    I got the same model. The cover to the power trim is rusting. I got it fixed under warrenty - and now that the engine has turned 5 year - it is rusting again. The older models had better rust protection!

    Is there any value or requirement to start and run the motor after performing the oil change if you're doing this right before storing it for the winter?

      Running the engine after an oil change is not required. However, some feel that it is beneficial to circulate the new oil throughout the engine before letting it sit for storage. It is completely optional.

    How do you take the bottom lower end of the outboard motor off?

    • @QuicksilverProducts

      There are several crucial steps involved when removing and reinstalling the gear housing from an outboard engine or sterndrive-equipped boat. We recommend obtaining the service and repair manual for the product you own for step-by-step instructions and torque specifications. If you own a 150hp outboard from Mercury Marine (as shown in this video), we recommend reaching out to Mercury directly for a manual. Contact details for the nearest Mercury Marine facility can be found via the link below. Thank you!

      877761K01 and 877761Q01 are the same exact filter, just branded differently. K01 refers to the Mercury-branded filter you would find at your local Mercury Marine dealership, and Q01 is the Quicksilver-branded filter you would find at local retailers who are not Mercury Marine dealers.

    7/16” hose huh? WRONG

    • @QuicksilverProducts
      @QuicksilverProducts  Před 9 měsíci +2

      A 7/16" inside diameter hose is exactly what was used in this video. It is also what is recommended by Mercury Marine in the service and support material written for the 150hp FourStroke outboard.
