As someone that has been researching guitars (and this channel! 💙) for the perfect Strat or S-style guitar with bright cool colors, preferably one pick up Ila, Tom Delonge, and possibly modify to what I want, I am so insanely happy for this news!
In the last few years the big names have managed to increase the quality of their entry level guitars a lot. A good example is the Les Paul Special being so good for a $200-$300 guitar that even experienced professional players were buying them as "beater" guitars to throw around.

These are amazing guitars to mod. My buddy gifted me his old 25th anniversary one and ive modded it to be killer. Needs a new 5 way switch though. The current has problems when switching pickups and it will just stop working
I just got the green hss one for 159 at GC. And WOW! I got it to hack up and mod, but holy hanna these things play great. And the saddles are actually set properly. Impressive.
Just picked up the starter set today 7/30/24 from my local Guitar Center, $364 with tax and 2 yr insurance. Was cheaper than buying any guitar and amp there separately they had. Lowest I could have gotten that way would have been $500+.
Now I’ve got to decide between a classic vibe 50s or this!!! I have the pink bronco and I love the way it sounds and looks, and those matching guitars are a fender staple
I’m not saying the sonic guitars are bad because I haven’t tried one but please get a classic vibe from what I’ve heard and experienced they are a lot better
@@-VaileI have a squier affinity strat and bought a classic vibe strat, didnt like it and returned it after 3 weeks, they are very different guitars imo, the necks very much so!
I want the sss ht in Torino red, have to find a way of justifying it because I already have 2 SSS strats lol. May have to pull the “but this has ceramic pickups, all mine have alnico. A whole guitar is cheaper than buying a new set of SSS pickups” lol
Just bought the Strat in Tahitian Coral. Main complaint was the neck, but my main guitar is an Epi Les Paul Classic, so may just take getting used to the different neck profile. Bought it as a never ending mod platform(basically to test pickups destined for custom guitars I build from scratch…not exact, but will at least know if I like the pickup) and travel guitar.
Hi I’m new to guitars and got my 1st one Harley Benton tele,thing is I’m finding it hard to play as don’t seem to much space in strings for me to play,thing is I was advised to look at the squire strat,looking for hss set up,I’m looking at either the bullet of the effinty,or the sonic I’d just like abit of space between strings is there also any difference between affinity or the bullet?or are they vertically the same any advice is appreciated

id say affinity are better, but theyre both mass produced (meaning you would have to test one before buying) or order one and if its not perfect return and reorder
@@davidkastin4240 It is great just a lil bit of cheaper ground wire soldering issue other than that for the price I believe it's unbelievable that price is right a few sharp fret ends but all that took about a hour counting the string height adjustments plays wonderful now always liked a good Squier for the money they will surprise ya I had to have the first edition of the Sonic and love the Affinity Rock On 💯

Can someone tell me the bridge's width facing the pickguard, where the six screws are? The standard American Fender Stratocaster Is 73/74 mm and I would like to replace the pickguard with a pre-wired one. Thank you in advance
is the single coil worth it?? as a beginner and a lefty, my two selections for this price range is to go single coil on the sonic strat shown in the video, or to go with the yamaha pacifica 112JL which doesn't sound as clean as this guitar in my opinion but has an HSS setup. any help would be nice🙃
/23 Sonic is not an important over the /22 Bullet strat imho (I own both). The fretwork on the Sonic is marginally better, but the neck feels like a basketball bat. I prefer the neck profile of the Bullet WAY better.

Squier is part of Fender. The Fender name is reserved for their high-end stuff. Anything below a certain price point carries the Squier name instead of Fender
@@Bikingmad my mistake. I'm so used to the Squier name that my head just goes straight there. I'm a bass player anyway. I just watch these vids to watch Dagan play.
Nice but not going to be that easy to mod with a thin body - if the cavity is shallow then pickups, pots and the 5-way switch could be a problem like it is/was on the Squier Affinity series Strats!
I put all those good things in my Affinity Strat with no issue at all. If you replace the bridge, you have to get a shallow one or it could stick out the back a little, but most pickups and electronics will fit an Affinity just fine.
I'm putting money aside for the first electric at the moment and honestly it looks spot on for me!

It’s a great guitar for the price. Plus when you start getting better and want to change your tone you can mod it

Why do these sound so good. I'm confused how a 200 dollars sounds so good for 200.

Did you try cleaning the switch with electric contact cleaner? Home Depot sells it now about $9 a can that will last for yrs.

go with Pacifica HSS. It's better than Squier especially for beginners plus the HSS is the best config in my opinion in any strat.

No, it's replacing the bullet, which is a lower level than the Affinity.
Go play both and decide for yourself. I had both an Affinity Tele and a Bullet Tele. I gave away the garbage Affinity and love the Bullet.
