- The Gakunan Railway Line (岳南電車岳南線 Gakunan Densha Gakunan-sen) is Japanese railway line between Yoshiwara and Gakunan-Enoo, all within the industrial area of Fuji in Shizuoka Prefecture. The line does not have any official name. This is the only railway line Gakunan Electric Train Co., Ltd. (岳南電車株式会社 Gakunan Densha Kabushiki-gaisha) operates.
The operator company was established on April 1, 2013 as a subsidiary of the former operator Gakunan Railway (岳南鉄道 Gakunan Tetsudō), a subsidiary of Fuji Kyuko.

Another great video showing how seamlessly trains snake thru neighborhoods. Love the old stations and unused sections of tracks. Really gives this line some unique characteristics and amazing views. Thank you for sharing as always!
As others have said, this was a really interesting ride. The views are all over the place. From Fuji San to industrial to run down stations, to lovely residential, to nice patches of green. Thanks for the upload!

What a wonderful little railline. One day I wish to visit Japan and Mt. Fuji is on my places to see. Maybe I'll have to ride this line to get there :p. Still, if Fuji-san decides to blow, this town will go with it.

Yeah... those stations it stops at are looking pretty run down. But also so lovely.
Definitely has a "running-on-borrowed-time" look about it, both from equipment/infrastructure and patronage perspectives.
I think the railway was once former freight line as it snakes it way through industrial complex before ended up in suburban quiet residential area.
