Two greatest voices ever: Gladys Knight and Nat King Cole. The style of music may not be to everybody's taste, but quality / power of voice and the seamless key changes still give me a prickly neck. Sinatra and Dylan can go and sit in the corner until they learn how to hit or hold a note.

I'm 25 and in love with so many artists today, but this remains one of my favorite songs of all time and makes me cry as well when it hits right. She enriched our lives even to this day and beyond ❤️
Unlike many female singers whose voices changed dramatically over the years...ex Dionne Warwick, Aretha Franklin... Gladys Knight's voice sound pretty much the same as it did 50 years ago...the same soulfully rich voice... she's incredible. She's also one of the best live performers ever.

However Gladys Knights touched a cord with me tonight. I am sure Gladys has touched a cord with many other people who appreciate beautiful music with her incredible rendition of this sad, wonderful and meaningful song. Well done Gladys.

I have been a fan of Gladys since 1974 when she and the Pips were together. I was such a hopeless romantic back than so young and full of life. My eight track tape player pumping out those beautiful love songs by Gladys was always keeping my foolish heart thinking of my next true love.

Try to think of someone from today that could actually pull this song off? I've heard some people from today trying to sing songs from back in the day. one was trying to do Gladys and another trying to do Etta James. they did pretty good but the difference was that today's folks were struggling to sound like old school and Gladys & Etta were just doing it effortless making those signature sounds come out of their bodies. you no those moans, groans, sighs , that scream in key thing. that just can't be recreated. Guess you can tell I am from the Sixties.

She is ushering you through the most difficult moments of your life.....the echo of "...if you have a chance to do it all again....Well.....".
