It pains me to see how useless delhi are now. Every civ advantage they had has been nerfed. ill miss my elephants :(

lol I have heard plenty of Australians say "honed" with the H, at least from Perth thats where I picked it up living there some 17 years.
Damn the Delhi nerf is just too much.. the timing of sanctity is almost around a fast castle age anyway (about 8-9 min for tech so a bit faster) we have no real combo in feudal age and we cannot draw our enemies out to meet us in the early or feudal age now. If we dont succeed as Delhi in the narrow 2-3 min window after castle age up, we know it is almost over. The special thing in emperial age was such a fast max out on tech, but now we have 15x research.? To reduce that significantly requires so many mosques and a crazy management of your Gold in castle age..
If you ask me.. it was too much.
yeah people on the forums/reddit say that delhi "can still get sacred sites faster than anyone else" but if you actually time it, they get it at the same time anyway. china/HRE fast castle is 7:30-8 minutes which will be the same time when sanctity finishes.
and that assumes you don't put a *single* scholar in a military production building for the entirety of feudal age. and if you don't, you will need more wood villagers for more production buildings therefore slowing your castle time.
It's also bugged so that the research still takes too long. I'm not sure what Relic was thinking when they did that nerf though. Feudal Age sanctity? I can live with that, but the x15 even unbugged? Bruh, that's their main gimmick is the mosque - scholar = fast research speed. Don't fuck with it.
a couple points. In this game, a healthy number of mangos wrecks all of chinas comp except palace guards, going full MaA and not pushing seemed like the big mistake here. But also, remember your university can hold 20 scholars, no mosque spam needed. And by the time you get sanctity youll have quite a lot of scholars, while around a similar time, even fast castle players are just now able to get out religious units. I think there's a lot of potential for Delhi post patch, people are just still in the shock and mourn phase rather than theorycrafting. Btw, could delhi not get relics age 1?

How is a university relevant for when Delhi isn't in Imp? You can't build the uni before then.
While I'm researching sanctity and dumping res into scholars, enemy has 2 TC boomed and is dumping res into units, blacksmith upgrades and eco techs, all faster than Delhi. How are you planning to hold half a sacred site again?
Exactly what potential do you see in a civ that doesn't get Pro Scouts FC, has to dump 200 wood and 75*5 gold to get anywhere close to decent speed upgrades, has no defensive landmark, has no eco bonus, has no feudal UU, whose tech speeds are just straight bugged
@@krityaan University is relevant bc you were talking about 15x Imperial research speeds. You should still be continuing to produce scholars prior to imperial. Other ages are now faster with less scholars.
The rest of your argument completely ignores that Delhi is paying literally nothing for any upgrades, that's quite an eco bonus and means resources are being spent 100% on military and economy WITH upgrades. That's the potential I see. The bugs obviously make this discussion moot at the moment, but that's not really a balance discussion, Delhi just can't be played as intended at the moment.

China got buffed so much and Delhi got nerfed so much. Really I don't know why Sanctity was moved from Dark to Feudal. Yes, they were trying to tone down a powerful Delhi strat, but what the devs actually did was completely take away one of Delhi's only early strategies.

China is aggressive because of a balance patch, but ok
@@havoc8600 They've had this potential since launch but no one really understood it. I've been scratching my head watching the pro scene take over a month to figure out the power of imperial officials...it's like if when SC2 launched for the first month no one had built queens and then complained zerg were underpowered.

@@blodypirate1 Turin is a great caster for TW:WH. But his knowledge base does not come close to what Aussie has on AoE4 and in general AoE style RTS strategy.

I am not a native english speaker and I like your pronounciation. I would say words like "hp" or "herbs" the same way. There are just few words I dont understand, which are a mix of lack of knowledge or some regional dialect. All in all I think you have a nice and clean articulation, which helps me to understand a lot :).
English is a language notorious for inconsistent pronunciation. I think the confusion comes from the letter "H" being pronounced differently than the "H" in hit or health (points). Also doesn't help that different dialects pronounce things differently as well like the whole herb thing.

Only thing I'm confused about is the honed blades, we do say the H. We just don't stress it. Like the steel you use on your knifes before you cook, honing steel or honing rod. From Melbs btw
Thank you for leaving player line of sight on during scouting. Some other good casters out there make the mistake of leaving the thing "fully uncovered" all the time, and scouting is so important in this game and seeing how top players do it for each map is hugely helpful to us nublets!

I always thought about Delhi as the protoss (hold off any aggression and then go for a castle age timing push. But they are so bad that castle age timings don't work any more 😭

Building mosque first safes you minutes for researches. If u start second age you loose about 4-5 minutes

Im Australian and dude there is no Australian way of pronouncing the letter H. You can pronounce it either way. Either way is correct. The way it's said has nothing to do with being Australian. If someone told you otherwise, they are wrong.

Imperial was not on it this game, lots of inactive time with vils, went horsemen for no reason. He was asking to lose this. Though the mar did more than I expected.

Not true, Sanctity allowed you to capture the sites in age 1, but usually by the time the research was complete you would be in age 2 anyway. Not being able to even start the research until age 2 is a big nerf.
@@retnuHDJ I was pretty sure that the tooltip of the tech said that it allows me to capture holy site in the feudal age. Which is as far as I know the second age.
I also had the experience that I never was able to conquer holy sites in the dark age. But this could also be, because of the slow research and the fact that I focused on fast castle with Delhi.

Love drongo justifying how Aussies say H - but only bogans say Hache, his Honed blades argument is nonsense because no one drops the H sound for that word. Next he'll be saying we call Australia Straya because people aren't taught how to speak properly. The American pronounciation of (h)erb, is due to them using the french way of saying it.

hey dude pronouncing h as haitch is not an Australia wide thing, loads of people are taught that the correct pronunciation is aitch and honestly as an australian this is the first time Ive ever heard anyone say that haitch is actually correct. It largely just comes down to irish catholic heritage as in irish english it is pronounced as haitch, however technically in Australian english the "correct" pronunciation is still aitch.
P.S. not trying to rag on you mate just didnt want people thinking haitch is an australian pronunciation also love the casting mate this content is incredible, would love to see some more games from you though
