My 1st new car was a 1971 Alfa 1750 Berlina, put a smile on my face every time that I drove it and I drove it hard. Thank you for the video.

I'm imagining my fellow American drivers watching this and just CRINGING as the Giulia's tach crosses 6,000 RPM. I say... GOOD FOR YOU! That engine was designed to be driven hard; we Americans have had a lot of trouble with these little twin-cammers because they just don't know how to drive them. Alfas need to BREATHE!
And what an elegant little sedan! Certainly not sexy but incredibly charming- I love everything you've done to it. Thank you for sharing your car and your thoughts... if you care about driving, then at some point in your life you simply MUST own an Italian car- bravissimo!

I've owned several older Alfas -- '70s through '90s -- but a nice 105 Giulia has become the one I really want (along with an SZ but I've only room for one in the garage). Beautiful example, I really love what you've done with the dash!

I'm just 1:53 in the video and I'm loving the sewn dashboard and the naked dash that is free of a radio. At the age of 23, 64 now I had a 68 Gt Jr euro 1300 and a friend who happens to work on Alfas couldn't believe that it was a 1300 with so much torque 🔥🔥 that was the best car ever 👍😉

Thanks Denis. It's really great. It's can just about fit four large adults, and as standard they're very comfortable and refined, and are fun to drive at even normal speeds. Mine has Alfaholics suspension so it's more harsh over rough roads, but still good. The only thing I will say is that if you plan on using it for long trips then get one with the 1600 engine, the 1300 is fine but the 1600 has more torque and longer gearing which makes it a bit better at high speed cruising. But the 1300 is a very sweet engine that loves to rev.

Since the plan is to go on longer trips around in Europe.
You have gone with the same suspension and wheels as I would've done.

TheWheelWorld: Thanks and the same to you bro. I have owned my 124 Sport since 1980, and am on my 3rd Giulia. My first one I bought back in ‘83. Pretty much all my cars have been classic Alfa’s and Fiats. Like your Giulia, I am in the process of upgrading it, Alfaholics suspension, leather upholstery, Nardi etc etc.
@@1240enzo there's just something about them. And I love the way you can make them exactly how you want, from an aggressive road/track car to a comfortable sports tourer. Let me know how you like the upgrades!

Thank you Samuel! They have been rising in recent years but the classic car market has died down a little - I imagine it'll go up by about 15-20% in 5 years.

Hi, these are Bridgestone B250s. I like them, they're not too stiff in the sidewall, they break away nicely and communicate very well. However, I'd like to change to Pirelli CN36's for more delicate, lighter steering and more progressive sliding.

Top tip for new players, the video shows heel and toe rev matching, although good practice, this will not help the syncros. The correct method for this is to double declutch and rev-match with heel and toe. Like this video from approx 4 mins czcams.com/video/ucwtXkCfcbI/video.html
