Unbox and review of the IMPORT BIBLE RESSHA MELODY BOX. My buddy at Import Bible created, designed, programmed, manufactured, assembled and also packed every single one of them. It's rare to see passion and originality in the automotive industry now so I definitely wanted to highlight the features and a bit of the creative process of how this was created by my good friend.

Inspired by my trips to Japan, it's hard not to miss the sights and sounds. You'll hear various greetings while travelling Japan but train stations are particularly known for their station-specific tunes. This melody box plays a selected track when it detects power and includes volume control. Choose from 45 greeting chimes and 3 reverse chimes (requires tap into reverse light wire). A great ETC card reader alternative.
Includes melody box, usb cable and 12v cigarette lighter adapter
Buttons allow you to select tracks and adjust volume
Requires the 12v plug to shut off when car is off to play properly on start up
Can only be used for start up OR reverse
Reverse functionality requires professional install to a reverse power source.

I have one in my Si Sedan and when I'm feeling down it really cheers me up. When you're mad, it catches you off guard and makes you take a breath and shake off whatever you're dealing with for a few moments. Great video! Highly recommend to any car enthusiast

I bought a used Toyota ETC and put it in my Gemini and i love it, But keen to grab one of these aswell it should activate before the ETC and not overlap or i could run it so when i plug in my Patlite it turns on which would be pretty sweet.
I have the ETC in my SC300 and now my new Ressha Melody Box has landed in Honolulu and I'm eagerly awaiting for it on the Big Island....I am the ultimate weeaboo 😂😂

I have an ETC from my dad’s Alpina but no card with it, never knew it made noise, I’m gonna see if I can make it work in my E36 somehow
Update: found the wiring in the Alpina still and my dad was nice enough to let me take it out, now I’ve got a little piece of Japan in my E36 lol

I did something similar but with a 0.50$ sound module that has 10mb of storage and it can be powered through USB 5v or 8.2v battery. I connected it to one of my small non battery powered speakers and it was working great. I wired it up so that whenever the foot area lights light up, the speaker module would play a sound. The lights were powered by 12v but I used a resistor to step down the voltage to 8v.
Now, whenever I turn on the car, it plays an old japanese toyota corolla advertisement (the advertisement is in Espanol or something like that) that was uploaded by the user Stuntman 104 on youtube XD
It's actually very funny since it's a Supra but since I removed the Supra emblem, non-car people think it's a corolla :D

What part of the interior do you think would be a good place to put it on in the 86?
I use a magnetic phone holder and put it on the center vent (passenger side).
Mine isn't working correctly. It only works if the key is in the ON position. But when I start the engine, I get nothing. It's on a 350Z, getting power from the cigarette lighter. Any ideas?

Translation is on the box, yes. And also it can be hardwired if you're good with that stuff.

@@LegacyTango yeah im just going to hook it up regularly for now and maybe look online elsewhere to see if there’s a video of someone booking somthing similar up to their reverse wire. Mine gets here Thursday.

Had some really toxic neighbour next door try to use the car backup alarm reverse noise as an excuse to sue my family. They would intentionally block us from reversing out of our house driveway just to desperately record "noise evidence".
We obviously wouldn't installed the melody device on our car reverse light if we had formally received a noise complaint warning or letter from the police to remove it sooner Lol
