Great to see some love for Be Here Now. I feel like people don't understand what the record is trying to achieve. So much swagger and so much hope - dyou know what i mean is one of my favourites too.
Exactly, it's such an epic album, and D'You Know What I Mean is the ultimate anthem

It was a very ambitious album in terms of length and guitar playing, personally it’s my favourite oasis album for those reasons, glad to see it got the recognition it deserves on this list!
Totally agree with your take on SOTSOG it did herald a new direction for the Oasis sound which they then carried forward on all their subsequent records, great channel man!

I'm a huge Oasis fan also. Growing up in the U.K. in the 90's, they were a huge part of my growing up!
What I love about their discography is that every single person I know, ranks them all in a different order.
I made a video a few months ago, ranking their albums, and I rambled so much, that the video was over an hour long.

Someone once told me Morning glory is the best album ever made however Definitely Maybe is Oasis best album. Now I’m older I understand that quote haha

5:00 damn. Falling Down is a great Oasis and Noel song. Its probably one of my favorite songs of all time, let alone Oasis songs.
I am not a huge fan of Dig Out Your Soul, but the 3 songs that are essential from this album are The Shock of the Lightning, I'm Outta Time and Falling Down
Fav song on for me is def Bag It Up

17:10 I see North Americans really like the more rock-oriented style of Oasis.
Be Here Now has grown on me in recent times. D'You Know What I Mean? Stand By Me, My Big Mouth, All Around the World are great songs. But the two biggest surprises for me are the song Be Here Now and Its Getting Better Man, the instrumentations on those songs are perfect.
I just wish they made a remix of Fade In/Out like they performed in G-Mex and let Noel sing Dont Go Away.

Can't believe you don't rate Falling Down... it's a stunning track. In the case of Dig Out Your Soul, I really like it, some of their most interesting work (for my money, one of their best albums that just falls short of being perfect because of the tracklisting). I always listen to it as the following tracklisting:

20:13 problem is Oasis never really intended to be a punk-rock band. Thata why I think there is a misconnect with the North American audience because they shied away from the punk rock style to a much more alternative style
Another 10 years and Be Here Now might slip even further ... its a hot mess.
It was always my fav Oasis album growing up but its definitely slipping as I get older. Still a classic tho
I am glad you have Dig Out Your Soul at the bottom. It is really poor. As you say, decent first half but that second half is rough.
Yeah the second half features some of the worst Oasis songs, a shame Boy With The Blues and I Believe In All weren't on the proper tracklist
Stopped watching after seeing dig out your soul come last
