You come across as a very honest guy and take pride in what you sell. I wish you all best Matt, and many successful years.
I’d buy a car from him. I was looking at that Skoda Monte but I was talked into buying a new car by the hubby and so ended up buying a Dacia stepway extreme and am now poorer 😂😢
I'm 78, and I've warmed to you over many months because it has become increasingly obvious that you're so damned HONEST. You've also made me appreciate post-2000 cars, which is quite an achievement because I'm psychologically stuck in 1980s Series 3 Daimlers/Jaguars, of which I've had a few. My present car is a 2001 Opel Astra, which I bought for £300 6 years ago and which has been incredibly reliable. The 1.6 litre engine still growls like new, and I've done 60,000 miles in it. Yes, I do around 10,000 miles per annum. Only had one major interior thing go wrong - it needed a new water pump last year. Otherwise just the usual wear and tear - new exhaust bits, new tires, new windscreen wipers/motor, little nuts and bolts that get worn and need replacing for MOTs. Never anything too expensive. Thanks for the forecourt and showroom tour. I'm down south but if I was younger and needed another motor I'd certainly think it was worth travelling up to your premises to buy a car, with the certainty that I'm getting a really good, sound, honest deal.
This is why I would not hesitate to buy a car from you Matt. So refreshing in this day and age that someone prepares the cars to the level you do and is completely transparent. Also I do hate you as now I really want the Lexus, I don’t need it, I just want it. Very cool rare car.
That’s the reason I wanted to keep it. It’s just really rare
2jz.... and shooting brake,
@@HighPeakAutos
@@MrFlyingguy Exactly
Trust and reputation in the second hand car trade usually don't go hand in hand - except in this case. I second your statement, next car I buy, High Peak Autos will be my "port of call".
Likewise. I've always liked these first gen IS estates. More interesting than the newer models. But don't need a new car right now. I'm sure you'll find a buyer for that pretty soon though
It could be that Range Rovers are getting stolen by the bucket load, Matt. And they're really expensive to insure, in London, practically impossible.
Another channel recently had a quote of £25k to insure an L405 PHEV 😮😮
And another channel showed what happens when you put some safe mid 40’s driver details (but with a London postcode) in to one of the large Meercat type comparison sites. We are unable to quote.
I live in Exmoor, Somerset and my 07 TDV8 costs me £369 to insure fully comp for the year .
@@OldskoolCatflap But without knowing exactly who the quote was for, and whether he or she had points on their licence or previous convictions, it's difficult to believe some of the stories.....
@@Brian-om2hh Not really, when you consider the sheer amount that are currently being stolen.
Always love a garage tour, interesting to see what you've got in stock 👍🏼
3am in the morning here in the Philippines, and here I am watching motors.....no SNOW.....hehehe
Haha very good
Your missing out 😂
You can have my share of it mate, was always into bikes, there's nothing quite like coming home after a "spurt" on a dry cold winters day and not being able to unbend yer fingers for half an hour!!!@@simoncowley4966
Matt is a true gentleman - polite and honest, always looking sharp! If I lived in the UK I wouldn't even think about going to someone else to buy a car from.
By the way, car prices in UK are so friendly, that Golf 6 GTI would easily cost around 12K$ here in Ukraine 🙄.
Thanks for watching, very kind. 🇺🇦
All second hand cars in UK are much cheaper than anywhere in Europe, wish I could buy me a car in Romania for when I'm going in holiday for the money I would pay in UK😬
never understood why UK cars are cheaper than rest of Europe. You'd think they'd be more expensive since right hand drive is a smaller market
found an answer
1. On the continent (all Left Hand Drive), many used cars are exported to countries in Eastern Europe. There is a huge market for used LHD cars, and the U.K. And Ireland are simply not a part of it. As a result, there are many used RHD cars on the market and not enough buyers. That drives prices down.
2. The high cost of car insurance in Britain prices most of the people who might be buying used ‘bangers’ out of the car market. Leading to a lack of people to buy the old, cheap cars while leaving the people who can afford both car insurance and new cars still buying new cars.
3. Until a few years ago British vehicle number plates had a letter signifying the year the car was first registered. Snobbery about having the latest letter was rife. British people value cars by number plates and badges primarily.
