@@kasonfavor9634 Texas A&M just lost to Appalachian State University today (10SEP2022) 17-14. They were ranked #6 in the nation. It's especially embarrassing considering that they're now in the SEC and Alabama almost lost to Texas, final score 20-19. Everyone is freaking out about Oklahoma's offense (why aren't we celebrating a great defence finally?) but in reality, almost every ranked team playing non-conference this week had a bad weekend offensively considering the opponent.
Side note, USC scored 41 and allowed 28 against Stanford, who barely beat Colgate. Ever heard of it? I'm not talking about toothpaste. It looks like the Riley/Grinch saga will be full effect in southern California as it was in Norman.

I mean dude, they dropped 45 against utep and than played the 2nd and 3rd in the 4th of that game. They played the 2nd and 3rd stringers with the last 10 minutes of the 4th quarter. But when that real test starts, and its starting this Saturday, i think they’ll be good.

A lot of teams seemed to play slow today. Georgia only beat Samford 33-0. Clemson beat Furman 35-12. Wisconsin went and lost to Washington State, Marshall beat Notre Dame, and App State beat Texas A&M. Crazy! I'm glad OU won. Definitely wish the O didn't start so slow.
Don't forget, Alabama only won by a point to an unranked Texas team using their backup who was playing on one leg.
AL beat TX 20-19 and probably should've lost tbh. That one too.

I am very happy with the defense and what I’ve seen so far. Mims definitely needs to be involved early on but would also love to see some of the other guys involved as well, spread the ball around some. I hope it gets better each week

OU offense didn' look good early but was real impressed with the QB not panicking, not throwing pick 6s, hold on to the ball take the sack - live for another down ... then once the offense settled/blocked man did he pick out open recievers and throw strikes .. Cudos to KS QB as well the runs/the throw down the sideline .. incredible.

I grew up in the 918 rooting for Nebraska, am a husker through and through. But the Sooners are going to go into Lincoln next week and mop the floor with NU...
Don’t bet on it, Oklahoma has been struggling on 3rd down defense and looks to still have some secondary issues, while their offensive scheme is still a little suspect as well as their o-line being undisciplined. Nebraska needs a way to rebound from their slow start and they are probably circling this game on the calendar as a means to save their season. All that and it’s OU’s first away game, so I definitely wouldn’t say that it’s for sure going to be a slaughter for Nebraska.

Oklahoma will struggle if Nu runs the 3-4. They switched to the 4-3 and have been atrocious, the players are out of position and the Def Coord is lost.

Who edited this? I'm being kind giving credit where it's not due, by calling whatever happened to this extended case of splicing hiccups editing. The cuts are horribly out of order. And to call the selection of plays "highlights" doesn't just miss the mark, it's tangential at best, and more closely in the opposite direction. Instead of putting in big plays, the majority are of the thumb twiddling variety. It's as if somebody purposely tried to bore viewers to death.

Love this staff love these players yall was amazing yea we had a slow first half but we came out swinging in the second. I love this team and these coaches no doubt in my mind about Brent in this staff or these players they got it right in the second half and that’s what matters things will it get better it basic right now but it will get better as we go and practice more things will get sharper are defence is in no question they ben pretty stout the past two games so yea few things to work on offense nun major they will get these things right next time come out better i believe in brent venables BOOMER SOONER 🔴⚪️⭕️U‼️‼️

We are a pretty beatable team, given today's performance.
Though, I guess that isn't saying much, since nearly every team is beatable.
Stark difference in tackling this week. Pretty surprised that the defense only allowed 3 points. No clue what the offense's deal was in the first half. Probably had to do with me watching. I specifically turned the game off before the half, because they always seem to do better when I do that, and funnily enough, they finally scored a TD right after I did.. Didn't look great today, but there were a lot of teams that unexpectedly didn't look good today and lost.
Next week against Nebraska will be interesting. 😐
I Agree with you unfortunately. Our offensive line is bad, Gabriel can't scramble, our run game is a little better than average. Defensive backfield still has a ways to go. I'm going to turn down my expectations for awhile.
We need to wait till morris is back to get a good feel of the O line. We have the capability to be pretty good. They showed some tenacity today.

What is truly shocking is both UTEP and Kent State have WAY better QB's than Texas A&M (if anyone watched that garbage). I watched last weeks game thinking "what is that guy doing at UTEP". Big and accurate. The Kent State QB had moves and an arm. In the NIL/transfer portal, he should have moved on to a bigger program!

He's not a rah rah guy pointing up to the sky. He's also not a tight end who can run well with poor arm talent. Tebow was a good system QB surrounded by lots of 4☆ and 5☆ blue chip players. He's a reserved QB w/ excellent arm talent.
