Matt is the Chainsmoker's drummer. This isn't a particularly good example of his insanity on the drums (although it certainly isn't bad). I would suggest his cover of "The Hills" by the Weeknd. I think the coolest thing about Matt is his kit layout. Two high hats, only one rack tom, and two seemingly identical floor toms, plus a bunch of cymbals. Gives his kit a really unique, almost electronic sound.
I would recommend you to check out his Old town road drum cover and Blackpink: How you like that cover. In these covers he flexes his amazing push pull technique and great double bass patters and those covers are totally improvised. !!
Took a while for me to get on board but I came around. Guy's good no doubt. I thought the kick was a bit over-played but whatever. Man's gotta play his style. I respect the talent.
