The bit of advice that comes up most often it seems, is the bit about not making it like a checklist but instead, make it flow. This is the bit I am finding the hardest. Because yes, I can say a few words about each of the must haves, but the glue in between is whats hard.

I forgot to write my speech and had to make it up as I went along. It was ok. But I had a few drinks beforehand. Regret bringing up nascar racing and comparing it to my love for my new wife. I also accidentally farted when I chuckled and my arse was facing the mother in law. Embarrassing because it was wasn’t silent, but very deadly. 100% true story

get help from family. You do not need to do it by yourself
Use done for you speech outlines.
Practise in front of severl people and ask for tips and advice.
Well it's currently 4:04 in the morning and I can't sleep. I'm due to give my speech in roughly 10 hours and I thought "let's watch a video to help my speech" 😅 wish me luck I guess

Amazing just having the key points of the speech has helped me so much . Half hour ago I had no clue what I was going to say now I have 3 full pages of words and wow the memories just came rushing back I even shed a tear writing my own speech and gave more clarity and reason why I’m Marrying my best friend. This will be hard to hold back my tears of joy .

Great video! Now to commence the writing for the 4 hour comedy set / powerpoint presentation. In all seriousness though, there are some very helpful points which have me thinking of ideas so thanks! I just need to figure out how to deliver them coherently and not in my usual bumbling style. Two weeks to go to sort it...
