Kenny is flashy, bigger than life, a ladies man, smooth, suave, & has been married 5 times & has Dolly Parton & Barry Gibb as his best friends!
There might have been better male country singers than Kenny Baby, but Kenny is the coolest & suavest of ALL the guys. Women just love him!
Me to
Lost my Dad in 2004...I’m so grateful now for the long car rides listening to Kenny on repeat ❤️

My dad passed away 10 years ago and this song just reminds me of him so very much. We live in Vegas and my mom and dad met him in a hole in the wall casino one night. They said he was so down to earth and kind. I’m so jealous of Nicole, I wish my husband could sing but we’d all go running if he actually sang.....so. LOL
MommaShawna. I myself am jealous of Kieth Urban.
If I tried to sing I'd be arrested for disturbing the peace

The first record I ever bought with my own money was his greatest hits way back in 1979! I was 9 and I played the hell out of it. I’m 51 now and still love that sweet music man.

“That which does not kill us, makes us stronger.”
You're right about that,16 year's of sobriety here in Philadelphia and now a duplex homeowner. Thank God the Father and his beloved son Jesus Christ for my Strength. 🙏
That which makes us stronger, also kills us.
@@michaelgaynor6866 Amen!
i got paralyzed at 21.......well it didnt really make me stronger, lol
Unfortunately for many this saying is incorrect... that which doesn't kill us also makes us more fearful and anxious in life. Traumatized. Such as soldiers after war.

As a kid in the 70's and early 80s Kenny Rogers always seemed to always be on the radio...surely part of the soundtrack of my life
I’m from Australia and I wen5 across the Simpson desert with about 10 other people. After we got across the desert, took about 4 or 5 days, we stopped for the night at a place called mungeranie, the it was just me and everyone else in my group in the bar other than Phil, who was the bartender and he did a performance to The Gambler, it was great. I’m only 15 but he said he wasn’t wearing his glasses and thought I was 30 so when everyone else got shots he gave me some shots too! I didn’t drink them but it was hilarious.
I would listen to his 8 tracks in my parents bedroom all day long growing up. Truly, missed for sure !
I absolutely loved Kenny Rogers.. my dad said every year from age 5 I wanted nothing but tickets for Christmas..
The Gambler has faded off to sleep but his talent will live on in our hearts & memories. RIP Mr. Rogers.love & condolences to his family.

I got a chance to see Kenny Rogers live back in the 80's. He was awesome and it was truly a memorable experience. Rest in Peace Kenny....
My man My man Kenny Rogers!!! I absolutely love this great American Country Legend 😍 I always loved talking to him on Twitter ❣️I will Miss You Kenny Always ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Kenny was an icon even in my early days, with First Edition songs like "Ruby". This song always gets me, even to this day. The imagery and lyrics are so clever; possibly the best example is the verse where "I handed him the bottle, and he drank down my last swallow, then he bummed a cigarette and asked me for a light.." The old gambler really had chutzpah! But, the most touching was the line, "And somewhere in the darkness, the gambler he broke even..." There's a genuine affection for a man the narrator barely knew, but was appreciative of the wisdom this man imparted on him.
Don Schlitz wrote this when he was 23 years old. Imagine that. And when Kenny recorded it, it became his own. It was the perfect fusion of song and singer, the story of a misspent life and the lessons learned from it, told to us in a voice that reflected the hard life of the person telling it. Kenny's "whiskey tenor" was uniquely appropriate. A classic, in every sense of the word.
RIP Kenny Rogers. Thank you for all your years of entertainment! And thank YOU, Keith. Beautifully done!
Hello MEBs. How are you doing?
Great performance Keith, keep up that good work!
He did finally break even . RIP Kenny you will be remembered for all your songs
I was so lucky to see Kenny singing with Dottie West in Chicago during the 70"s. I loved his "Ruby, don't take your love to town" while I was in Vietnam from 68-70! He had THE VOICE! He will be missed. That kind of music just is hardly made anymore today. I feel bad for our children & grand children who have no "good" music to grow up on.
Wildroot V'nam Ruby is my Favorite of his
Yeah my favourite too ruby n Lucille you picked a fine time to leave me
#KEITHURBAN #RIPKENNYROGERS

When I was a Lass, Kenny was rock/folk. I loved his music, the message, the voice, and the handsome face of the man that sang his way into our hearts. RIP, Kenny Rogers.
What a great tribute 💜❤️💚
I saw that performance done by Keith. It was nostalgic. It took me back there to those days. All of the tribute's I've seen has been like that. I used to have his posters on my wall as a teenager. He was the first gray haired man I ever fell in love with. Ahhh... back in the day.... memories.....

I've been listening to this song since it first hit the radio waves. It's stuck with me my whole life.
" you've got to know when to hold them, know when to fold them, know when to walk away and know when to run. You never count your money sitting at the table there will be time enough for counting when the dealings done. "
Words to live by.
Thankyou Kenny.

I remember this growing up as my Baba was a big fan. We played this at the nursing home for her and the staff played all of his CDs for her all the time and sang along. When she was dying we had this on 24/7 for her. Then we had his songs on at her funeral.... Class act #KeithUrban.... #KennyRogers is looking down at the world and smiling.... He's playing his best concerts for God now...... God Bless Everyone.... Amen ☦️💒🤲🙏🛐🛐❤️💙💜💚🎙️🎧🎵🎷🎸🎹🎺🎻🎼📻🥁
Great job, Keith.
We used to sing this at my son's baseball games when they were trying to hold the other team back from scoring. Loved Kenny so much.
Hello Catherine. How are you doing?
During my long time in country radio, I got to see Keith when he was just starting his solo career after The Ranch, and got to spend about an hour with Kenny Rogers. Keith is of course super talented, and Kenny was one of the nicest, most gracious artists I ever met. Funny, too, and I'll never forget sitting next to him while he played "The Greatest" on acoustic guitar.
Very Beautiful. It was awesome. Kenny would be proud!!
