Salmon Fishing 2021

This is salmon fishing 2021 in the state of Washington. This year the Dash Point Pier was closed due to complaints of neighbors in the area claiming that the pier is unsafe. As a result I'm sure it will be closed for the upcoming years and fishing seasons as this has been the experience of some of the other docks in the surrounding areas. This is an abuse of power as any other fisherman will tell you. There is not one of us who believes this structural damage to be valid. Even their media outlets assert the same opinion as us fishermen. This is simply because surrounding neighbors to the public fishing pier are so upset that people are using the pier for it's intended purpose which has been done since 1907. The last pier stood and worked for 80 years yet this pier that was built in 1997 is suddenly not fit for use at the prime of salmon fishing in 2021. We all know this is an abuse of power and a corrupt system that allows this type of petty behavior. We all pay for our right to fish here and this is unacceptable behavior that the Tacoma Metro Park District allows these unsubstantiated claims to shut down the fisherman's piers at the peak of fishing. #FJB This video shows fishing from an inflatable raft, from the beach and from a bridge. We still catch fish even if they don't want us to. Had to be extremely careful when landing salmon on an inflatable raft so I didn't pop it. I caught lots of Pink Salmon including one king pink lol and a baby Chinook (King) which I released.
