Jaime's reputation as one of the greatest swordsmen has dropped quite significantly due to the loss of his sword hand. "My training has proved that I can't beat a stable boy with my left hand."

A man deserves a spot on the list.
No one deserves a spot on the list.
@@elisaa9981 A man is still alive and was dropping bodies like flies.
@@matingly23 Who is a man? No one.
@@matingly23I remember that man's name... but his face escapes me. 🤔
😊kidpgrwyltto
Jon actually learned skills from his opponents.
North - basic training
Karl Tanner - dirty fighting/fight without honor
Wildlings - fight like a beast
100% agree, everything you described can be seen in a fight against Styr Magnar of Thenns.
Now I'm imagining Jon hocking a loogie at the White Walker before finishing him off.
Except that in the books he wasn't
I always thought of Bronn as the ultimate player character
He is versatile...an all-round fighter
Bronn's duel at the Moon Door is a 'How to Fight' tutorial.
"You don't fight fair!"
"He did."
He literally let vardis get up thrice and was still questioned about his honor. @@femurforreal
Brenne vs hound- Epic.
There was a moment in season 2 where Bronn and the Hound almost had a go but they had to go to war. Still wish we got that fight.
I don't agree with the list, but what a well edited video 👏 😊
Me too, I'm pretty sure that most of Danaerys's Khalasars that was left at King's Landing after her death would do an easy work on most of the people on that list. - But I do admire the cool edit 😊😊
Drago, he left off Lannister in his final list, the faceless man, serio , the guy that actually beat eddard stark, and the blackfish (from the books anyway), I feel like many were left off here, and im not too sure some of those that made the list actually deserved it, even if they did mostly live, oh and the old leader of the kings guard, at least in his hayday
@@InDadequateit’s people still alive at the end of the tv show.
Ramsey agreeing to one on one AFTER he’s already lost😂😂
"I've reconsidered"😂
He thought he could save his ass 😂😂
gotta talk about Sandor just bare handing a valyrian steel blade
Yeah, that's tough, but in the end she fucking wrecked him. Goddamn legend.
@@johngrimes6078 move that cliff and she would have lost.
@@alanrickett2537 still taking this fight personally, lad? Deep breaths mate.
Dude I loved the editing. Good stuff, really made the list flow well together. that audio cut right before the Brienne/Hound fight, yeah.
I loved the way Bronn would put Meryn Trant in his place.
I think that Sirio Forel, with a proper sword, could have kicked the arse of many enlisted here.
Unfortunately it seems that we will never know...
oberyn without confess demand will be number 1
Hahaha
The Mountain approves !
I was immersed from beginnig to end mate. Great editing and visuals. Great work
This channel deserves so many more subs. Whomever does your editing, is an artist
Love that Highlander soundtrack. Nice intro!
R.I.P. The Hound, Lyanna Mormont, Jorah Mormont, Khal Drogo, Beric Dondarrion, Rob Stark, Oberyn Martell, and Barristan Selmy.
Honorable mentions: Yara Greyjoy and Davos Seaworth.
I always see Bronn as a secretly OP character that is just too lazy and doesnt want to stand out because it's too much hassle. lol
This was very well put together.
This makes me want to go bingee game of thrones for the 20th time lol
Now think about doing the 21st 😂
Some great fight scenes in here !
But one of my favorite fight scenes of the series was when Barristan Selmy rescued Grey Worm from the attack by the Sons of Harpy. Not on the list since he died, but just saying it’s one of my favorite scenes, regardless.
I agree. I refer to that scene as Barristan Selmy's last stand.
Whoever choreographed that fight knew what they were doing. It's a textbook display of how to take on multiple attackers. He uses the walls masterfully.
A good death.
Bro Daario knew he was clapping cheeks after that one
1. Is the Prince who was promised...
This list is based on skill in war along with individual duels(fair or not) in show and books dead or alive
1)arthur dayne
2)daemon blackfyre
3)robert boratheon
4)bariston selmy
5)kal drogo
6)aemon dragonknight
7)jaime lanister
8)the hound
9)cregan stark
10)oberyn martel
Honorable mention to garlan tyrell as its ststed that he’s far better than his brother in combat
I never understood how Snow kept losing hold of his sword every fight, almost literally every time.
Always fighting bigger and stronger opponents not to mention supernatural ones😅
Remember Ramsay even says hes heard Jon Snow may be the greatest swordsmen alive. He learns from every battle and opponent. Just because showrunners had lazy plot writing he definitely deserves it. He literally is the prince that was promised
Drogon is the best fighter in the GOT. He should be the no. 1.
I believe the title says (still alive).
