Had a great time riding and hanging with you bro. I'm still cleaning dirt out of my ears!! 😂
Likewise man! And yeah dude, there’s still dirt everywhere, I don’t even want to deal with the pants 😂
That was so cool seeing Ryan Urlacher. He’s truly a pioneer in MC media before it was cool.
@@bikerboot888 Thanks so much BikerBoot. Very humbled by that comment. Much respect 🤟
Good times!
Been loving all the content on the Pan America. Would like to have one someday. Great job on the video and great to see you continue to get these opportunities! Keeping doing your thing man
What do y'all think of the H-D Pan America off road? We literally took the path less traveled at Sturgis, haha
I love the pan am! I'm in for a second bike in my garage. Got a 883iron bobber and want a little bit more variety. Have to choose between the standard pan am with the seat height lowering mod, the tenere 700, the 2021 Indian ftr and the triumph street scrambler.
Long time subscriber here, keep up the great work!
😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
I love the Pan America, however, my concern is that Harley is putting all his riders to try a new world, like the ADVENTURE BIKES, and this very dangerous, cause BMW is the BEST ADV BIKE. FOCUS on what you do the BEST and you will be successful! Why invent the wheel? Do you know what I mean? Whats gonna happen next? What happens if I only can afford 1 bike? I will move to ADV bike and then? There is so many questions, and I only see it very complicated. BMW now came up with the R18. Do you think I will change my Harley for the R18? NO! but, the same for BMW, its very risky! Nice video!
Question is, are those the standard 50/50 tires that come on the bike? Based on photos when you look up the Pan Am, it shows it with either one. So, do you get a choice of tire when you order it or are they just changing the tire to something more dirt aggressive for the meet-up and ride event you did?
That does it…getting one of these next!
I love mine! I traded in my 2020 Street Bob (which I also loved) to get it, but this bike is such a fantastic ride. Looking forward to a ride through the Blue Ridge Mountains this weekend!
Awesome! I want one! Glad you were able to interview some other vloggers that I watch! Great job!
You guys were hauling ASS! 😳
Alright saw Shadetree's off road experience, time to see yours XD
Hell yeahhhhh! *cue Shadetree intro
@@BlockheadMoto what's up weirdos
Hey! I was at Nemo Mercantile! Great place to stop, refresh and chill for a bit. Great video man. Thanks!
Nice! Yeah that's a great spot to soak up some shade and cold beverages, haha
When I went and got my 21 48 I seen a lady roll out with hers and I loved it but now seeing your vid with some action makes me rethink the Vmax I’ve been wanting lol
Best review yet on this bike...
Been doing Softails since 94, recently embraced touring bikes. Thinking about dumping the Softail and getting something like this in it's place.
What a cool bike. I just got my dream bike and traded in for a 2021 Road Glide...but one day I will have a Dirt Glide too!
Waiting for the Husqvarna Norden 901 to come out. That would be a great head to head comparison video Blockhead!
As always great vid Block! 👊🏼 pretty awesome you to to experience adventures like this, even more with showing your experience while doing so ✌🏼 might look into a pan head in the future for myself, always wanted to get j to the off-road adventures.
Thanks Cody! Would definitely recommend trying to find one and go for a test ride, it definitely instills a lot of confidence off pavement!
I was a little hesitant 'bout your channel at first...but your honesty, the way your loaded with information and straight forward talk really hooked me, big thanks Blockhead!!!
Appreciate that man! Definitely try to communicate as much as I can about the bike and how it feels for people watching, glad it comes across. Thanks again Tom!
Nice review of the Dirt Glide!
Just got back from a 1700 mile road trip. Bike was awesome.
Man that looked like a great time! The Pan America looks like an awesome motorcycle. Would love to test ride one. Thanks for the video Block🤘😎🤘
Thanks for watching!
That's a badass looking bike.
This reminds me of the gromventures ! Big boy style!
I kind of want a Pan America. I don't need one, I just want one. 😁
Awesome review of that bike, really appreciated that.
What’s the general vibe in the US re: that bike?
Many on the roads/dirt?
What’s the general feeling amongst the bike community?
Greetings from Australia! ✌️🇦🇺
Pretty bad ass!
Awesome 😎
Wow, that looks like a really fun time, AWESOME!
