You didn’t do this for the money Steve. You did this for a deeper meaning. How many times did you think of your dad while do this project, I thought of mine while looking at this video. I think the plaque from YouTub came at the right time, you deserved it , congratulations Steve and I wish you many more awards ahead of you. 👍

There are many peer-reviewed studies you can look into. I have found within 30 days of supplementing, you will see a nearly complete reduction of shaking hands. The added bonuses include headache reduction and reduced muscle sorness.
If you find more metal components in leather; you can convert the rust (iron oxide) to iron tannate which won't rust with a comercially available rust converter. It will protect the leather from the corrosive rust.

When I first watched this, & he was talking about Saturday being the Dad's birthday, I assumed it was like the next Saturday, so he only had a week to get this done....but no, he had one day to work on this & complete it...that is impressive, & I don't impress easily (maybe I do, I don't know). I'm really much more impressed that Bedo agreed to drop everything & bang this out by it's crazy deadline, than I am that he completed in one day...that's some selflessness to make some folks happy, really going above & beyond the call of duty on this one - bravo!! He wasn't sharpening that pencil. He was honing the knife blade on the graphite! Steve is fussy about his disposable blades! :) Flight bags are funny. We all start out buying a career bag and look after it for the first 10 years. Then you start putting stickers on it for 10 years to gloat about what Boeing you fly, then they get parked in the basement for your kids to eventually throw out. Now, there are people who don't even carry one. They pull an ipad and their headset out of their suitcase. Technology has been good.

Congrats on your plaque and another great project. You are not crazy to resharpen your blades. I took French leather working courses and the cutting knife used in the courses was a clicker knife. Part of the initial instruction was how to sharpen your clicker knife blade with a file to be razor sharp. It's not just about being cheap or traditional, as I have a few razor knives in my tool box, but about economics and having tools on hand when you need them. Buying blades adds up, and if you run-out of sharp blades while in a project, maybe late at night or running up to a deadline, there is no time to pop out to get some more. Knowing how to touch up a blade is a good skill to practice and know. Same goes for having hand sewing skills, for when the machines can't do it. Thanks for sharing.

Then 5 years working at a place doing luggage repair and modification. And for the last 7 years working at an upholstery shop. I found the triggering scene really funny and can do you one better, I use a snap blade knife and resharpen it regularly; with sandpaper. I did however trigger when you used your steel french hammer on your steel punches. But I got over it, your hammer, your punches. Your shop. I will keep watching.

Its a Gladstone bag! At long last I get to see the master at work. Seeing your process working itself out. Wonderful work. Well deserved CZcams plaque . I've been wanting to see how the frame goes on....just as I suspected, hand sewn. I so want to make one of those. Lol. After my briefcase saga..... being a dressmaker, I don't do oblong and square shapes, I do curves . Drama queen #1 !!

We need a coffee hour vlog. Just a couple of guys sitting around shooting the breeze, drinking coffee. I'm facinated by your coffee routine. Perhaps I need one small cup of high octane coffee instead of 6, 20 oz. mugs per day.

I did a double loop lace job on a briefcase a littler smaller than that. Took a LONG time lol. One of my wife's family members originally made it a couple decades ago so it was a fun and meaningful job!

True craftsmanship is something that is very rare in today's time. But when you come across it, and the craftsman himself, it's almost like receiving a sermon in life. The important things in what we do and the spirit of how we do it. Loved the video! Thank you!

Of all the hours that I've spent watching your amazing videos, this is by far my favorite show! Absolutely a gorgeous piece of work! And Chris's response was great. Thanks so much for bringing us along, and a big CONGRATS on the 100K CZcams award! One of these days it would be so cool to see you re-dye and Big 4 your shop apron! 😀 Thanks again, Steve, for all the enjoyment you give us...

Hi Steve,I used to watch your videos time to time. You know, there is a proverb"People can look at three things without being bored, fire, water and how someone else is working".
This is how I explained myself the reason why I like to watch your videos....until I saw flag out of your window. So that was another reason to watch, which never crossed my mind before.
You do great job Steve, best of luck to you.
    And congratulations on 100000 subscription.

Really appreciated hearing that navigator's story. I know full well how things have transitioned from the leather flight bag to the iPad. I spent 35 years in nautical charting with the feds. In that time we went from pen & ink map making to high tech digital charts with instantaneous updates. It was a fun period in history, one that I doubt my kids will ever experience in the same way.
