Beterbiev has shown how he can cut off great foot work when he fought Gvozdyk. If Bivols power doesn't earn Beterbiev respect it's going to be a Beterbiev stoppage.

Most Beterbiev fights end in two ways:
*Overhand right to the temple* (Joe Smith Jr, Callum Smith, Callum Johnson...)
    Or,
*Right hook to the face* (Anthony Yarde, Preto...)
The only exception is fighters who moves too much. For them Beterbiev *beats down the body* (Gvozdyk, Usyk, Marcus Browne...)
I think Bivol will get exposed to the body. (If Lyndon Arthur can hurt his body, then he's in big trouble with Beterbiev)

I think they have the perfect styles to counter each other:
    -both 6ft (183cm height)
-same weight class (obvious, I mean noone is abusing)
-Bivol fights in and out, is a combination fighter and a master at controlling range, and has cardio for days
-Beterbiev is a KO artist, anything he punches he destroys, enjoys walking down oponnents
If Dmitry is able to keep his range, score points with combinations and withstand Artur's power, he wins.
If Beterbiev lands a good right hand or goes for an exchange, then he's gonna take it.
All in all, I give the edge to Bivol, seeing as he's 6 years younger, and a more evasive boxer.

Usyk and Bivol are very similar in style and skills. Both from the same part of the world where they train boxers to be tough as nails. Usyk had 3 fights with Beterbiev in the amateurs. He won 2 out of the 3 and the 3rd fight was a very close decision for Beterbiev. I watched all 3 fights and Usyk boxed Beterbiev just like he boxes any opponent, superbly. Beterbiev landed one big punch to Usyk's hip in all 3 fights and Usyk took it well. I'm going with Bivol as I think he's an all around better fighter.

I think this fight is gonna go the same way the Garcia-Haney fight went, Artur will wobble Bivol early, and Bivol will lack the power to keep Artur off him, and Artur will eventually bully him around and knock him out!

    • @benjamindo8142
      @benjamindo8142 Před měsícem +1

Comparing Haney to bivol is a massively disrespectful, although they're both technical boxers, bivol is still a boxer puncher, bivol definitely has enough to keep his opponents from developing their rhythm. He doesn't go for ko but boxing prowess to out box his opponents for all 12 rounds, he's obviously a very cerebral fighter.
Beterbievs never been tested the way bivol will to beterbiev. Bivol fights long where as beterbiev fights mid range. Bivol needs to stay off the ropes, & needs to be perfect & can win

He's badly hurt a few opponents he's fought. Joe Smith, Jr, Zurdo, Pascal, Salamov, and of course Canelo are all big punchers. Beat them all. True that Beterbiev is probably a bigger puncher than most. But, his defense is terrible and in every fight he gets hit a lot. Of course he's been down in two fights against nobodies. His offense makes up for his lacking defense so far. Bivol will exploit that lacking defense all night. No matter how tough you are getting hit consistantly in the face gets pretty discouraging. And, I actually believe that Bivol's power is greatly underestimated.

Beterbiev has faced plenty of boxers with great feet. One of these, Oleskander Gvozdyk, is a better mover than Bivol. He's also a murderous puncher. He put Adonis Stevenson - himself a destroyer - in a coma and almost killed him. What did Beterbiev do to Gvozdyk? He put Gvozdyk in hospital and retired him (temporarily - he has since returned to the ring).
In my opinion, the same thing will happen to Bivol unless father time has caught up with Beterbiev. Bivol has been ducking Beterbiev for years. He only agreed to this fight because the Saudis stumped up major cash. He'll train to stay on his bike for twelve, but I don't think he has the resilience to trade with Beterbiev on the inside.
Fun fact about Beterbiev: he has a shorter reach than Terence Crawford. Second fun fact: he's the only man to drop Oleksander Usyk in a competitive fight. The guy is a *murderous* puncher and everyone at 175 is terrified of him. One of his sparring partners said in an interview a few years back that he wears 20 ouncers in camp and still goes 75% because he destroys everyone who steps into the ring with him. He's a legitimate all-time great with a resume to prove it. Bivol is a typical box-and-move fighter who sits behind a long jab and quick feet to keep smaller men at bay. He's also a wife beater, which means I'll be cheering for the man who stands opposite him. Beterbiev by destruction.

These two are such opposites. Bivol's best attribute imo is his ability to sense distance he is always inches away while Beterbiev is a master of distance but in the opposite way; propelling towards you and hunting you down. Other Bivol strengths: very high IQ & ring IQ, best movement, his lead hand, guard and combinations. I think his weakness is his right hand (prolly injured it during the years cause its not what it used to be & he doesnt use it much). Although it looked better in the Lyndon fight after his surgery. Sometimes he lacks variation with the shots and is too eager to cruise instead of pushing the pace.. Should be a great intriguing fight cant wait!!