I didn't even know all of u guys were in sturgis... it was my first year there
My Pan America Special overheated and blew the engine at 5,000 miles halfway through a 2,500-mile trip. The bike has now been in the shop for three weeks, and today, I finally got an update on the cause. The Tech tells me the manifold going from the Oil Pump to the engine's top-end came loose. They are still waiting for Harley Corp tech support to get back with further instructions. I love the bike, but it doesn't seem like the dealerships want anything to do with servicing and repair it. I hope Harley takes care of me, but I'm skeptical due to being in the shop for three weeks and not getting any update other than they are waiting on Harley's tech support. I did ask the Tech how much internal damage there was, and they said Harley had not instructed them to make any more tear down; they just wanted pics of the cause. However, the Tech did tell me that they did a compression check on the cylinders, and they are entirely different front to back, and there is coolant in my engine oil. Fingers Crossed!
Like the tech, but can't get past the look of the bike or the manufacturer! Great video though, thanks Block!
Yeah traditionally ADV bikes aren't the most aesthetically pleasing, but they're purpose built, so function over form for sure. There was one on this trip that was all done up with panniers, skid plate, headlight grille and spotlights that looked sick! Looked like a stout off road truck.
Wow! Imagine going to Sturgis and being able to get away from the crowds and the bumper-to-bumper slow traffic ques by riding on gravel roads with confidence to such beautiful places. And BTW, no need to not consider the Pan America if you don't ride on or have gravel roads, to enjoy the Pan America, it's just one of the best Sports/Tourers out there and certainly the best HD has ever made when compared to bikes which HD has tried to fit into that class and failed (eg, the Sports Glide). Instead, the Pan America hits the mark, actually handles mountain roads and long distances brilliantly. That said, it doesn't feel or ride like a traditional or other modern Harley, it's more like a European bike - so this may not be ideal or desirable for the narrow minded Harley rider who must have a bike that looks and feels and sounds like a HD cruiser. Of course, the Pan America is a great cruiser in its own right given it's comfortable to ride (without having to replace the stock seat) notwithstanding that goes and handles more like a sports bike by comparison.
That was very cool!!!! It looks like a very good all around bike street or trail. Great job!! Stay safe out there.
It really was a nice all around bike, great on the road, comfortable and powerful, and confidence instilling off road as well. Definitely a fan of it!
I think I’d be pretty cool for your moto-fam if you guys list your top 2 or 3 favorite beers when y’all are out for drinks!
Cool video , I picked up one lovin it See you around WG 😎👍🏍🎥👊🍻
Looks like a win win for HD off road they definitely have it on the street already 👍
This bike seems like a good way to get a lot of people who havent gone off road, off road. On one hand with all the safety features, it might not be so bad. Otherwise I think this is a bit of a challenge or even danger for new off roaders. Especially with the different profiles, things can get confusing. Stay safe out there if you can. Take an ADV course.
Badly want to test ride one!
Hell yeah
This bike is awesome Harley just opened a new door to take the company into advature direction. How did you Atlas hold up in all that dust ? I don’t think there are any reviews on off road riding in the atlas “ hint hint “ :) RSSV!
I got a text KTM and Pan-America can you turn signals are the same on both no problem
I am Asian myself I like Asian bikes but when I Seeing the Pan American I was hooked 😊
nice!
They need to remake Timerider using the Pan-America!!!
Hey block, how has the insta360 cam been holding up to vibrations? Has it ever froze?
So far, so good. No issues, no freezing
I think I need one now lol
Hell yeah!
I didn’t have any interest in ADV bikes until H-D sent me to secret shop a dealer for the Pan America last month. And I can’t wait to get off road on one.
Badass, I didn't know H-D did secret shoppers, haha
@@BlockheadMoto It’s a fun side hustle. I get paid to talk motorcycles. But I’m running out of aliases.

It's the hair, lol

If you had to choose between the Pan America, Sportster S or the new Softail Lowrider.
Excellent review Block. The Pan America is not really my vibe to own, but I would consider renting it. 🤘🏼
Thanks!
Just saw one for $27K at the dealer today, with no panniers. pretty sure you can get a fully kitted AT, KTM or even a BMW for well less, and even a lot less used.
This road looked pretty smooth. Wonder how it does on real rough stuff.
That’s just Harley’s dealers being Harley’s dealers, there’s a few smaller dealers I’ve seen have them around msrp
Ocala nation forest not far from your Orlando base area
Love the Pan America! Someday I’ll own one.
If I were taller then I would be interested in the all black or black/deadwood models. Too short though, especially if a person 5'8 is on the ball of their foot in the lowest mode
The stock seat is actually adjustable one notch down, which Whitney had changed on her bike, and she mentioned feeling very comfortable with it when coming to a stop with the adaptive ride height. Be sure to checkout their video of it on Yammie Noob's channel!
They also have taller AND lower seat options.
Great video, Block! For the linked brakes - is that only in dirt mode, I assume?
