Copa Mundial leather care

  • Here's a video on how I look after my Copa Mundial football boots after the leather has been soaked and then dried.
    I would normally use Dubin after my boots have been cleaned but after a drenching I prefer to use a leather dressing as it is more effective in penetrating the leather.
    I have found that GE-WY leather dressing also works well on motorcycle leathers. This would probably be true for most brands of leather dressing.

    I love the white laces in the Copas. I did that when I was in high school just because it was different and it drove my assistant coach (who was a college player) crazy. He didn’t have a problem with me doing it, in fact he was really cool about it, he just found it incredibly distracting.

      Roel, Thank you for the compliment. I would have started wearing this pair in 2009 for both coaching and playing (over 35 years of age league). I always have two pairs and alternate between them. I replaced an older pair with a new pair at the beginning of 2020. Besides good fields to play on and my care and maintenance, I think the weather also helps as I live in a dry climate and my boots don't get wet very often. I've worn Copas for many years and as expensive as they are, I wouldn't like to wear any other football boots.

      @@afndstheguns3600 I got the product from a shop/store that is in business for people who keep horses. It's used to maintain saddles, bridles and other leather equipment. If you can find such a store in your country, they may not have that exact product but they should have something similar of the same quality.

    Where you get the white laces from?

    • @bobby2292
      @bobby2292  Před 9 měsíci

      I got my white laces from an eBay AU seller. I buy only cotton laces because I find that they don't come loose and undo like the Nylon laces. The laces I buy are 100cm. They also come in other sizes, 120cm and 150cm.

    Any sizing tips?

    • @bobby2292
      @bobby2292  Před 3 měsíci +1

      Unlike other shoes/boots that may be made in two or more factories around the world, Copas are only made in one place so if you have tried them on and know your size, you can buy them from any supplier in the world and they will fit. This allows you to chase the sales. I don't think I've ever seen Copas at a reasonable sale price here in Australia. It's always a risk buying shoes that you haven't tried on as I found with other Adidas shoes. I find that other Adidas styles (Samba for example) are too narrow for me.