4. new cars are discounted so heavily that effectively dealers give them away at cost, in order to achieve volume bonuses.
Damn, UK sounds nice 😄
@@keponen331 you still do have the year on the number plate, only it's a slightly odd system. AB19XYZ, obviously that's 2019, but AB69XYZ is the second half of 2019. We'd run out of numbers otherwise, I guess
Keep it up Matt, long-time fan. I have the identical A8 in Black with the Nutmeg interior, but mine is the LWB version. The driving experience is truly beautiful-soft, smooth, and impressively isolated, even on our less than ideal roads.
I’m really impressed with it
How’s parking in the LWB ?
@@vercetti8670 At least here in the US, all cars are LWB and have rear wheel steering so parking isn't all too difficult. It takes a bit of getting used to but the visibility is good and there are plenty of sensors and cameras
@@joespittle1 The LWB version would be so hard to use in the UK. Our roads are just not built for it especially everyday trips etc
@@joespittle1 that’s great!
Another great video, Matt. The care and attention that you show these vehicles are a credit to the industry, which helps people to buy with confidence from you. Keep up the good work!
Excellent Video Matt - you have a fantastic range of stock and hopefully with your video your showroom and forecourt is now shared nationwide. I've always bought new cars but with your influence I'm starting to change my mind!
Love how honest you are, clearly OCD which is great thing to have as a seller, buyers know how you like things properly done, great vid as always 👍🏻
Great video matt and some lovely stock i wouldn't hesitate or haggle buying a car off you you always go the extra mile trying your best to have a car as good as it can be hats off to you matt why cant all car dealers be like you honest and fair 👍
Uphill runs in that Megane would be power-sappingly mundane. Not my words, the words of Top Gear magazine
...while overtaking National Express coaches can become a long, drawn-out affair.
With a mere ninety break-horse-power available, progress is too leisurely to be called fast
I knew someone else would remember it 😂😂😂
@@HighHoeKermit Not as long and drawn out as actually travelling on a National Express coach though....
@@Brian-om2hh I guess that must be true 😆
Romiley Garage, some great stock with a genuine owner now that is rare, well done Matt and keep up the amazing work.👍
Matt, you come across a decent genuine guy. I hope you have success with your stock. Best wishes from Ireland 😊
Great variety of stock there Matt, always love a walk around your showroom.
Hey Matt, I was recently in around stockport and actually drove past the garage! Was unfortunately closed as Sunday haha, great video btw!
i probably started watching you when you were at 30k subs. and I can definitely say that apart from sporting a better haircut, personal garage and wealth, you are exactly the same bloke I enjoyed watching and listening to a few years ago. Life affirming videos.
I appreciate that!
Really enjoyed that. You seem so up front and thorough with all your cars which is reassuring.
It’s an amazing smorgasbord of stock. It shows….your caring side. 😂Towards that Golf. Your…love of a rare classic. That Lexus. Your optimism. I could mention a couple, but I choose not to. But above all, it shows how honest you are Matt. As do, the CZcams ‘leads’. We all love your….uniqueness 😂
I have a 2021 soul EV and honestly it’s one of the best cars I’ve ever owned. Comfortable, speedy and well equipped.
Nice stock and as I've said before, you can't beat a fully prepared vehicle when you're trying to sell it.
It always used to surprise me when i had a nice car that should have sold be just got ignored for no known reason. I would often swap it with another dealer, not too far away, with one of their long-termers and both cars would usually sell really quickly. I have no idea why !
You don`t need any gimmicks Matt, Your honesty is your selling point. Have a merry Christmas.
Hi Matt. You genuinely seem to take such care in preparing your cars for sale, and that’s really good to see. I live down on the Isle Of Wight, but would happily travel to buy a car off of someone like yourself.
A very good and sensible stock of cars ! Can’t be too proud these days stocking cars that cost a fortune…and your forecourt is just that in so catering for all needs and financial situations ! Also anyone buying from yourselves is guaranteed a very good genuine motor considering all the work you put into each one even if they don’t need it !! Attention to detail i think is very important and you Matt definitely go that extra bit to guarantee this for potential buyers….so many second hand car dealers out there selling complete sheds and misleading people ! Any way I’m off otherwise I’ll still be here in the mor😂
I keep watching your videos Matt and checking your stock almost daily with a hope that you get a car I would like so I can come down with my Honda Accord that I've sent you an email about and we can make a deal as I find your honest and genuine !! Keep up the great work mate.
