- A surprise delivery in my mailbox, the newest Hasbro Star Wars Black Series Archive wave changes things up a bit. Not so much older characters tha can benefit from newer technology, but troop builders that just add to the display, whether it's Rogue One or Mandalorian. The Tusken Raider, Shoretrooper, Death Trooper, and Hovertank Pilot can go anywhere!

The imperial death trooper is honestly my favorite trooper in the franchise. The look, as well as the name makes them so cool
Ended up staying home from work because of food poisoning today, so this was a great surprise to see. Keep up the amazing work robo! You never fail to put a smile on my face.

I like the Tank Driver more now that I’ve seen the ones in The Mandalorian.
They are a rare case of a character looking good even without their vehicle.
I still will wait for the tank before I buy;hence I'm sadly not getting it🤦♂️
I dont know why people get so mad when a company occasionally sends review packages, look at this mans room, he has funded the college careers of a lot of Mezco, Mafex, and Hasbro people's kids lol, saving him $80 ain't the end of the world.

Pretty glad they rereleased the Shoretrooper grunt, never found that one back in the day, only the squad leader.

I originally missed out on everyone except the Death Trooper, so I'm really glad Hasbro decided to rerelease these guys.
I understand it was gag, but Robo *attempting* to cut those boxes was the best part.

The shore troopers look pretty sweet. It definitely has more dirt and grime on the armor; good touch to a stormtrooper variant suitable for field combat

Tank Pilot and Shore Trooper are hands down my favorite Trooper designs
So fun to watch this. Pretty sure the mouthpiece is a harmonica. This figure represents the Tusken Raiders before they sold out and went electric.

Star Wars The Black Series Archive Tusken Raiders are so hard to find. Finally, found only one today at my local Walmart. They came out awesome! Great review, man!👍
A lot of people don't know this but the Gaderffi sticks are combination Melee weapon/Hand Mixers- the two alternate attachments are for mixing different things.
Of all the things I saw in this video, Robo's Krennic is easily the best. That headsculpt and paint is just immaculate. I don't think Hasbro should rerelease the R1 figures, since a lot of them didn't sell well the first time around, but if they released an updated head pack through Pulse, that would be the best.
Troopers and Tuscans...definitely hard to pass for a new collector.
Wasn't gonna get any of these but then you mentioned putting death troopers with Thrawn and now I'm buying two of them. Damn it.

I missed put on the Tusken raider the first I’ve around, so as soon as these cam available I ordered two. But that’s the beauty of the archive line, picking up figures you missed the first time around.
I thInk this review convinced me to keep my Tank Driver Preorder. Only need one since like you said there isn't a tank.
Yeah, they end up just standing around, but it still a cool look for a trooper.

Robo I like your videos. I was going to skip this wave except for the Tusken Raider. . . I have never been able to get one. Your review changed my mind. Lol now I have another wave I have to try and find. Problem in my area toy hunting in the wild sucks. Its been dry at every Wally World, Target , or Walgreens I go to around here. Picked up Count Dooku and the Shock Trooper at my GameStop. Great video keep up the great work.

I have the Target Exclusive Death Trooper that comes with the chest rig and pauldron. The death troopers would be my favorite figures except for one thing: the right hand has an in-out swivel wrist instead of up-down like every other storm trooper. That means these elite troopers can only hold their rifle with a weird chicken wing elbow. They also can't get as good of a pistol holding pose either.
Now that you mention it, this whole wave could be considered The Mandalorian characters because each of them has been featured in episodes of the show 🤔😉

If I were to get myself a suit or armor, it would be a Shoretrooper for sure. Not sure if I said that here, it's been a while since I shot this video, but I'm saying it again.

You're absolutely right Robo, the entire wave did appear in the Mandalorian! (Of note is the odd height death troopers aiding Moff Gideon in the penultimate episode, The Reckoning", of Season 1; if my memory serves me right.)
Great review Robo. Yeah I'm a sucker for SW troop builders. I agree that the Death Trooper wasn't my favorite. I ordered more of all the rest though, lol. Seeing as how difficult it was to find the R1 troopers, I wish they would have switched out the Death Trooper for the Target exclusive AT-ATC driver. Always felt like the R1 troopers could work for modern military personel with maybe a different helmet & paint scheme.

Death Troopers prerequisite is they must be above 6foot I think and then they go under intensive training and I don’t remember if they are given roids some sort
I just learned last night that Luke's pants are basic denim jeans bleached white and the pockets removed. I wonder if they did a similar process for Tusken and/or Kenobi pants?
Now I kinda want a Tusken for a Dude custom.....

I saw this wave again at Target yesterday. SO tempted to grab a Shore Trooper for my Troops squad. Based on the old ToyFare Trooper squad.

Robo's entertaining us on the Hasbro company scrilla. Nice! I agree. The Death Trooper is too thin for a soldier decked out in armor. His uniform should add more bulk.

I saw that Tusken Raider at Target a month or so back, and I passed on it for some AEW figures. In hindsight, I should have found a way to pick it up too, as I love the Tusken Raider for some reason. Always has been a favorite of mine.

I just picked up the Tank driver, his joints were all good, mine has lighter yellow on his helmet.

The AT-ACT Driver has the same body as the Hover Tank Pilot/Shoretrooper, but with markings closer to the Tank commander for a quick head swap

Having started later than others I've picked up 2 Tusken Raiders, 2 Shoretroopers and one Death Trooper, I skipped the Hover Tank Driver but if they bring it out in the Mandalorian colours I'd buy that one.

I ordered the tusken raider. I think I did not care that much about them during the first release. But tastes change, and they have a very alien mad max aesthetic.
I love the shore trooper as well. But I troop built over ten of those and like five squad leaders and I feel its more than enough.
The placement of breathing canister on tusken raider gets in the way of articulation. The arms might as well be some kind of super articulated arms since it has cloth goods. The lack of properly hinged wrists drives me nuts.
The packaging is better since the figures can be put back in the package without ruining it.
I was at a Target and I thought I found a Shoretrooper but it turned out to be the tank trooper which I don't want, looked behind it and lo and behold I was lucky enough to find a Death trooper. Still looking for the Shoretrooper sadly.
The death troopers are supposed to be lanky because in the comics they are dead solders who have been resurrected
@Poky in legends they are resurrected soldiers but that’s a bit much for the movies so they made them long and lanky to make them feel weird and inhuman
Never get tired of seeing you find new and creative ways to remove the figures so the packages remain... "pristine."
This very much seems like an army builder wave, and esp with emphasis on ROGUE ONE, which has got to be coming for the 5th anniversary this year.
Saw these in target stores and couldn't help but think, "weren't the shore and death trooper figures at 5below a few years ago?" I'm pretty sure they were there with other black series rogue one characters.
Would be nice to know what 6inch figures would appear at five below... I can't remember them carrying a 6" ($20 retail) line since overwatch about a year ago. And then hts started selling their overwatch for ~$3.50.
an archive wave meant for troop building but stores only get two if each figure in cities where several thousand people want 5 of each lol
I really like this wave, just wish it was more budget priced at $15 or less. Maybe one day Hasbro will do the troop builder plus thing like with Marvel Legends. Only one that I'm not 100% behind is the Death Trooper. I like the model kit look the most but the BS is way more playable

My shore trooper has a holster with a blaster pistol didn't com with the regular blaster. It must be a newer version 😂
