Band BIO:
Reveille was an American nu metal band from Harvard, Chelmsford, and Shirley, Massachusetts. The band formed in 1998 and recorded a six-track demo that attracted the attention of major labels. After a standout performance at the famous CBGB in Manhattan, New York the band signed with Elektra Records. They gained nationwide exposure with their debut album, Laced, in 1999. The album featured a guest appearance by Cypress Hill rapper B-Real. The band played Warped Tour 1999, Woodstock 1999, and Ozzfest 2000, and toured with Godsmack, Machine Head, and Powerman 5000.
FUN FACTS about band:
- In October 20, 2008 it was announced that Reveille would be reuniting for one night in Worcester, Massachusetts for a show dubbed "Reveille Reborn"
- Singer Drew Simollardes claimed Reveille had been pressured to make more accessible radio-oriented music by the label, stating "Our biggest problem was always battling with people at the label.
- Reveille's follow-up album, Bleed the Sky was released in 2001. The album featured appearances from Taproot singer Stephen Richards and Cold singer Scooter Ward.

Such an underrated band, they were only kids when they released their first album Laced, I think the vocalist was only like 17 at the time I think. You can tell they were influenced by Rage Against The Machine and early Deftones.

Saw them Live on the Laced Album tour in a small venue, they were fucking sick live. Mosh fest. You should check out the Laced Album

You got to check out like everyone else said laced that album will set you off man I followed them on tour for quite a while from 99 to 2001 it was something you had to see live it wasn't just a little tiny Mosh pit the whole show was just giant mosh pit hands down mind blowing

Nearly 20 years ago, I remember myself feeling so cozy in my little nutshell, as hardly anyone from my peers listened to my kind of music. Then we had an exchange program with Hungarians. The best bus ride of my life, listening to the tapes in my walkman, random Reveille songs, Incubus` Fungus Amongus and S.C.I.E.N.C.E., and some Ultraspank songs. So much fun to play along in my basement...good times
You guys should listen to the first three tracks, brutal.
Reveille was so underrated. Saw them in concert, had all their albums, they were incredible. No idea why the didn't blow up.

Seen them at a local radio show. They played after staind. Awesome show. This was back in maybe winter 98 possibly early 99
I watched them start to Blow up. I was pissed when they split. I believe it was bad Contracts by the Industry that did it.
I grew up not living far from Harvard, MA where the band was from, my cousin lived on the same street as the lead singer. One of my favorite nu-metal bands for the time, I remember putting this album on when I was home alone at once and just having a blast jamming this in my house as loud as I could haha. I'm so glad I got to see them here in Worcester, MA for their final concert. I also took guitar lessons from the guitarist Greg.
I am French I know ( réveille ) lol i bought the cd in 2000 😲. even Americans don't know. we play ? listen to French metal 40 years of metal. reuno the singer has a big voice the group is lofofora.
One of the best nu metal bands, do their song unborn next. A lot of nu metal bands had better harsh vocals than today's bands (metalcore etc) because it was more natural and raw, screams now are only done to add musical effect like an instrument

Yea like Buchmeler said, didn't last long, but they were a one of the lowkey talented nu-metal bands when it was just starting to get big, around the time of Korn, Slipknot, Sevendust all getting big

Laced was fully goated for that style. Bleed the Sky was phenomenal too except for What You Got which was prob the label pleasing Bizkit track.

The first half was giving me sort of slightly cleaner Deftones vibes and then it sort of went more RATM but still with some Deftones feel to it. Not sure what to think. You know I love nu metal. And this wasn’t bad. Somehow it just didn’t really stand out to me. Like the most memorable thing about it was the frustration from the long build up teasing lol
