Theres no real way to prepare for highschool for a person like that. I was just like her, so kind and naive. If i could go back in time and give my younger self advice, i would just be blunt and say people are going to suck. Everyone in highschool is going through something difficult and they don't know how else to take it out healthily, so sometimes they will take it out on themselves, and sometimes on you. The best thing to do to protect yourself through highschool is to be vigilant, and even if the whole world seems to be against you, keep standing up. Stand up for yourself because you deserve the best, and stand up for people around you even if you think they suck too. Sometimes, the kids you meet in highschool have never met a kind person in their life, so being that inspiration will change everyone's life around you even if you don't realize it.
I'm in 9th but it works great for me and improved my social life a lot. Let her know to be kind to people but make clear boundaries and stick with them (it might take a few times of pushing) people will eventually respect them. If someone isn't respecting her leave them but still be kind to them just don't go overboard. Try to be good with more than just her friends. Be honest but try not to be too harsh ( some harsh is good because it will let them know they can trust her opinion). Still be her and if needed (it sounds like it) fake some confidence. Don't appear sad often. Look approachable. Not to be afraid to laugh at herself. I hope that helped.✌😊☺✌

She was my maid of honor and held my hand while i gave birth because my husband passed out 🤣 We had sleepovers and did each others makeup. She taught me how to care for mixed hair for my daughter. She was the oppitome of the "here girl, let me help you fix your crown". She always had a good word to say about everyone. She was the most inside and out beautiful woman ive ever come in contact with. She taught me sooo much about grace and true beauty in the time i knew her. I grew up rough and was definitely rough around the edges. She was like my mom and my best friend and sister all thrown into one and had the widom of a grandmother when she tells you stories around the fire. my husband and i both credit her for with being the reason we are who we are today. Him because he grew up with her and me because she was my soul sister. This reminded me of her for a split second and my heart sped up. Thank you for this. You look just as beautiful as she did ❤️
