The Lakes isn't a long course and is very scorable if you plot your way around. Holes like 4, 6, 17, no need to go for the green. On the 6th par 3, knock it down to where you took the drop shot from. 17 and 4, play for the front of the green. All about course management. Keep grafting, it will happen.

That's my home course and the lakes is very challenging but just stick with it and your soon learn the course management and your be fine
