Amanda Antoni’s mysterious death was featured in the latest season of Unsolved Mysteries. The title of the episode is “Body in the Basement.” Amanda was found dead in a pool of blood in the basement of her Calgary home on October 26, 2015. Was it homicide or could it have been a freak accident? Police initially thought an intruder could have pushed her down the stairs or caused her to fall. After it was discovered there was a lack of DNA evidence or prints from someone other than Amanda, police are now theorizing she could have fallen down the stairs, striking her head on a piggy bank that sat on the stair’s ledge, and then due to the nasty wound to her head, she was too delirious to make it back up the stairs.
Her husband was cleared of involvement and no other suspects have been identified. Her husband was the last one to speak to her on Saturday and when he returned from a trip, he discovered her body on Monday. Police described it as the bloodiest scene they’d ever seen. Nevertheless, in December 2016, Calgary police ruled her death accidental as a result of a fall downstairs, despite evidence of violence.
The question we have today is was this a tragic freak accident or something more sinister caused by someone else? If someone else, clues on who it may be?

I have no idea why, but her dog came to mind when pulling the beach card 🤔

That makes sense to me!! That's because we love taking our rottweiler Osita to an isolated beach and letting her run free. Amanda's dog reminds me of my Osita. I agree - I am starting to feel like the dog is the key.

Maybe the dog was taken away during this like the beach. But idk where she lived. I do find too many coincidences in this story. Husband goes away for two days. He has text and video proof but how much digging did they do on his actual location and the two cells locations. Can that be manipulated? Lee also drops his sisters name as the possible perpetrator but we never hear anything followed up from cops about that. Was she mad they called CPS on her? Did Lee use this to his advantage somehow? Or is it sister and friends? And who gives up their sister ASAP? Then When the FBI arrived they said accident and then they just go with that and end the case. Lee was eliminated very early. If I had a dropped call and my dog barking while talking to say my wife , why didn’t he call the brothers who live close by to go check on her? Who gained from this and why? I also found the piggy bank as a weapon telling that someone may have been sick of the money conversations. Like here’s your damn money “wack” This whole thing stinks. Keep at it!! Stranger theory ? 🤔 if he ran away so fast what was she still doing down there? And why on earth does the dog appear clean ? As in no blood or no barking at the basement when Lee returns? Surely if dog held his pee for two days he’d still be trying to be by her side. Thoughts anyone? Lots of holes in this story and investigation that weren’t answered on the show.
