The Border Patrol agent stands accused of stabbing 28-year-old Grizelda Hernandez and her son to death before leaving their bodies in a remote wooded area. I love the fact that the day he took two lives, he never had one day or one hour of freedom. The very second he took two beautiful lives…. He ran around trying to cover it up but was caught. He was in jail from then on. Just wish all murderers were as dumb as him n caught this quickly. Not months or 30 yrs later, if at all.
He thought his fellow officers would stay quiet. They DID at first but they were disgusted by what he did. Ratted on him pretty quick.

The worst was when the police officer (I will find out his name) on day 2 said “I saw his little baby boy booties” in the woods and that broke my heart.
This is the worse trial i have ever seen. The incompetence of the prosecution, defense and the judge is just so unbelievable. My god, this is a death penalty case, and every single lawyer is acting like this is their first case. They have had 5 years to prepare for this trial. Never seen anything like it.
The lady DA asks horrible questions! Her sentences are choppy and hard to follow.
I was trying to wrap my head around the way questions were being asked by both defense and prosecution and I have come to the conclusion that it is mostly related to the demographics of Webb County. Over 90% of the county speaks primarily Spanish. When you speak a language other than English as a primary language, you often have to craft your words carefully in an English-speaking court. The pauses and choppiness make more sense now. I don’t think it takes away from the professionalism of both the prosecution and all the LE witnesses.

This Judge is very impatient. He should know the importance of the defendants actions during the time he was sitting there. Licking his finger and wiping away 'evidence' (blood) and Biting his fingernails and using his own saliva to lessen the evidence (blood/skin/sweat) that could potentially be found underneath his nails from the victims.
It's aggravating that this Judge is so RUDE.

Yes but does the jury need to sit and watch it for 30+ minutes? They can highlight snippets that show the behaviors and not waste a bunch of time watching him just sit in a chair. They can show several 30 second snippets that show the same thing and can submit the whole video into evidence and that way the jury can watch the entire thing during their deliberations if they feel it's important enough to do so or that it proves something specific. They don't need to hold the entire court up for that amount of time. The jury gets to view anything they want to that's been admitted into evidence... Even if the entire thing wasn't played in open court. The judge is doing his job. The jury and the entire court gets bored and zones out if something is long or boring. It's better to show several small snippets that show the behaviors or if he says something to himself while alone etc .
Just the callus way he acts while being shown pictures of his dead son and his sons mother says everything you need to know about this "man" .
Not one bit of remorse or emotion - he wouldnt even look at their photos!! Yet show one photo of him and his mom or boys and que the tears!!! He only cried over himself!! Nothing else.
I cannot stand this judge! He’s so rude and unprofessional. Don’t get me wrong the attorney on both sides act so incompetent but it’s no reason for the judge to not let them play the entirety of the interrogation. So rude! Judge sit there and do your job and act professionally. To be honest this entire trial has been a s$&# show.

He does seem to interior and come across as irritated. The prosecutor asked for computer then wanted to ask a few things. Like a child he had to stop her to announce that she had asked for computer and now not using it right away. Yes, this has been annoying trial and the state seems slow and agonizing to listen to hear try to get the question out, but he comes across as petty. He should be above it. Well, ok he is human but not suppose to jet his annoyance show.

I think the Judge has shown incredible patience with this death penalty case. The Defense Team is ridiculous. The Judge has to protect the integrity of the case and make the length of the case bearable for the Jury at the same time.

When they started garnishment on his salary..he called me to threaten me and the kids. Furious that his money was being touched. I had nothing to do with it..the state of CA did this..because we got MediCal...I believe he would have killed me to get custody of kids, and get money for them...our youngest is disabled, so SSI sure would help a loser who can't keep a job.
I told judge that if he continued demanding child support, my life and maybe the kids would be on his hands. He finally threw out the case, and said how awful a bully prevented child support. I said, no money he gives is worth our lives.
No contact, no visitation unless it's petitioned..it's been 15 yrs..kids all adults now.
I never like to see the worse in people. Yet, if a person is not guilty and you were announced as the biological father of a child who was murdered wouldn’t you show some emotion? Instead he was stone-faced. No reaction whatsoever. It sickens me. So sad for Grizelda and the baby boy. 😢 💜🕊️💜🕊️

My only complaint is the sound level is frustrating and the judge stops the trial to many times. I've never seen a judge talking so much and in front of the jury.

I believe Texas judges hold their offices for a term of 6 years before they have to be re-elected. People in Texas need to check when this judge comes up for re-election because he is the worst! The way he has been rushing the Prosecutors is ridiculous and his attitude/behavior towards them is inexcusable! Granted, the female prosecutor, who can not manage to stream together a coherent sentence, gets on my last nerve! All her pauses and restarts is cringe 😬 worthy at best! However, it does NOT justify the judges behavior!

