I have inherited 80 acer of land from my dad in Congo. I was hesitant about farming but seeing a young girl like me doing it, im determined to go back home to do cassava and tomatoes farming as i now live in the USA
I just completed my studies. Gardening has always been my passion since childhood we had to grow our own food at the village. I will soon follow suit. Big ups to you.
wow I am so encouraged , I really want to go into farming, i strongly feel that my greatness is when I go into farming, I am under valued by what am paid by my employer. Right now am working on raising capital for tomato farming but I have little knowledge through research and reading different materials regarding same, now I need a mentor, some one to guide me through the process as they have had practical experience, so that I can be guided on what I have to do at each stage as well as the costs involved.
Be a farmer, be a millionaire! I was exposed to farming at a very young age, the area is prone to crisis, then relocated to less farming areas.... Couldn't continue, but I know I have passion seeing seed grow into something edible.... I'll invest some day into farming!
Happy for you, proud of you that you did not give up. I hope that you become the leader, who learns to grow so many different crops and encourages all to become like herself or better. The last one is very important = cloning yourself in others. When you make others succeed, and you don't stop, you will reach your true peak. Yes, there will be some lowlifes but be nice to them too when you slowly and gently let them go their own way - remain friends with them so that they don't go out and lie about you. Best wishes my child!
wooow u started this when u wr still young ,..m 22 doing broilers in zim....1 thing i hve learnt from u sis is not to give up ....not even once n from the day i watched this video m so consistent in agriculutr as a business
I am excited to see your resilience by African nature_ finally be fruitful in your own labor_ which will hopefully benefit the less fortunate villages_ and not benefit the colonizers and their nations_ As a matter of fact_ I hope and pray your seed is local and genuine and not GMO!!! which would be very detrimental for the people and the natural order of Proper Nutrition ? if you don't know what GMO'S Are _ then _I advise you to research_ understand and apply the knowledge so you can multiply in and for TRUTH!!! Nevertheless, may you prosper in your fields as well as your souls_ Peace & Ubuntu
Very interesting story my sister, Would you be happy to connect me the gentleman I would love to have a chart with him. Am just trying to start farming tomatoes but I think his the best person before I can do anything.
Greeting keep your work up i am from guyana,i grow celery and i am interested in the type of tomatoes that you are growing, where can i get the seed from
Tomatoes are strong plants. All the leaves and fruits that fell would compost back into soil nutrients. I love growing tomatoes, I love adding a little bit of bone flour in every transplant hole. It makes them fruit well and not have rotten bottoms on the fruits. Im not sure how accessible bones are but cooking them then crushing them yields good results NPK 4-12-0. If you soak the ashes in water the potassium will leach out into the liquid and that can be watered onto the crop and the coal can be crushed with the bones. Tomatoes love potassium. Adding the ashes to the soil can change the acidity of the soil to much and tomatoes dont like that
With tomatoes in particular I would be wary of using the fruit and leaves from the plant as composting materials. It is a very easy way to spread diseases in to the following seasons crop.
While making these videos can you please provide their fb id's or something like to contact them. As am from india and aspiring farmer can meet them on any of the platforms.
Eish, she had a lot of bad advice, huh. People saying 'remove the crop', 'don't fertilise' etc. Good that she kept at it. With a climate like yours those plants would be right as rain in no time. But for the rest very interesting story, a very clever and hard-working lady. Invest, keep working your dayjob and once you start selling those tomatoes, you start making a lot of money. I applaud her.
Hello Woman , I don't seen to understand one thing , you say your plant population was 6000 and I only see 17 lines , wat was yo row length and spacing ? thanks in advance
