This was literally my hair cut all through high school around 2008 haha, I called it a fashion mullet, my friend just called it a mullet.

Back in my beauty school days I attempted the scene kid cut. I achieved it with a round concave layer technique and as for the Fringe I just did a little bit of over direction. It made me miss my high School days 😪

Disclaimer: PLEASE BEFORE YOU BEGIN THE FIRST STEP
Make sure your guest's hair is able to support such a deep layer starting at the nape! You might have to begin this step a little higher on the back leaving a good amount of weight on the nape area. Not everyone can have such layering on the nape as shown.

We are in quarantine in NYC I am going to try and find a way to do adapt the cut so I can try and do it . The side length and volume technique is interesting. Point cutting seems more challenging.

I was watching a documentary on Keith Richards, and I couldn’t figure out his one haircut from the 70s. It was very similar to this, and I think the key is that the sides (and maybe some other parts),were left out. Thanks so much this was very helpful. I tend to follow guides and blend everything too mutch- its very hard for me to leave disconnection but I think that is what makes a haircut really cool sometimes 😊

We appreciate your videos. A point we would like to see, which is evident in this video, when working on dark hair if you would please wear white without a design to the fabric the dark hair then has a great background to be displayed on. When working with light coloured hair darker clothing, such as black, once again without design to the fabric shows off light coloured hair. This practice maybe applied to every Stylist in a salon setting when checking your work in the mirror. Light clothing for dark hair colour and dark clothing for light hair colors along with no designs to distract from what you are seeing. Once again you are great and a thank you for the time, expertise and quality you offer with your videos.
