Errorr: Dong says part of the immigration laws that started in 1882 was restriction of women coming into America. Correct: the restriction of Chinese and other Asian women was formalized with the 1875 Page Act (Law) which targeted and effectively banned Chinese and other "Oriental" women by casting them as prostitutes and disease carriers, whereas the Chinese Exclusion Act of 1882 targeted Chinese male laborers.
