The Gakunan Railway Line (岳南電車岳南線 Gakunan Densha Gakunan-sen) is Japanese railway line between Yoshiwara and Gakunan-Enoo, all within the industrial area of Fuji in Shizuoka Prefecture. The line does not have any official name. This is the only railway line Gakunan Electric Train Co., Ltd. (岳南電車株式会社 Gakunan Densha Kabushiki-gaisha) operates.
The operator company was established on April 1, 2013 as a subsidiary of the former operator Gakunan Railway (岳南鉄道 Gakunan Tetsudō), a subsidiary of Fuji Kyuko.

railfan aunz, it always raises the quality of my day to a higher platform when I observe and witness the railway contents of your channel with my own eyeballs. You have contributed true success to the CZcams platform (for all to see).
I totally agree.

20:30 cool to see the bullet train zip by
I noticed in the upper right-hand corner, I could actually see the driver acknowledge the signals and sings he observes throughout the drive. Got to admire the discipline and safety consciousness here! And a nice drive too!

railfan aunz happy new year! Thanx for you video!
The sun DOES set in the Land of the Rising Sun.
I've never been in Japan, WTF I feel nostalgic?
Happy New Year =) I think it's the anime experience ^^ Those railway-crossing sounds
@@xpgx1 That too, but overall... That twilight slowly falling over residential areas interspersed with industrial ones... It's not exactly the same like how it was at my childhood in my native city in Russia, but probably there's something in common.
I think it's a universal sentiment.
"And when a train goes by, it's such a sad sound
No, no, no, no, no
t's such a sad thing"

There are an episode from Japan Railway Journal about this line, very good.
In Europe this is called a light rail line :) It might sound like a train.. it might try to be a train but the surroundings and the short distances between the stations tells me otherwise. Love the video! Later on this line could become a very nice light rail line.
To me it still IS a train, though. In Japan similar units operate in very rural areas too, and often over considerable distances. The likes of the Shinkansen are all very well (when one is on business and in a hurry!) -- but to me they are essentially "air travel at ground level", and much the same goes for TGV/ICE/AVE etc. in Europe. I've travelled on all kinds of trains in Japan, but the slow, stopping trains will always be my favourites for allowing the visitor to absorp the atmosphere of the country (and the true spirit of railway travel).
Hi from kazakhstan 👍👍👍👍👍
Nice content, but I *wish* your videos were in 60 fps!
Is this Japan's smallest railway / operator ?
500.000 people had to run for the water in the south of Japan and the railways there, a lot of damage?
Wheres all the snow? It's winter now.
It's the green winter we are experiencing where I live in northern Europe. I want the white stuff too.
Didn't really see any signs of poverty myself. Yes, the line serves an industrial area but the businesses, homes, and people we see in the video look clean and prosperous enough!
