- Sunday afternoon drive along the most scenic mountain pass in Brecon Beacons National Park in Wales United Kingdom. Black Mountain Road (or A4069) is popular drive among auto enthusiasts and was a filming location for the popular UK TV show Top Gear. Hope you all enjoy it! Highly recommend Wales in general, its a beautiful country! The drive starts in the small Welsh village of Cwm-twrch Isaf and ends in the village of Llangadog.

The Brecon Beacons National Park (Welsh: Parc Cenedlaethol Bannau Brycheiniog) is one of three national parks in Wales, and is centred on the Brecon Beacons range of hills in southern Wales. It includes the Black Mountain (Welsh: Y Mynydd Du) in the west, Fforest Fawr (translates as 'great forest') and the Brecon Beacons in the centre and the Black Mountains (Welsh: Y Mynydd Du or Mynyddoedd Duon) in the east.

@@SuperiorNo1 inlived in South Wales for 3years in the 80s. It's what I imagined 1970s Soviet union must have been like... grey, everyone miserable, terrible food, high unemployment & masses of alcohol. But the black Hills (they called them mountains. They're hills!) area was gorgeous.

Fab video, nice to see one that shows the local villages and the rural nature of the area. I live right on this road and have enjoyed the Black Mountain Pass in everything from a diesel Fiesta to a Porsche 911.. shame our Beloved Masters have seen fit to install 40MPH average cameras there !

You passed the house I'm currently staying at! I had planned to do some hikes around the Brecons but it's forcast to rain constantly until Friday when we leave so we're going to go for a driver around them instead 😂
Word of advice, when you get to the roundabout at 12:35 do t make a wrong turn and go left instead of right 🙈 You will end up down single lane country roads with little to no pull ins and end up getting stuck in the mud and having to be rescued by a farmer about an hour into the drive on the top of a feckin mountain with no signal 😂😂😂😂 What an adventure! Haha

hey sb! thanks for suggesting. id really love to but the complexity and cost of filming in 360 makes it nearly impossible to make money without it being behind some sort of paywall. if there were some way i could charge to help cover the costs, i would. let me know if you know of any platforms that do this??

Being from Wales and living on the edge of the brecon beacons I thought let's see where this is... to my surprise roughly 1 minute in where your at the roundabout is where I grew up, lower cwmtwrch 😄. I love where I live but don't appreciate it

Very Slow Drive 🥱
Most of this drive looks like it’s a 40mph speed limit, which is really low for this kind of road in the UK, but there’s not much the driver can do about that. Around where I live similar roads are mostly national speed limit (60) except through villages 🙂
