- A nice, simple and fun quali messing around and trying to find that grip.
Result, pole by 2.3 seconds not bad for lots of traffic and lots of mistakes!

Ben Rushworth Still on the drive... wanted to get it into Select Motorsport to have that and some other bits done, but when I finally got a slot, my flatbed I booked let me down. Probably get a local guy I know well to do it, now.

Gaaah I would absolutely love to see you pedal your Honda over here in australia in the improved production series, the competition is intense and I reakon you would have some awesome battles with alot of different cars. Thanks randy, we race with different classes ranging from 145bhp/ton up to 260/ton so the speed difference can be quite big.

😂 The weight of the steel one alone should prevent it departing! Also bolts that stay in the patent material is a major bonus, bolts work well that way 😂
Haven't read into 750mc yet but been watching your videos. Is there a reason you're considerably faster than everyone else? Straights for example?
There are 3 classes in the same series. Class c is 145bhp/ton, class B 200/ton and class A 260/ton. I'm in class A and we are allowed considerably more modifications to everything so just power to weight ratio. So the speed difference can be pretty astounding.

Is your car in another class, and your catching up? Or just had more cash and mods than the other 750 mc members?
That quali had 3 classes and 2 championships in it, so a lot of the cars are much lower spec. Cash is the one thing I don't have, I've built everything on that car and sponsors provide parts and running costs. In the race there were only 4 cars in my actual class as most didn't bother turning up as the championship had been settled already.

@@onexqw12 no worries fella. To make a grid viable they have to create a lot of scope for entries in modified classes. So yea, there is a huge difference in speed. The difference between my lap record and the slowest car on the circuit was 30 seconds!
do you have any plans to do an off-season update. Fill us in on what’s been done/improved/changed on the car over the winter etc? New sponsors etc?
Sure do! Working on it as there is a huge amount of changes being made. But as with everything, finding the time to do it is the hard part.

It does! Still on the same clutch and gears and synchros for 3 seasons. My shifter and cables just suck balls though.
And yes I do, helped a customer pickup 12 seconds in a morning at Silverstone gp few weeks ago, and he's a racer.

Would love to know your final drive and gear ratio setup seems perfect ??
Stock ep3 4.74 fd and 1/2/3 gears with gear-x 4/5/6 basically shifting the stock 5th 0.923 to 6th and splitting the gap with the new 4th 1.304 and 5th 1.080

@@leezo1486 thanks bud! Works for me as I have a k24 and 8100rpm limit. But when I had a k20 and 9200rpm the only difference was swapping to a 5.1 fd.
I’m probably going to do 5.333 final drive jdm 4th, oem 1.027 5th and mfactory 0.851 6th for my dc5 k20 track car
@@leezo1486 it'll probably be cheaper and stronger to keep the 5.1 and use gear x 4/5/6 like I did. Going 5.33 makes 1st gear redundant and effectively turns your box back into a 5 speed as you'll never use 1st
14:33 shows speed is not all down to the car/setup, this boy has talent, no doubt about it. Will be rootin for ya at Donny in May and Mallory in July (if you’re still in one piece by then).
Thanks fella, but unfortunately the car won't be done by May I suspect, and I'm not racing it inn the 750mc hot hatch championship as they've altered the rules a bit. Possibly moving into the roadsports with 750 and thunder saloons with the ctcrc.