I have never heard a judge not allow someone to play a full video! Or show the juror a item that is in evidence!! I forgot this video was from today, my comment was referencing what the judge did on Wednesday or Thursday. When the state entered the video from the patrol car they put him in. The judge said something then as well! The state entered the video, in its entirety, of the defendant in the back of the patrol car. There was nothing said for a minute or so, and the judge asked if they wanted to stop the video. The state said no, the judge then said “but there’s nothing else said for the remainder of the video?” The state said “no, but we want to play the entire video so the jury can see the defendants behavior and mannerisms.” You could tell the judge was annoyed with that as well. Like I said - he’s done and said a few things I’ve never experienced from a judge.

She seems to be so involved in appearing a certain way, she cannot even deliver a simple complete sentence, without interrupting herself and changing the wording several times! It’s as if she is thinking up the questions on the spot! She should have prepared the interrogation interview so that it only had the pertinent parts! The judge is responsible for the jury and not losing their attention by wasting their time and boring them with unnecessary and endless nonsense! If that is what’s bothering him, then I agree with his attitude. I have read his background and he is very experienced and educated. He must feel like he’s herding cats! 😼😾😿

This is absolutely heartbreaking that the injuries to mammy and baby are horrific. For him to sit there totally emotionless for his own son and face not change at all says it all. GUILTY GUILTY GUILTY. I would never wish death on anyone. HOWEVER, I hope he gets the death penalty. That baby had his whole life ahead of him with a mammy who loved him. So basically killed them both because he didn't want his now ex-wife to find out. What a waste of 2 beautiful lives who had everything to live for. RiP xxx

Avilles killed Griselda and Dominic 100% as her sister testified that she asked for a lend of her stroller and car ,as she had to meet Avilles at the park that day. So its no co incidence that they were at the same place at the same time. HES GUILTYOF MURDERING THEM BOTH.

Law enforcement all over need to get better audio for interrogation interviews. They don't put a microphone in front of the suspect because they want him to "forget" they might be recording. But guilt or innocence might depend on a single word. If GPS coordinates were blurred or faint, they would be unacceptable as evidence. I can almost guarantee that the transcript of this interview will not match exactly what was said.
With all the evidence presented in this case, one word will not make one bit of difference..
Interrogation rooms that have installed sound absorbing/proofing provide much clearer audio quality

@@josiemiller1688 He will appeal, almost all defendants do and if he gets the death penalty, he will appeal until the cows come home. He can appeal all he wants, but in order for him to win, there would have to be a violation of his constitutional rights, egregious misconduct, or misapplication of the law for him to win. I haven’t seen any of that so far.

Did anyone else find the audio quality of the interrogation absolutely horrendous? The echo and reverberation made it completely impossible for me to follow. Not sure how you could be a member of the jury and be able to factor that in as part of your deciding factor. 🤡🤡 In this day and age with 4K video and satellites that can provide Dolby Atmos quality from a subject on Earth while recording from several galaxies away, you'd think these police departments could at least get some equipment that's worthy of a court trial in the event someone needs to go back and re-watch it. It's nearly inadmissible. What a joke.

This is one of the most heartbreaking things I’ve heard in a long time. I hate him. I’ve lived on the border, in Texas, my whole life. These are just regular people trying to work and provide. He’s a stain on this town’s history.
After the report it is clear that this poor woman fought for her life and for the life of her baby,

I love how the prosecutors and all the witnesses MAKE SURE to let the jury know that Dominic was a baby. Not a boy or a child like a of other trials of babies they refer to the baby as “young child”. Not that it matters but Dominic was a baby not even two :(

First I liked this judge but the last couple of day changed my views. He is always impatient like he needs to smoke or something, he cuts attorneys, especially the prosecution trying to do their job and when he finds too long then he dares to tell them, I found him many times rude with the attorneys and even the witnesses.. this case is a DP one so it needs as many details as possible, if the state worked so hard to bring all the proof of his culpability it should not be cut-short because the judge wants to go I dont know where. I never saw any judges behaving the way he does and it's disappointing, even unprofessional
Looks like his wife left him n went back to Florida right after he did this. She moved or transferred to be with him in 2016. She moved back to Florida in 2018 so had to be to go back to her family n leave him. The day he took two lives, he ruined his own n his whole family’s including his two boys. His wife received an award in 2022 for her work. Left this monster in the dirt.

We have to remember not all defendants are guilty & they deserve a fair trial. So we need ppl in that position regardless.

One of the defense attorneys is actually very respectful - and you can tell hes just going through the motions of trying to look like hes defending him … their job at this point is not to get a “not guilty” - they know thats useless. Its just trying to save his life at this point. Attorneys who are just against the death penalty.

what in the actual heck is going on here?? If I was Grizeldas family I would be furious right now, a judge is meant to be neutral and not interrupt all the time, the defence have not even raised an objection for goodness sake!!!!!! I have never even seen a judge interrupt as much as this judge.
