I stopped opening modern several years ago! I keep it sealed. 9/10 times you’ll have some gain if you just forget about the product in your closet. If I want a card bad enough I buy it raw!
9/10? What sealed product did you pick up several years ago that *hasnt* gained?

Me to.dont open much anymore just collect older sealed stuff now.s&v is awful imo so i havent opened or bought one product.hopefully its going to improve but….we shall see
Honestly one of the best videos I’ve seen in a while.
Can you talk about what you love and sticking to particular sets?
I have Gym Heroes and Gym Challenge as my favorite sets, is it safe to branch out to other sets from WOTC?
I have 1 Fossil and one Jungle for example, or should you stick to finishing off the set where you want to master?
Thanks for your advice!
I watch every video you put out!
The video just started for me and I have to say...I LOVE MAGMAR! Cool video so far.
Finished watching....by far the best "advice" video "advice" video on CZcams. Thumbs up to you!
And I still love Magmar! 😁
This was done very well which is rare from people who discuss investing in the hobby, to you good sir I say great job.
Great advice Ttp. Your videos are always the best. I'm too old to not open my cards lol. I want to enjoy that experience and be able to love and admire what I pull. I think anyone who can hold sealed product long term is smart, but you also miss the excitement in some ways I believe. They must have incredible willpower :)
Great video, I agree with all your tips! 😊
It also made a lot of sense for me to wait some time before buying a card that I like. After this time, I often didn't like the card that much anymore and was glad I didn't buy it. This strategy [self-discipline] has already saved me from various bad purchases.
One of your best videos yet, I really appreciate your transparency in this video. 🙏🏼
I appreciate it!
I didn’t think you could do it but you have made a new favorite video on your channel for me.
That's awesome man, glad you enjoyed it! I never know how the community will react.
Awesome video thank you.
Some slabs I want are out of reach price wise like a PSA 10 first edition Pikachu. I do get tempted to sell a master set (like crown zenith) to
Put towards but then I love my master sets.
Do you think it would be a bad move to sell a master set to invest in a slab you can't afford without that boost?
Love the video! There are lots of ppl in the hobby that will benefit from this kind of advice, especially the stuff about no name grading companies XD ilu2 TTP!
Thank you Top Ten for defining the fundamentals! Great video!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Great video top 10! Thank you!!
1st Like again🙌🏼
Been investing in sealed and singles for the past 2years💪🏼
solid opinions on your end. there are a TON of older cards in psa, bgc, cgc, in 7.5 through to 9.5 that sell for thousands, like you said from time alone. It'll happen to every alt art from sword and shield in the long run. Latios & Latius alt from team up was a $60 card at one time.....nough said
Top 10 delivering that long and strong video content! Love it!
Looking to do more longer content...maybe
Sealed will always be better but I think it’s important to do both need to have fun with it and enjoy the artwork otherwise it’s just all about money which can get annoying.
Love this vid! Your best ever. I will certainly re-watch this many times for discipline. Cheers
🙏
Always great content on this channel. Subbed!
Thank you 🙏
Great video and tips! Totally agree that buying singles or even graded psa10 copies is much cheaper than opening seal products for any chase cards (unless your the luckiest guy out there). However, opening packs are so fun! At the same time depressing 😅
The last tip is the best one IMO. If you don’t love Pokémon cards and just wanna make a quick buck it’s not the right investment for you 99% of the time
Absolutely!
Really well thought out video.
Very good advice! Also great videos. Keep it up. Thanks.
Outstanding.... Ty TTP!! How about a top 10 Japanese Booster Box price gain over the last 4-10 years?
I'll definitely look into that one! I was looking to make a Top 10 booster box video of some sort.
Absolutely love this video and also all your others. Great advice 😁
🙏
My favourite pokemon channel ever!
Thank you! Means a lot!
Well thought out, informative video, thanks.
I have 5 pikachu grey hat, would you grade them all or just keep them sealed..
Just keeping sealed modern now if I’ll crack some packs sometimes but way less now trying to just keep sealed boxes. Have been buying a lot of word stuff tho
Great video mate! Very well covered 👏🏾
Thank you!
Very good intel! New viewer here
Great points made. Great video man.👍
I’ve got a bunch of old Pokémon cards including every shiny from neo and idk where I should get them graded and am looking some advice
Thanks in advance
Great vid, thanks !!!
I was thinking about buying a booster box of evolving cries. Would that be a good move for investing?
Excited for this one!!!
This is a concise and brilliant master class in TCG investing. You probably helped so many people with this.
I hope so!
fun vid, love it!
Good stuff , noble victories woah wat a throwback
Hard to believe noble victories is considered “vintage”
A nice change of pace
how do you research if someone is shill bidding? could be a good video id love to see
Great video! New subscriber here!
Thank you!
Why did that first edition charmander have a shadow on the right side of the frame? I thought all first edition was shadowless. Anyone have some insight?
Great content, thank you
Glad you enjoyed it!
Great insight. I agree with this 10000%
Thanks man! I appreciate it!
Wow I just sold that PSA 10 Raichu a couple months ago for around $600 😅
Yep, lol. Hurts everytime!
Great vid
Nice strategies
words of wisdom
How's the funko pop investment going ?
Good video keep it up!
🙏
Amazing video
I legit have never heard of the set “noble victories” so I looked it up. What a bizarre release 🤣 black and white is rough
Yep. Horrible set IMO.
What you think witch price is evolving skies sleeved packs gonna be in 6 years ?
The way the booster box price is headed, I can only foresee 🚀
I’d guess $40 - $50 a pack easy the way that set keeps rising.
This was great :)
Thank you 🙏
what language is that 1st edition charmander, i see a shadow on it
Italian
I appreciate the video. Very informative. I have been a long time fan of pokemon, collected as a kid. Fell off when my collection was stolen. I just started getting back into it, and although it is exciting getting and expensive card worth some dough. I am not collecting because of the money. I just love pokemon, always have. This video helped answer a few questions i had.
Thanks for the view and the comment! Much appreciated 🙏
On that first point sometimes an unpopular pokemon nabs you a score pickup like a staff psa 10 oricorio picked up for less than 50$ now going for 200$ because high grade staff command a premium
Yea but will anyone buy it?
An yeah I love the celebi
I see you’re holding 151 etbs, I hope they’re the pc version!
I completely agree with the newer cards being printed into infinity basically my Walmart is selling some of the older SV ETBS for like 40 bucks and there is a ton
It's definitely a product saturated market as of right now.
I hope you also agree that the same product you see stacked up today will no longer be there in 3-4 years.

I think anyone looking to make any money with cards printed from 2020-2024, good luck with that. Way too much was printed. Same problem unlimited base set to base set 2 has. Those cards unless in 9's and 10's aren't really worth anything because they was printed into oblivion. And as you said the printers were running even harder this time around. Keeping modern sealed is going to be the only way to make money off of it for a very very long time.
Red Hat GANG!

I stick to final fantasy tcg this year
Your in luck. I just graduated to 3 year old attention span😂❤🐐

Love how he addresses if you have the attention span of a 2 year old this videos not for you lol class

Bruh you make it sound like it’s rocket science. Just buy sealed card products, keep sealed and just sit on it for years.
What if you buy the wrong product and it doesn’t increase as much as another product
I rip 90% of the stuff I buy cause I’m a degen.
"Investing". I just collect them, like you're used to do.
👍🏻
9:50 is why I refused to get into One Piece.

Gotta go, blaming my attention span :). Im a collector, so this one is not for me, ill be back on the next 👍
Lmao 2 year old 😂
It happens to the best of us lol.
Engaging and concise! 😃
Mission accomplished then! 😀