Great Garage tour Matt. I had an uncle who was a car mechanic, and when I was looking to buy my first car, one nugget I took from him was, if an independent car deal won't have it on their forecourt...then generally don't buy it. Then spent time just looking what were on the forecourts. Time well spent I think.
Was wondering when you were going to do another garage tour .
Some great stock & I love the fact that you know so much about them from memory, keep up the good work Matt 👍🏼
Really enjoy your stock tours Matt. Some great motors in there too. I’ve spotted a few good ones.
Thanks 👍
20:36 I recently just got a 2013 Kia Rio in blue and it was probably the best choice I think I’ve made when getting a second hand car. In my opinion I think the steering is a bit vague and not as good as a Fiesta from the same era but the rest of the car outshines the Fiesta in every other way possible I highly recommend to anyone looking for a second hand car to consider a Rio
I love your channel mat I live a very long way from you but would not hesitate to travel to you and buy with confidence…your a very rare breed a very honest man who loves cars with a passion and like myself take pride in getting things right…well done Mat I look forward to each and every program
Well done that man. Living the dream that most of us watching have. Nothing but best wishes.
Great video Matt stock update and to say your going to make a loss potentially on a couple of cars . Honest genuine content 👌
Such a brilliant video. I like that you're professional but not too serious. It takes a lot to have your own business and manage it so well for SO LONG. I would've rage quit after a few weeks. I hope you have a nice start of this week, take care Matt 🥰
I appreciate that!
@HighPeakAutos who would you recommend for any golf r issues. Based in Ashton
I thoroughly enjoyed this video . well done . mate.ive binge watched about a years worth love your presentation style brilliant stuff.
Great video as always I've been watching you since the beginning it's amazing how big the channel has got 👍
You've got a good range of cars Matt
Definitely keep that Audi for yourself Matt. Beautiful, especially with the tobacco leather 😍
Followed your channel for quite a while most enjoyable......I find that you give a very good review on the cars you purchase..Nothing hidden upon what wants rectifying prior to selling.. 👍
Enjoyed every second of that! Nice to have a stroll into your garage. Really like the rare Lexus estate, watched the video on that one. The choice for a daily use car would be the Honda Jazz or VW UP!
All the best of luck wished for the future Matt, you're a genuine nice person!
The Panda looks mint. They are brilliant cars.
That Audi A8 is a keeper 💯
Honest and likable guy and that's what we want when buying a car
Really enjoyed that tour round Matt. some really super cars there !
Thanks for sharing your current stock. The problem you described on the quashqai at 24:30 was similar to a problem I had on my Audi 2.0 CAGA diesel. Hunted revs at idle. Turned out to be a fuel rail pressure sensor that needed changing. Appreciate this is a completely different brand but thought I’d pass on.
Something different today Matt. Made my evening as always. Cheers 👍🏼
Glad to hear it!
Thanks Matt. Have been watching for years now and at the risk of repeating myself, you are my "go to' on CZcams. I have worked overseas for +20 years now but will retire to the UK soon and when I do I will be visiting you for my next motor, because you are the rair man in the business, an honest salesman who offers great service and are complete honesty in what you do. By the way, I am drooling over that A8 you just got in!
Wow, thanks!
Great videos, superb presenting style. Informative and very entertaining. Keep the content coming.
love these type of videos man, keep them up :)
Thanks, will do!
That Ford Ranger is literally my dream car 😍 but unfortunately being 24 and only having passed a year and a half ago, the insurance on that thing would end me 😂, some lovely cars there! My little Ford Fiesta is starting to rip my pockets open keeping her alive, sadly be time to see her go soon I think☹️!
