  • Haiti has been an independent black nation since the time of the Napoleonic Wars. Things are not altogether rosy there though, and an increasing number of people are turning to Voodoo to solve their problems.

The other big difference is this: the countries that were colonised by European nations, NOT just the UK, fought back against it whereas our political 'leaders' are now actively encouraging this replacement. So, in reality, there is no comparison whatsoever.

I think you are upset because some black person robbed an innocent old lady or because many illiterate desperate migrants have invaded your country and causing chaos. So part of me understands your frustration and developing racism.
I would urge you if you want to have a moral integrity and be different from say ISIS terrorists or Nazis, people who lost their way after failing to hold critical, rational views of other races desist from defining the black race from the bad behavior of individuals or struggles. If you have a notion of blacks from barbeque in Haiti or idiotic leaders in South Africa you will loose your way as an individual. Parts of the Middle East are EXACTLY like that, including Qatar and Dubai I believe still has a king as does Saudi Arabia. In Qatar you have to be from family WAY back to vote, not even another arab nation that migrated 30 years ago. It is the same in the french colony of New Caledonia and france recently decided if you were french and lived there 15+ years you could have voting rights and the place has EXPLODED into violence with french troops sent in and even the french president visiting. This is all playing out on Australian news. It looks like they might be on the oath to independence. I don't care if Australia has to get involved, just SO LONG as we don't end up with a bunch of refugees. But I would prefer we didn't. France's colony, frances problem.

The coral reefs off the coast of Haiti were barren due to overfishing and soil erosion washing down into the ocean. The erosion was caused by most of the trees and bushes being clear cut,. A humanitarian group came and planted thousands of tree saplings to try and stop the erosion of the soil. Within a very short time, all the trees had been pulled up and used for cooking fires.

This should solely be France’s responsibility. This unfortunately is no difference in cities like Chicago, New York and so forth.

Well, well, well! Not much "diversity" to be seen around those parts, eh?!
Let's have a quick look at some world history, through an educated, but non-expert lens:
    Pre-colonial Africa: primitive, violent.
Colonial Africa: more infrastructure, development and less violent.
Post-colonial Africa: decaying infrastructure, just as primitive in some parts, violent.
    Pre-colonial Caribbean: primitive, violent.
Colonial Caribbean: more infrastructure, development and less violent.
Post-colonial Caribbean: fractured or minimal infrastructure, tribal, violent.
What do we draw from this short and unscientific examination of pre- and post-colonialism, compared with the period where European powers were 'in charge'? I will not assert or claim anything.....that is up to the reader.

Have you seen the Canadian Pow-wow festivals? A bunch of war-cries and single note banging on drums for hours. Can't have anything Western culture. And colorful feathers. Pre-whiteman: lots awarring keeping the population low.
