DUNBURY DELUSION / EL FIASCO DE DUNBURY (AFECTOS. 2004) Gabi Pareras

Gabi published his book "Afectos" in 2004 and that same year he lectured on this work at AMIC, the society of Catalan magicians. On that lecture he performed and analyzed the routines of that booklet, which despite being marvelous, were an excuse to explain and break down a thousand theoretical concepts. Gabi confessed that, despite his usual dissatisfaction, he was quite happy with how that lecture turned out, and fortunately, it was filmed on video. Shortly before his death, he proposed himself to update and reissue "Afectos", translating it into English and commercializing it along with the video of the lecture, to distribute it through the platform "The Milagro" by Mario López. In "Afectos" there are true gems of Card Magic and today we want to share with you “Dunbury Delusion”, recorded that night, which is the precursor of the "Dr. Coué Test", previously published on this channel. In the final version, he dispensed with more sophisticated techniques, simplifying it until he could no longer remove anything else. However, this version already features most of the dramatical elements of “Dr”. coue’s test”
Gabi publicó su libro “Afectos” en 2004 y ese mismo año impartió una conferencia sobre esta obra en el AMIC (Barcelona), la asociación de magos de Cataluña. Allí realizó y analizó los juegos de esas notas, los cuáles, pese a ser maravillosos, eran una excusa para explicar y desmenuzar mil conceptos teóricos. Gabi confesaba que, pese a su habitual insatisfacción, quedó muy contento por cómo quedó esa conferencia, la cuál, por fortuna, fue filmada en vídeo. Poco antes de fallecer, se propuso actualizar y reeditar “Afectos”, traduciéndolo al inglés y comercializándolo junto al vídeo de la charla, para distribuirse a través de la plataforma “The Milagro”, de Mario López. En “Afectos” hay verdaderas joyas de la Cartomagia y hoy hemos querido compartir con vosotros “El fiasco de Dunbury”, que es el precursor del test del Dr. Coué”, ya publicado en este canal. En la versión posterior prescindió de técnicas sofisticadas y se limitó a simplificarla hasta que ya no pudo quitar más. No obstante muchos elementos dramáticos ya estaban en la versión que hoy compartimos
