Game of Thrones Live Concert Experience is the concert tour by the HBO epic fantasy series Game of Thrones featuring composer Ramin Djawadi. The all-arena tour was announced on August 8, 2016 at an intimate concert in Los Angeles, California. The tour consists of 24 dates in cities across the United States and Canada. The tour's title is in reference to House Stark motto, "Winter is Coming." The concert started on February 20, 2017 in Saint Paul, Minnesota and ends on April 2 in Portland, Oregon.
On August 8, 2016, composer Ramin Djawadi announced the Game of Thrones Live Concert Experience Tour at an event at the Hollywood Palladium in Los Angeles with Isaac Hempstead Wright, who plays Bran Stark in the series.
The tour features the show's composer, Ramin Djawadi, conducting an 80-piece orchestra and choir, who performed highlights from the series' musical score, on a 360-degree stage. In addition, LED telescoping and wall screens, and special 3D designs rise from the stage floor.
We really want to summarize the show the best we can, There’s a lot of different locations and events to cover. If you come and watch this concert, you really get a nice summary and a nice look back on the past seasons. The one I’m really excited about is ‘Light of the Seven,’ which was such a great surprise to the viewers, because it’s the first time we’re using piano, Besides the orchestra and the choir, we will have the piano and that piece to play. That’ll be really great live. - Ramin Djawadi
In an interview, Djawadi talked about the tour, saying, "I'm going through the music to adapt it more for a live performance, and I might have a vocalist on a piece that didn't have one before, or lengthen another piece, I'm not bound to the picture anymore, so I can let the music tell its own story, and be creative about it."
A weirwood tree is formed on the stage during the concert.
The concert contains multiple stages and the main stage (King's Landing stage), features Djawadi as conductor with the orchestra and choir. On the other side of the stage (Winterfell stage), features another choir and also soloists. In between those stages, it features four smaller stages, with each being named after different locations from the world of Game of Thrones. There is also a runway between the two main stages, that is also a location.

I can't believe this music was never really even nominated for an Emmy or something else. Imo there are not many soundtracks out there that are as good as this one. Why is it so overlooked?

About the screaming, it's suppose to be like that. I was at the game of thrones live concert in Seattle last night and before the concert even started, the director spoke to the audience and said if you see your favorite character he wants to hear it loud. So you'd hear a lot of cheers and then some boos lol. It made the entire experience that much more fun. This wasn't supposed to be a classical opera house performance, it was meant to be fun and felt like you were in the movie itself. It was a great time!!

Ramin Djawadi is the unsung hero of Game of Thrones as far as i'm concerned. His themes fit so well with each House such as the haunting Stark theme which fit with all the sorrow and heartbreak of that family and his war theme for Daenerys is powerful which is fitting for the mother of Dragons.

I don’t know if many of the people complaining about the screams during the performance have been to a concert, but you have no idea how much more enjoyable it makes it! You may be here to listen to it, but at the real concert you’ll want to yell along with them! I saw this in Tampa and it was such a great experience, even with the crowd. The conductor even invites everyone that when they see their favorite character or song or scene, to let them hear it!

I'm really proud that the composer is Iranian , such an amazing emotions in his music is familiar in my culture. Epic , sad and lovely .
True Story: I am a security supervisor and worked a screening showing the battle of winterfell before it aired the following night. A few of the talent were to arrive and watch it with the audience. I always get other assignments so didn't think anything of it. One by one all the EP guards were getting picked off for other tasks and that left me opening the door for the talent who id had a small celebrity crush on. As the talent finished with the intro's i helped them find their seat. As the opening music starting playing 3:25 she thanked me with her lovely smile as i walked away. And now i can say i was one of the lucky few who got to watch over the "Mother of Dragons" as she watched GOT :D

This concert was one of the most magical things I've ever been to. Was a surreal night getting out there, too. Long drive, windy roads, I had never been to a live concert before... But it was like something Magic had come alive. So glad they did this. Will be glad for it pretty much forever. ❤️

The thought of thousands of people paying to watch a live orchestra play the soundtrack of a television show is amazing! Goes to show the impact this show has had all over the world, it's truly astounding. The geniuses behind and throughout this series from cast, crew, all corners of production, directors, right back to the legend himself, George R. R. Martin are all iconic legends. This show is really like no other, and it shows. I really do feel bad for those who haven't seen it or decide not to. They're missing out on a historical moment in television history and it's all coming to an end. But each to their own I guess :)

Great concert - 2 hours have passed unnoticed! Like I looked again, all 6 seasons through music. Ramin Bravo, Bravo to the orchestra, Bravo! Many thanks from the Russian fans of the show.
P.S. why in the end I forgot to mention about the Doran Martell and Lannister Kiwane the good was the characters in the book, sorry the show is not so disclosed (and Tommen and why his age changed from 8 to 14 years).

I'll be honest -- I attended last night's show at the Shoreline Amphitheatre (outdoor venue in Northern California) and it definitely wasn't the same. The visuals that were performed in an indoor arena is what was really missing. The best part of this year's tour is the fact that music from Season 8 (bad season, great music) was spectacular -- especially The Night King's theme during Arya's kill scene.
Probably the only thing about Season 8 that I love... Thanks to Ramin Djawadi..
I snuck in the rains of Castemere on my brother's wedding playlist. When I hit it when the bride was walking down the isle everyone's look was priceless
they need to do this tour at least once or twice more, so many people never got the chance to see it and now with the show done we can do a completed version. Please continue doing the live concert, maybe permanently even. You'll draw in tourists from all over the world and what is hype may never die. especially with the got train still rolling with these spin-offs

What sets GoT apart from others is the recurring 'themes' of houses. Goosebumps at the beginning.

The Jon/Ygritte sequence is breathtaking! I didn't pay much attention to their theme in the show, but the montage, along with the score - simply spellbinding!
All the time I thought that I hated the Lannister's until now. I actually love to hate Cersei but hate to love her too, she's such a badass. Tywin is the boss, a very intelligent and powerful man. Tyrion, he is just... Tyrion is my man. Jamie became better in the later seasons and now he left Cersei so idk. Tommen and Myrcella were very nice too, sad they are gone. Only that psychopath Joffrey was the problem. Well I understood these just now hearing that glorious magnificent music in the beginning.

To everybody complaining about all the yelling and wooing, I generally agree. The audience sounds like a bunch of coeds on Spring Break. Buuuuuut, dude at the beginning DID say to show the non-viewers why we love the show so much. Besides, if this was just a "concert", they wouldn't rely on the visuals and the slide shows as accompaniments. As annoying as all the cheering may have been, I suspect that was the intention of the event coordinators all along.
