I love Mephistopheles as a character. He's funny and charismatic without going over the top, but when he said "that... wasn't a pun" you could sort of see the darker side to him, It kind of gave me chills. I love all the characters, his just stood as as being particularly well done for it's type.

Mephistopheles' personality is exactly how I would envision a lord from Hell! Charming, extremely smart to twist things in his favour and a with a sinister aura that makes your skin crawl.

Murder and suicide is a sensitive topic, Disney XD has good shows once in a while(GF for example) since they can talk about more topics since its for preteens however murder or suicide is once again not a topic they can show. Pickle and Peanut is just trash that they wanted to see what people would think of that kind of show, kind of an experiment. Cartoon Network is kinda the same. Welcome to Hell might be better off on CZcams because if it was a series some aspects of it might've been changed if it was pitched as a show.

No, I watched this about six times a day for a while
i saw this video for the first time 7 years ago when it first came out, when i was 10(i know i was young but i could handle the dark themes lol). this singlehandedly had such a major impact on the way i view art, animation and gender. i dont think ive gone a month since seeing this without thinking about it at least once. there was just something so profound about the way you draw your lines, tell your story and express them in a way thats relatable and realistic but still playful at the same time. thank you for this.

Anyway, I love it! I love how the implied devil makes jokes, puns and breaks at the 4th wall. I love how the demon isn't a stereotypical horns-and-tail and pitchfork kind of guy. I also like how the teenager was reacting like he normally would to something strange and then got used to it. It's so realistic! Nice job!
Also, did a demon have a guiding hand in Sock's (Is that how you spell it) death? Like he just reandomly sleep-walked and killed his parents?

7 years later and I still wait patiently for the day part 2 will come.
So Sock tries to pester Johnathan and unintentionally befriends him. Johnathan and Sock then bit by bit fall for each other. Johnathan ends up confused and then becomes distraught over falling in love with a boy(also a ghost). Bullying, and disillusionment with the world become worse. He then distances himself from Sock. The Devil gets tired of waiting and threatens to "fire" Sock. Just before Sock is doomed to fire and brimstone Johnathan realizes his love and that there is no one else for him in this world or the next. So Johnathan "punches his own ticket" to be with Sock. The Devil is pleased. Sock Keeps his Job, John becomes a clerical worker in hell, they get to spend eternity together. THE END 10/10 would watch again

hey man i didnt say how exactly they would spend eternity together, i just said The End. but who knows maybe sock can convince the devil he needs johns help on his assignments. Or John says he needs help with all those files, and the devil goes "meh, sure why not. sock takes too long per target anyhow".
I mean the devil seems pretty chill and awfully accommodating in this show, im sure it could happen.

i think the skirt like thing at the bottom of his sweater is a shirt. some of my bigger shirts look like that when i wear a sweater or jacket over them and i dont tuck them in. also just a wild shot in the dark. maybe sock killed his parents and himself for some reason relating to homosexuality/homophobia. again, just a wild shot in the dark .(Addendum: i have now discovered this actually has a huge following and a wiki. and so i now know it is 100% skirt. my bad. hes still gay as a daisy in may though)
