  • Was It Worth It? My review on rebuilding my first transmission a 4l60e automatic transmission. I go over tips on parts I would buy and tools I wish I would of bought before I started this rebuild. This transmission goes behind a aluminum block 5.3l in my 1936 GMC flatbed truck.

Yeah definitely hard to work on it with a tight schedule

I just got done rebuilding mine like a week ago,I’ve never built one but I just did my first 1k fluid change and everything looks good so far.I went the same exact route,eBay kit no instructions and had the same exact thoughts lol.The money I saved for on a shop I upgraded my servo, band, did the accumulator piston delete, new harness and all electronics and a new pump and torque converter so I was about 1k in the whole build but I’ve since offered to rebuild a few friends because after the first time I’m confident I could do it pretty quick especially if it’s pulled.

Yeah I was hoping it’s something I could offer to customers also. Definitely worth it to learn