@@JayWest14 He says Drogon, the DRAGON not Khal Drogo.
Great clip
Not sure how I feel about this, think Grey Worm and Jon Snow were too high, I would like to think, those that got cut are or are not worthy of being at the top. I think in a battle or a one on one is much different, I think Bron did well in all battles, one on one and in battles. Still a good list. I don’t think Grey Worm could have killed the Hound or Jaime for that matter.
The list is the 7 of the best that's left alive. Maybe Grey Worm wouldn't have been able to beat either of those two but he was alive at the end and that's all that matters because the list points that out.
Y’all forget about Arthur Dwayne with those two swords in brans vision/flashback he went crazy asf and was known as the best swordsman in his day
Uhm, the title says the greatest swordsman that are alive.
@@vadlamanikrishnachaitanya2539 lot of them are not alive now
@@alanrickett2537 I think its more centered around who was actually part of the show, and not just a couple scenes in a single series.
@@alanrickett2537like who ? When the show ends all 7 mentioned are still alive even honorable mention Yara.
@fadwen88 no it says alive
Favourite and coolest style red viper
Greyworm should've been lower.
So many on the list below him would've beaten him.
Bronn is just one example.
Number 7 at best (tbh, greyworm should not even have made this list). Bronn would have eaten grey worm for lunch!
We all have our own opinions and those are yours.
the whole unsullied are very underwhelming. Their story makes them out to be these unkillable soldiers but all you ever see is them getting killed.
Greyworm was a machine. A badass who had probably been in more battles than most others.
Yeah. He's one of the best soldiers for sure, since he can fight as a unit with his brothers, and is a good commander, but as an individual warrior, he's kinda just a competent individual, nothing *particularly* special
Turmand and The Hound were my favorites on here
Jon snow was the best character of Game of thrones..
He was the actual deserving candidate for Iron throne..
❤❤
If we're on about still alive by end of the show (not the books), then its bron by miles. A toss up between tormant & snow for 2nd, then Brienne, imo. A lot of comments on about Arthur dayne, drogo etc, the title of the vid clearly says "STILL ALIVE" !!!!! Dont agree with your list at all, sorry, but its a good vid, well edited, you've got some iconic moments in there. Hound vs Brienne is the best scrap in the whole show imo.
1. Ser Arthur Dayne - No analysis needed
2. Drogo - who dare fights a skilled Dothraki with bare hands
3. Jaime - The books says it all
4. The Viper- Well not many people can handle the mountain like he did
5. The Hound- Probably should be way Higher
6. Ser B. Selmy: His resume speaks for itself.
7. Brienne of Tarth - Besting the Hound is no easy task.
8. The Mountain: Dare Him LOL
9. Bronn: You Just know he’s got something up his sleeve
10. Jon: To Make y’all happy😂
7. To Clarify, Brienne beat the hound because he was weakened from an gnarly infection (in the book). When she beat Jaime he was weak from a year of captivity and malnutrition. Still impressive.
I would bet money Jaime with 2 hands would have beaten Drogo. Brianne shouldnt be on this list replace her with Robert Baratheon
Brienne says in the book that if Jamie was healthy and unchained that she didn't think anyone in the seven kingdoms could beat him. Jamie says in the books that the hound is a better fighter than his brother, that he's almost as big but faster and smarter. The mountain is big, strong, and brutal, not necessarily a great fighter.
😂😂😂
🤣🤣🤣🤣"Jon to make y'all happy"
Karl Tanner beat jon until he was literally backstabbed
Yeah that was early on when Jon was still learning how to fight.
Greyworm? Better than bronn or brieanne? Please.
I'm going to need details about Ser Podrick.... copious details! 🤣
The most satisfying scene for is when jon punching Ramsay face😂
How can you leave out Sir Jorne (sp?).
I could see Jon being #1 for traditional thrones before they made Arya a super soldier
People think Jon Snow is average because thats what he is in the books and early show.
By shows end hes become a legend who has consistently improved and has more "feats" than anyone
90% of comments: you did not mention this person that is not alive.
10%: Arya is the best.
(Actually, she was always losing to the waif... Then suddenly she somehow became an unstoppable beast out of nowhere? Poor writing just killed this show).
You missed the point Arya figured out who that she was and took what she had learned for all her teachers in that moment and that was more than the waif could deal with water dance plus assassin training plus the git from the hound the waif only expected what she had had shown Arya.
And yes the TV show was not good at showing the why of that fights result
Where is Sam the Slayer?!
New channel or copied channel?
