- Thelma and an all-girl band boogie away in this Forties "soundie" (great little mover, that Thelma).
But appearances can be DECEIVING - Thelma HAD no band. She was an ACTRESS, who appeared in a number of Hollywood movies. However, the only one that is remembered today was a campy exploitation flick called "Tell Your Children".
This was found in a vault in 1972 and renamed "Reefer Madness" it became a huge cult hit, with audiences rolling in the aisles on both sides of The Pond.
Thelma, meanwhile had problems. A rare disease left her wheelchair-bound and killed her acting career. So she became an agent, representing among others James Coburn (dead) and Robert Blake (WISHES he were dead).
But despite her poor health, Thelma lived to a ripe old age - finally passing just six years ago, aged 94. RIP, Thelma. - Hudba
This fantastic clip makes me want to take tap-dancing all over again...Thank you ladies! If any of you are watching this clip that were in it; I love you all.
wow i live this! an all girl swing band!!!
The only movie I've ever seen her in was Reefer Madness (she was "Mae"), but apparently she'd done a bunch of movies in the '30s. Before that, she was part of an act in the teens and '20s called the White Sisters with Marjorie White (no relation), who costarred in the first 3 Stooges short.
@JubalCalif My pleasure! Happy New Year.
Yeahh!! I love it.

I know she is pleased with herself, but honestly I think like why? She is doing a jig going up and down stairs. Is she showing us a creative way to go up and down stairs? It is has been more of the same down stairs from here.
