I'm a little late to the party here but I suggest Norway. Great video btw. I'm planning a biketour this summer and started training half a year in advance. The muscles are one thing but sitting in a saddle for hours is probably the thing people need to get used to the most.

@@alexanderh2715 well you can always buy a better saddle thats more comfortable I put on fat man saddles on all of our bikes wide and comfortable.

@@BillyButtry I have tested quite a few but did not find the perfect one yet. The most comfortable one broke after just 7 months. I don't enjoy big saddles either and it has always been an issue. At least now I have one that is fine for 2 hrs

There are two snacks i bring on every ride.. Walnuts and Dates.. Walnuts provide a healthy fat that satiates hunger. Dates have many minerals and a good source of medium glycemic index, long glycemic load. Snacking on these will provide energy and keep you going without the blood sugar rollor coaster of BG lows and spikes.

Your video had to be the most informative piece of information I have ever seen in regards to E-Bike packing. Thank you so much and be safe out there!

Hey Scott, that’s a great video mate 👍. I’ve been cycling and bike packing for 7 years and in the last 2 months bought an Electric Hybrid, which I love. I’ve thinking about a bike packing trip on the eBike and your video was awesome, full of practical ideas. I’m now actively planning for the first trip. Thank you 🙋‍♂️

Ian Brown hey Ian! Thanks so much for the great feedback. Really hoping to set up some guides to eBikepacking in the UK in the next year. Definitely grab a Riese & Muller superdelite or supercharger if you can. We’ll have some footage on them coming soon. Also releasing a video with the queen of eBike touring Suzanne Brüsch from Pedelec Adventures. Keep an eye out for it!

Nice tips! We used Ortlieb bags on our 6 month bikepacking trip and they held up beautifully. Wish we had used ebikes- we would have covered a lot more ground! The worst part of our non-ebike trip was the bugs- we were riding up the steep hills so slowly that the they could keep up and hover right in our faces lol.

Best YT video on this topic! Thanks. Nice summary of gear needed. I'm an experienced ultralight backpacker so I have all the camping gear I need. Please add info on camping gear to this video.
MY E-MTB-> E-CELLS Super MonarchCrown - 2 wheel drive, 2 batteries and dual suspension.(95 pounds!). But I need it for hunting to carry out the boned-out meat from elk, antelope or deer. As well I'll be using it for e-bike camping.

Hey Doug! You'll be fine going through streams. Just don't let the bike sit in the water. Passing through is just fine. You can see us getting the bikes pretty wet in this video: czcams.com/video/QWq2ffCoWng/video.html

But I use to tour many yrs ago but now I am 50 and have not toured in 30 yrs I have a total of 5 bikes to the wife rides a aerial rider 52v and a hey bike ranger and my trail bike. I am contemplating making a bike camper with solar to charge the bike using a jackery so when I get low stop and charge for a while.

Your right, that's why I bought a 300W folding solar panel. I get way more range than the little batteries this guy uses but you can never have too much access to recharge.
