We are in Russia in a small village near the Volga River.
It's -35° outside now, and we're here to find out how the dji mini 3 Pro drone will behave in such cold conditions, for which, of course, it is not designed.
I will make a small spoiler, you can see what came of it now. Yes, the result, of course, is not very pleasant. But let's take it all in order.
The DJI company supplies its drones to countries around the world, and Russia is no exception here. But its inhabitants, who buy and use these models, sometimes cannot resist the temptation to use such a device even in their harsh cold conditions.
In this example, the drone was in perfect condition, without any problems or repairs, it had absolutely full performance and a good battery, which was also kept in a jacket pocket before launch in order to keep it as warm as possible.
Everything started fine. The drone functioned smoothly. I used the flyby function around the point and photographed the nearest beautiful church. On average, it took me about 15 minutes to remove it all. After that, I decided to shoot a video around myself.
The battery at that time showed that the Drone could work for another 10 minutes, so I calmly tried to use it, but here the problems began.
Flying up to me and I could not turn on the point flyby mode. Later I tried to use other modes, I also did not succeed. The drone referred to an error that was displayed on the screen, after which I could not even land the drone or turn off all the engines in an emergency. The drone simply did not respond to any actions on my part.
After about a minute of my unsuccessful attempts, the drone just turned itself off and snow fell straight.
The propellers turned out to be intact, but as you can see, something strange happened from the camera. It is now turned to the upper left side.
Having launched it again, we saw that the camera seemed to be working normally and decided to check what would happen to its flight now.
As you can see, by installing a new battery, it turned out to make it work again, but we didn’t experiment with long flights again.

Super helpful to know how the mini 3Pro performs in very cold weather.
Flying a drone in Canada, we experience temperatures of -40C too.
I hope to maybe fly it in -20°C