Who's Artur Dayne? Is he only in the books?
like the musical intro.
the smirk of bronn when he finally is about to fulfill his destiny of killing the grub in fancy armour....only for cercei to interupt
What about Jaqen h'ghar what Nr is he on ???
I think he is not on the list because he is probably dead, Jaqen is only a face of many others so he can be anyone or how he calls himself: No One
I personally wouldn't count the ones of The house of White and Black to this list
Man that brienne hound fight ....u feel the pain of that one
the day after .. hold the door .. was in a telstra building and everyone I mean EVERYONE .. was doing hold the door at the lifts
"You will NOT provoke me to anger" Dumbledore said calmly
I personally don’t think John was the best fighter. Though, he was definitely the luckiest. That’s gotta count for something.
That Brienne of tarth vs the hound scene is so god dayum good
Elite list
8:16 I see game of thrones has suffered from Bourne syndrome.
Way too many cuts.
Rob Rejected One on One Fight with Jamie Lannister and Jon Accepted Challenge with Ramsey after They Both Won the Battles
awesome Vid!
Brienne all the way though. She hasn't even maxed out her character yet. Spin off show please!
Check Star Wars. ;)
Having Arya there is a joke, I doubt Jon would be #1 also.
Jon is the luckiest swordsman, Arya is the most killer. She could take his face if she wanted to.
Karl Tanner, The clegane Brothers, the Viper, ser baristan, Khal Drogo and Dario naharis are the top seven. Grey worm, John snow, Aria, Jorah and brienne are behind.
Edit: best ones are dead....
In the books Tyrion describes Bronn as a Tornado of Blades flying over the battlefield. Just wanted to say that cause I think most people heavily underestimate him
Lyanna mormont must be first on the list, she single handedly slew an undead giant.
Sandor clegane. Killed the zombie mountain. No one else could have killed him. Only because he was ready to die for it. Came back from near death to do it. The greatest fighter of them all. Might have got beaten by a woman but came back to carry on his mission.
Um yup that was Sandor's mission from the jump.
He’s not alive at the show’s end
Because he had to die to win. Like i said. Because nobody else would have won aganst the zombie mountain.
@@royjeffery6965 right but this list was specifically fighters that are still alive when the series ended. The hound DIED so no matter how good he is, he cant be on a list of characters who LIVED.
No longer alive though.
Hot Pie where?
Nope. Ser Bronn is hands down GOT's ultimate fighter. End of.
I would put Ser Jorah close behind him alongside prime Jaime Lannister, in terms of specifically technical swordsmanship. The two might even be technically better at the craft of wielding a blade, but they lack all-round fighting skills combined with mastery of the sword in Bronn's signature style.
My opinion is based mostly on study of swordplay, and partially on bias stemming from each man's abilities in such.
Bran was probably top 3-4 fighters in GOT. Bran would’ve killed Darious in GoT if they ran across each other.
🤣🤣🤣🤣
Bran? or did you mean Bronn? sarcasm or just typo?
I know its misspelling but kinda funny to think about him fighting like Ivar the Boneless from Vikings 😂😂 just a bit more on the ground 🤣🤣
John snow was the best, he lead man into war he was a warrior of men great leader, i think his sister was just assassin' , different
The Mountain was a fearsome fighter.
Ans jorah the mormon, ser barristan selmy, The Hound?
I’m putting Arya #1.
she is more of an assassin than a fighter. At 80 lbs .and 5 ft tall and a child's sword she wouldn't be able to parry swords with a man.
Part of the fiction of the show. Cool, but yes, completely unrealistic. Even leaving gender aside, unarmored and nimble fighting DID NOT WORK. Source: Years of the actual history of combat. @@erich1780
Originally, I wouldn't have put Arya on this list, but the way she carved up the undead at Winterfell alone, would've put her on this list.
Bronn of the blackwater was like the first special ops soldier. His only objective was to neutralize the enemy. Through wit or brute force. Susually a combination of both at the right time. That's why it is taught to fight with one's head and not their emotions.
Where was Khal Drogo?
22:03 Mortal kombat
How exactly was that Jon Snow vs Grey Worm?
Let’s get to the top 2 if they were alive…. Ser Arthur Dayne, Ser Barristan Selmy.
Yuuuuuppp
1st would be robert baratheon
14: 00 i like this question 😂
Where's Jorah 🙁?
And which one of you was Oppenheimer at 10?
1. Arthur dayne
2. Jaime lannister
3. Stannis baratheon
We have to not forget that Brienne of Tarth got the hound when he was injured and the cut in his shoulder was rotten, so technically he was kinda poisoned when they fought, I believe in normal state he could win, because he is not only one of the greatest swordmen but he is also ruthless, who win over Beric Dondarrion + the mountain as an equal opponent to such a freak like the mountain
Yea the Hound not being on this list makes it low quality. and Podric on any level near the top 10 is silly
But this list is only with those who survived to the end.
