Cape Lookout Lighthouse is located on the South Core Banks of Cape Lookout National Seashore and may be accessed via the Harker’s Island - Cape Lookout Passenger Ferry at the Harkers Island Visitor Center. This is a worthy day trip excursion if visiting the area.

    Love the horses and lighthouse. Ginger was born in Raleigh, but left as a baby. We’ve never been to Cape Lookout. Thanks for sharing.

      Me and my buddies family have been looking into Michaux SF. I'd be interested to know if there is any dispersed camping requiring 4wd. It's closer for them in The Thurmont MD area, I'm closer towards DC in the 'burbs.

      I haven't been back down to my Luray area property, truck issues. I still intend on reporting on any camp sites

      At the time mask wearing was mandatory at the national seashore indoors and during the boat ride to the island.
