Saw Goldie and LTJ drop science in Detroit last year at Movement. Blessed to have been there! I just saw Bad Company (Maldini) in Chicago last night and I am charged! The culture is still here and I love it! For some reason I am just now seeing these interviews but I am so happy they are here for my viewing pleasure. Once again, thanks, DJ Ron for uncovering all this history for all of us passionate junglists.

See this is an interview which benefits those of us who were tape collectors due to being kids at the time. Never until now would I think that DJ Ron and Goldie might have misunderstood one another cos they're both the archetypal junglists of the early 90s to many of us... Ron used to spin for Congo Natty long before he was known as Congo Natty, whereas Goldie was a crazy aerosol scientist who was the heart of Reinforced Records, the most out-there label pushing jungle music at the time, in terms of genetic modification. I get the sense that there was conflict between the organic junglists focusing on roots and a junglist synthetic element craving a fusion of technology and with the soul in a totally progressive fashion, reminding itself that there was no fashion. This genre had united people from all walks of life so the Rufige and Metalheadz vibe was a mutant which I'm sure I'd have been shocked by, especially if I'd got a very strong Caribbean heritage. The West Midlands is a machine.

Can never get my head round how G bowed down to the Babylon (the royal family) and with it dnb music. I will never forget how the establishment went to war with the scene and tried to end us...

      I hear you on this.
I have thought about this and have a feeling that Goldie somehow doesn't make the calculation that the royal family and the monarchy are bad people and somehow respects them.
Either that or he totally does get it and he's pretending to be happy and grateful and 'play them', which some may say may be a smart move because that way he doesn't ruin his reputation and livelihood by contesting and challenging them, because they have the money, power and influence to destroy a Person and their reputation.
Personally, i would never bow to them.
      No chance

What you'll need to make a hot toddy:
35ml of whisky - this can be a single malt but is actually better being a blend for a more robust flavour.
    1 tbsp (Scottish) Honey
    Sugar
    Two slices of lemon
    Cloves
100-200ml of hot water - depending on how strong you want it.
A glass with a handle - or even a mug
[Optional if you want to experiment]
A stick of cinnamon (for an extra hit of spice)
Star anise (for extra sharp flavour to help clear the airways)
Peated whisky (for those who prefer smoky flavours)
Rum or gin (for those of you who don't want to use whisky)

Someone who acts like an eshay*, but does not do anything...like the the typical couch surfer that doesn't do anything at all.
*= A member of an Australian youth subculture favouring sportswear and electronic dance music, and commonly associated with criminal activity.

Its absolutely discgraceful. From what I heard, he fell out with Peshay because he couldn't control him. Peshay went his own way. And, if he is what Goldie suggests he is here, why was Peshay one of only 2 people (at the time) to remix anything on Timeless? Smells of some serious sour grapes to me.