Oh and epic burger/grilled cheese concoction! 😁
@@ThrottleFiend The 'Fatty Matty' was delicious, but I felt shame for eating it, lol. As per an article regarding linked braking, "The front and rear are linked in all modes except for Off-Road Plus, with the linking function proportional to your braking force input at the lever or pedal. More force links the brakes more strongly; light braking barely triggers the linked function. The Cornering Enhanced Electronic Linked Braking system works well, and ABS is not intrusive in any mode. Off-Road Plus braking mode disables rear-brake ABS and linking to allow for slides in the dirt; this is not an option in the street custom modes."
I like it. I am waiting to see and hopefully test ride the sportster s but an adventure bike might be my next bike as it would be better for touring. I need to try some competitors first and maybe another demo ride on the Harley before making any decisions. Cheers! 🏍😎🤙
I loved it, I'm honestly still trying to think of places I'd ride it and put it to good use / make it live up to it's potential in Florida, lol. It's a cool feeling being able to see some random dirt trail or road and think "I wonder what's down there," then press a button to change to off-road mode, and just go!
You can ride it on the sidewalk in Florida like Shadetree lol. This motorcycle is growing on me but definitely not in that damn orange color
Ok, my question would be, if ur a guy who is not likely to take it off road, how do you think the tires would perform on wet pavement? Better or worse than stock tires on a softail?
So the tires that I was riding with were knobbies, which don't usually perform well on wet pavement. I'd definitely recommend going for their other dual option and not knobbies. Stock tires on a softail are meant strictly for street though, whereas either option that comes on this bike are aim slightly more at being able to handle dirt.
@@BlockheadMoto thank you
Yo Blockhead, I have said when Harley steps out of its Nostalgic 45゚angle Box, They bring out a Motorsickle that peaks my interest. VRSC, Pan America. You Meet the Nicest People on a Honda. Keep the Shiny Side Up.
Definitely cool to see some variety!
Can we see blockhead get on a vmax from Yamaha id really like to see that
Zoooom…curve….COW!!!
lol very unexpected free roaming cows
I like this bike, but that front fairing still hasn't grown on me. I still don't see the need for ride modes. I just twist the throttle less if I need less power.
Excluding offroad modes, usually rain mode is the only one that limits power, the other ones just determine how smooth/twitchy the throttle is and how much traction control is applied.
Looks like it was a good time. Who would’ve ever imagined a harley rippin through gravel like that
You wouldn't believe the amount of people we came across on these dirt roads and trails that said "that's a Harley?!" 😂
Well now I want Yammie Noob and Spite to come to Orlando to ride Goldzilla
Def!
you shouldve shown shadetree the fairing option lol
Good luck finding one.
Harley davidson company will last forever, change my mind
That bike is good anywhere…don’t need a dirt road
is this how magazines and advertising do reviews for bikes?
Yeah, the manufacturer invites out writers for press events, they ride the bikes / get experience with the product, and then they write an article about it. Same formula for CZcams but we make videos instead 😁
We just need a new LRS with the TFT display and all the new tech on this and the sportster.
That'd be awesome!
Some bikes will grow on me. This one doesn't at all. Hope they sell a lot of them. I believe they would have sold more Bronx bikes though.
Were you running the scorchers the whole time? If so, it looked like they performed well for you guys on the dirt and gravel roads.
Edit: I agree. Please give us the normal HD turn signals - oh and some heat shielding for the catalytic converter.
My first.... "First"

NO! but, the same for BMW, its very risky! Nice video!
Do other brands that make cruisers have the same concern? Or is it good for a brand to offer a variety of options to those that enjoy the brand? Ex: If I was in the market for an ADV bike and wished H-D made one, but they didn't, wouldn't that drive me to another manufacturer anyways? B/c that's exactly what just happened with me buying a hyper naked / streetfighter. H-D teased the Bronx, I was incredibly interested and trying to hold out, and then they cancelled (or postponed?) it, and I bought a Yamaha MT-09. So other manufacturers that offer a variety keep their customers that have had good experiences with their brand, would they not? Such as Honda, Yamaha, BMW, etc
Got to take chances to succeed. I want one & I gave up on Harley in 2000.
Not a bike I would get into at all. Adventure bikes ride to high for this 5'4" guy. Give me my Spyder any day. #BRP #Can-Am
Where's the off road part? Dirt roads are still roads
18:50 I hit some grass that wAsN't A rOaD
Tbh. The plastic levers were a turn off for me.
They’re metal
@@BlockheadMoto I know how plastic feels. I guess they fooled me
Honestly plastic levers would be more durable off-road.
You lost me at Yammie noob is cool.
It might one of the most advanced bikes they've made. But it's truly the most hideous looking Harley I've seen.