What? 😅....nonsense
Epic and Legendary. All I can say. Lol.
Obreyn Martell should also be there in the list.
12:43 WHAT THREE MEN?
Daario and Greyworm is so skillful and dangerous
just plot armor
Ser jorah ?
Tormund would be my choice as a friend and companion
pitty that we never see a fight between bronn and the hound.
These 7 are the greatest?? What about the mountain, ser arthur dayne, khal drogo, ser barrister selemy, oberyn martell? They'd wipe the floor with these 7
The title says ppl that are still alive. All of them are dead
Even if this was top 7 in the GOT universe, Khal Drogo won't be on it.
1. Arthur Dayne (With Dawn)
2. Barristan Selmy and Arthur Dayne (Without Dawn)
3. Jaime Lannister
4. Robert Baratheon
5. Blackfish
6. The Hound
7. Oberyn Martell
@@nickdentoom1173 i agree with you!! everyone missed R. Bara and Blackfish, exceptional and experienced fighters
@nickdentoom1173 this is a MUCH more realistic all time list
@@nickdentoom1173 now this list i can agree with
Hoped Prince Oberyn was on this list…he beat the mountain but made 1 stupid mistake at the end& should have finished the job before getting all emotional. His death was also horrific & sad because he was fighting for his sister. He just moved more beautifully whilst fighting, others made it look so clunky. That’s why I also like Arya, looks light on her feet unlike hound or Brienne; just too big and lumbering in their movements. Don’t get me wrong, I like Brienne too but found her, hound, mountain fighting style not great to watch because their size just overwhelms the opponent
10:51 - I LOVE Arya's face chen checkmating Brienne.
(I think you should at least mention Ser Barristan Selmy)
not a checkmate so much as a draw, but yeah.
he's dead
If Selmy just would be alive he would be mentioned...
Jon in the books (and for me the only real Jon) it's 15ys old...basicaly a kid...but it's still a good swordsman. And I'm prety shure that he can become more skiled in time.
I feel like Daario is going to be the villain for the Jon Snow show
Yeah, Grey Worm vs unarmed and surrendering soldiers, what a badass...
After he killed half that army? I would say YES he’s a bad ass
The kil his bitch and the night king fight hide then die 😂
Grey Worm would have folded Jon's ass up real quick before those soldiers stabbed him.
Grey worm together with baristan selmy against 30 sonst of harpies was badass
In the end the greatest fighter is the one still standing.
chcialbym spytac tych sedziow czy spia spokojnie??
The best fighter in got was the red viper. He only lost because he wanted the mountian to confess. Even the writer said the red viper was the most lethal person in got other than jaqen h'ghar. Yes jaqen was an assassin, he was trained in all form of combat. But this list is completely wrong. The greatest fighters still alive would be 1. Jon snow, 2. Daario Naharis because he is undefeated, 3. Arya Stark, 4. Ser Bronn of the blackwater, 5. Ser Brienne of tarth, 6. Tormund Giantsbane, 7. Grey worm. Grey worm comes in last because he only ever fought with a spear and a dagger. He never fought hand to hand. And when he was put to the test, he damn near died and was in the bed for god knows how long.
You rate the red viper number 1 but didn't he also use just a spear? Same as grey worm. Brienne beat many warriors who lived or died in GOT. Arya beat her. I would rate her number 1.
@@FloydThePink yes your right, but that is in the show. The books however paint a very different story. The red viper was an expert in all weapons. Plus in the show he is still number one. Because of his technique, his acrobatics, etc, etc. He only lost to the mountain because he took his eyes off of him and looked at his wife. If he hadn't been so he'll bent on getting him to confess, he would've beat the mountain with ease. Arya was a great fighter yes. But Jon show was the best swordsman in the entire show. But not the best hand to hand. My list still stands correct. And like I said in my comment, even the writer said the red viper was the best. Again, your only looking at the show and not the books.
I agree with ur rating really well, but I think 🤔 Ser Brienne of tarth comes in before Ser Bronn of blackwater bay.
Ser Baristan Selmy was a superb warrior….The Naked Knight following his disrobing in the throne room!
@@FloydThePink Arya did not beat her, Brienne had opportunities to kill her had it been a real fight, that wouldn't be the case the other way around.
Jaqen H'ghar needs to be on here.
as tormunds killing the lord of bones tormund vs lord of bones pops up lol was mitch of a fight
And which one of you was a Casting Director at 10?
Jammie Lanister?
