- I show how to use a clamp meter and then take measurements in a test circuit I built.
Link to my video on the battery power pack I used in this video:

The clamp goes around the wire. It doesn't actually clamp it.
Thank you for the information. Hope you are doing well.
U must put the live wire into the centre of the clamps not between tips
Dont know if you caught it afterwards, but your leads should just have insulated covers on them that only leave the tips exposed. It's supposedly for added safety in higher voltage applications.
You can pull off the end on the lead wire to expose more of the prong I have the same tester
Love the sheet metal tin snips attempt to open the cursed packaging! Totally been there…
I thought I was gonna learn how to read voltage with an amp clamp lol my mind was gonna be blown! Either way solid video!
Too funny - that'll be a future video ! Glad you think the video was solid :)
Mines let's me read voltage
take the caps off the leads they'll look the same as your other set.
I don't know about your leads but in mine there're some caps that come off and it will help you to measure with a longer "prongs" (I'm not sure about the name in english, sorry)
are you Daniel von Bargen?
$50 Canadian, wow. I bought one at Princess auto for like 17.99.. Just as good.
I'm 2 years late but, some useful info although spoiled when you literally 'clamped' the conductor, Good effort though👍
You're not using the amp clamp correctly.. but okay
if only youtube dislikes were enabled, I’d have been able to figure this out without having to check the comment section.
The cable should be in the loop and NOT on the clamp like it is shown in the video , the reading will not be accurate.
If you put the two conductor cable the reading will be 0 as both will be running the same amperage and the device measures the difference.. that is my understanding

I thought the wire was supposed to be inside the loop of the clamp meter and not clamped onto the physical wire. This is the first time I have seen a wire being pinched by the meter. Am I wrong?
Tin snips. Take that annoying package.
