- As soon as I heard my boy Nien Nunb died in The Rise of Skywalker I knew I had to make this video with my reaction. Sort of a cheesy video, I know, but I figured it topical to put out today, being May the 4th. More videos are on the way, so stay tuned. Like, comment, and subscribe for more!

Were you as shocked as I was? What are your thoughts on the sudden death of such a classic character?
When I watched the movie i said to myself in my head: oh he is fine. I actually thought he was fine but I guess not. The actor said he was alive but jj and the writer for the novel says he is dead so...... R.I.P. people complain about ackbars death but atleast it was acknowledged and we kinda saw it happen. The tantive 4 lands so that makes it all really confusing, maybe it was a different tantive from one of the ships that lando called in. Idk. Anyway have a good one

@@stretchscreamers if his death is confirmed in the novel then it is not canon as the novel can be thrown out the window when it comes to movies and these people did not learn one rule of filming "show, don't tell", but they rather tell via in novel or written form then such, so in the movie sense, he's still alive, so yeah

@@sunnex474 Not really, it got cut off before it got confirmed as such, but yeah, he technically did not die, that scene in the movie is too hard to make out, so they try to confirm it in a written novel way which more or less end up being non-canon anyways, also these people don't learn one rule or storytelling or making a movie, and that is "show, don't tell", but they rather tell in novel or written form, so there

Nien nunb was one of my favorite characters and in my opinion besides r2 was the funniest, just bc of his laughs and screams in the 6th one. I don’t count this last trilogy as canon so to me he’s still alive
Like Akbar and other cult classic characters, he gets a cheap death. Disney screwed the pooch with the way they killed some of these characters 🙄
What other cult characters? The only other character that had a similar death was Admiral Ackbar and the only reason he's popular us because of the meme. He's not a great character in the movies or shows.

You see, the _Tantive IV_ was a very old ship and was prone to exploding from such lightning. And it did. Explosions triggered inside the ship killed Nien Nunb and Urcos Furdam.
Nien Nunb was the one we love. Rest In Piece Nien Nunb. May he live on in our hearts, and in Lego merch, games, and an action figure.

This is unforgivable.. I guess they wanted deaths to have impact, but if so why not just introduce new characters and have them perish?

I don't think he Nien Nunb died. I think Nien somehow survived and after the battle. He went with Wedge Antilles and other rebel fighters to celebrate at some distant space bar or space strip club got real hammered celebrated with a bunch of hot female Alien species!!!!