Love these Garage tours! You’ve got some nice stock in Matt 😍
Happy Christmas!! Love your videos! It's great to see that a used car salesman really promotes quality products!! Car salesmen are so often seen as crooked, but you demonstrate the best of the lot. I hope to soon be a resident of the UK, I shall look into your services for a decent vehicle for my needs!! Big hugs from Kenny Ohio USA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Great and interesting video as always Matt. I recon you should get the forecourt/walls pressure washed mate. As a general punter that sort of thing can make a big difference and make everything look better.
Agree, a fresh coat of paint never goes a miss also! I'm guessing a lot of Matt's sales are generated online so it may seem a bit of a punt throwing money into the lot, I think he has touched on this in previous video iirc?
Great video as always Matt👍 I’m as confused as you are about that Fabia. I valeted and sold my brothers to a dealer back in the Summer (very similar to the one in your video) and it sold within 5 days.
Maybe it's the stripe? It is an odd one though.
Stripe makes it look like a boy racer car.
@@Matt-go7ssyeah I suppose. The one I sold was just white with a contrasting black roof. Still, you’d expect someone to like a white fabia with a bit of a unique red stripe?
Enjoyed that.
The most important thing I’ve learned from watching your videos, I think, is the importance of taking car of the little things.
I bought my current car, a 2012 Audi S3, about 2.5 years ago. It came from a trusted source, only covered 49,000 miles, FSH. The day after I took it, it started misfiring and needed an injector. I was nervous for a while, but it’s been brilliant since. I’ve looked after it, aiming to carry out preventative maintenance regularly. I’ve changed the oil every 5000, full services every other, serviced the gearbox and diff, changed the pick up pipe, changed plugs and coils etc. Soon will be timing belt/chain. However, I’ve never dealt with the head unit that won’t allow me to play CDs or use sat nav, never dealt with a tiny dent on the boot, and a tiny patch of rust near the rear o/s window, never dealt with the annoying scratchy wipers - well actually I did change the blades and I’ve never dealt with the drivers heated seat that doesn’t work, so when it’s cold, I have to drive from the passenger seat, which is annoying, especially if I have a passenger in the drivers seat.
I love cars.
Cheers Matt.
I'm 57, passed my test at the age of 19 first time. I still approach some junctions and roundabouts with worn out or confusing markings basically just guessing - follow the car in front.
No shame in getting caught out in a confusing junction. Keep going girl.😉
WOW Matt you really made me laugh at the end of this video! Went into detail about every car and then the final car (Nissan Juke) was ".....and one of those"! hahaha You and me have the same mind about those! 😂😂😂😂
Your more expensive cars aren't selling because you specialise in 'bread and butter' cars. People who want a higher value or specialist car tend to go to specialists if they can't afford or don't want a new car.
That’s not the case
@@HighPeakAutos If you are so sure, why haven't you resolved whatever the issue is and sold the cars?
@@resnonverba137 I sell my fair share of all kinds at all price points. Certain cars just stick. Theres nothing more to it than that
@@HighPeakAutos Yes, and for different reasons. I'm referring specifically to your higher value cars and have suggested a viable reason from my own experience and indeed common sense. It concerns me not one jot whether you sell the cars or not but it should concern you.
@@resnonverba137 I suppose with these videos I discuss the ones which I’ve had for a while which you can see. What you cannot see are the ones I’ve sold.
Great Showroom Tour and Forecourt Tour Bud 👍👍Some lovely looking cars at a good price 👍👍Always a interesting and detailed watch 😀😀
Such an honest car dealer, if everyone was like you it would be a better world
You are always talking about "being inconspicuous". Why? What do you care what people think you look like when you are ENJOYING YOUR CAR? Life is short brother so, live the best "you life" you can...
Agreed, and life really is short. But sadly people are extremely judgemental and treat you differently depending on the car you drive, both on the road and when it's parked up. Speak from experience, unfortunately.
Along with the treatment, you don’t want to become targets for car thieves. Just a headache overall. Sad reality of uk.
Nah I’d agree with him. As a young lad I probably wouldn’t have minded something a bit out there and eye catching. Now I want a nice motor that flies under the radar.
He's British. We don't like showing off, or vulgar displays of wealth.....some of us.
@@bindefuni5407so true. Sad. And very true
Love your honesty and lovely variety of nice motors. Love the Canada Goose too 😂.
