  • I have been c420 sailing for a very long time. Club 420 racing and club 420 rigging can be daunting for beginners. Dinghy sailing, and 420 sailing in particular pose a slew of challenges big and small. I make videos covering sail racing topics like sailingshack. Sometimes I take on sailing Florida, boating in many a c420 championship. I have had great success in 420 Velas, but one yachting event I have never done is the c420 midwinter championship out of the US Sailing Center Marin County. Other than sailing, I also do travel vlogs, sailing boats around the country and world. Hope you enjoy this sailing tutorial.

My name is Micky Munns, and I am campaigning for the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris in the 470 class sailboat. I am an adventurer, California native, and currently in college at Boston University. My sport lets me travel the world and compete against the best athletes. While there are many setbacks, I love sailing and the water! I have to focus on fitness, diet, health, and training. Some of my most watched channels on CZcams include David Laid, Anthony Mantello, Mozzy Sails, Soosh, and Greg Doucette. I am similar to Mozzy Sails and SailGP but very different from the America's Cup, Sailing Doodles, Sailing La Vagabonde, and Sailing Uma. I am a racing sailboat channel. Follow my journey and watch me take on the world.

Finally somebody make an in depth video on rigging a 420. I'm on a Sailing 101 course and they just show you how its done. But they don't show you the best way. Now I know how to best rig my boat. Thank you.

Good tutorial. Nice to see someone explain setting the mast rake. My i420 came with a bunch of mast blocks that I imagine I'll use if the rake is way out

Hey Kevin, glad you like it! The mast chocks are used to regulate the mast bend and prevent excessive overland at the base. Please let me know if you'd like me to make a video!

Interesting jib halyard rig. We use a tensioner at the base.

cool but you definitely don't want to let of jib tension to go rake further back you should drop a half a pin down and still have about 29 tension

The thumping beat in the background is annoying.
