I recommend setting it higher than 30 seconds. 2 minutes is usually good for me so i can capture entire sequences or a small story, and cutting it down is very easy if its only a few seconds
@@june5877the point is, he's done this for years. The man has figured out how to stream using OBS and learned how to record a video such as this using it as well. He's opened the program 100s, if not 1000s of times and never bothered to even skim through it to notice it had this feature.

scott you can also set up a thing where theres markers on the twitch vods so you can just hit a button and then when you look at the vod you can just skip to where you put the markers for clips
You can also just do this with your GPU if it's Nvidia, shadowplay or nvidia play, whatever theyre calling it these days you push a button/button combo and it saves anything from the last 30 seconds to 60 minutes
Even the new steam beta can do this too. Where you can save the last 2+hours and even put pins to where cool moments are to return later and clip them.

OBS replay is a lot better than shadowplay imo, it uses a little more proccessing power but you can fine tune a lot more settings with obs (and if hes already got it set up for streaming then its even better) plus being able to have more than 2 audio tracks is really nice for OBS, shadowplay is a great fallback when i dont feel like having OBS open for just playing something random though