Nice tour of the garage 👍🏼 I need to come past for a look around - cheers, from George in Scotland
Amazing video. Love to watch these. You should do these like every other month to update us on the stock
I really enjoy your videos, especially the garage tours. It’s got to be a pain moving all those cars around on such a small forecourt.
Really enjoyed your garage tour today and I must say you do present your used care to a very high standard. Not always easy to please everyone with the stock you have but “somewhere” there is a buyer for every car. But in your car the buyers are not looking in you showroom . Good luck for your future sales (December is not the best month) in 2024.
Great enjoyable tour. Thanks!
Interesting to see your stock again Matt, some really nice stuff👍
Not sure about Titanic reference opening up,,, more like intro to Porridge - HMP Slade 😂😂😂
Top vid👌👌👌
Been a subscriber for abit and your the only used car dealer I'd ever buy a car from .
Thank you Matt, another well-informed video, thanks for taking the time and trouble editing and uploading. When I was working (years ago), I was told by a US-based trainer that if stuff doesn't sell within your allotted time-frame, there are only three reasons for it - 1. Nobody wants your product. 2. Your advertising sucks. 3. Price. Unfortunately, you can only control two out of the three! You figure it out!
You have some great stock thanks for the tour and hope you get some good profit sales. Thank you
A great open and honest workaround. love your videos and effort that you put into this channel. infact, i purchased a range rover sport off the back of your reviews.
looking forward to the Mat encyclopaedia of cars!! You nurd memory of cars is amazing!! Great video
wow your stock level is awesome
! great vid enjoyed the tour
Enjoyed that, keep up the good work. Nice stock.
Orange pick up and GTI my faves. Thank you for tour
Mint little cars Pandas. My mum's had a few, cracking things.
Loved the tour Matt, Love the stock you have, no wonder everybody buys a car from you :D
Really enjoyed this type of video walk around of the garage 👍👍👍
Thanks
I hope you see this mate as your Partridge references never go unnoticed 😂🤝🏻 Good vid. Lovely stuff.
Some lovely cars in stock Matt! 👍
love a garage tour......great selection of cars.....
Nice one Matt , got some nice stock there , i should pop down and buy a motor . Your channels doing great , you'll soon be at 0.5 million subs. Good quality videos .
Yes! I agree for review on the Touareg!
That low mileage Audi A3 struck a chord with me Matt, as I traded my 2015 low mileage (30k) Golf 1.4 Match in around 6 months back. Full service history, no kids, dogs or smoking. Clean as the proverbial whistle it was. It sat on the dealer's forecourt for Months, while other stuff around it sold no problem..... I think they eventually sent it to auction.....
Great vid. Love the Jag, drop dead looks that model !
Really enjoy your videos, when i change my car i will definitely come and see you
What I love about Hyundai Santa Fe is rear reclining angle seat, like no other car ,I believe. Passengers can have a sleep comfortably on a long journey
Great video really enjoyed it you have some great stock very varied.
Love the garage tours, that A8 is beautiful
I bought a Freelander 2 from this garage in September 22 , it’s a great car and I would buy another car from them in a heartbeat. I’m always checking their stock and I’m waiting for a nice Range Rover to come in stock especially the 4.4 V8 diesel
Excellent stuff Matt
Nice to see your stock, interesting as usual
Nice video like always Matt👍
Cant wait for next one.

Thanks 👍
Love my MK6 GTI, its a great comfy and fast daily, I save my C63s for the weekends when the sun is out.
Really enjoy your videos>>>>I think your a real decent sound guy>>>keep up the good work>>>✌️✌️✌️✌️
The jag xkr looks adorable and I love the color of Range Rover, both outside and inside. Good taste.
Great video. Quite a good collection of cars for reasonable prices. Watch on that roof of the space where you keep your most valuable cars, it might damage one. Have a great day Mat.
Good honest sales, liked those hate them. Great video of your stock Matt
Amazing work as always in presenting the cars Matt- especially the is300 sportcross. I currently own an is200 sedan and have lusted over one day buying the estate with the bigger engine for a while now- although this will probably never happen since my car continues to be a bastion for Toyota’s bulletproof reliability. The sub 20mpg is definitely worth it for the exhaust note and unicorn factor alone! Best wishes
