make it, but the primary focus of the team was meant to be on Resistance, not RE3R.
I’d also argue the VR version isn’t widely accessible to a majority of people, which hurts that version more than it helps it as well. I don’t remember there being any marketing for the RE3R VR mode either now that I think about it, which again, hurts more than helps.
But a secondary, and very limited accessibility method of playing is not a point in its favor to make it a better experience.
@@SomaCruz500 I'm pretty sure the VR mode he's referring to is modded, not official content.
