Why are these reporters claiming Dangote is being "strategic" by starting with Diesel & Aviation fuel in order to recoup money? Any senior secondary school chemistry student will know that the fractional distillation process of crude produces those products first before getting to petrol. Journalists, do better, don't just repeat talking points you heard somewhere that sounded correct.
We know that he can't sell fuel because of powers that be so she wisely shifted our gaze from that topic😂
In fractional distillation, the first is petroleum gases, kerosene(jet fuel), gasoline(petrol), diesel , fuel oil, lubricating oil in these descending other according to their boiling point. so which should come out first , the lower boiling point or the higher boiling?
@@orukpe1 I was wondering what he was on about..
@@doctimothy Yeah
Thank you, Dangote. From Sierra Leone
I'm Zimbabwean and I love him
Diesel price is dropping and electricity price is rising. It’s like we’re all jokers competing for who the funniest will be
U beat me to this bcuz I was about saying the same. jagaban is not looking into the price control act and it’s annoying
It's crazy bro,10k now gives 41.5 units
Dangote well done! You rescued us! Do same with PMS.
Dangote refinery was a supposed to compliment the refineries in Nigeria and not replace them
That is true
Complement which refineries broooo the refinery is privately owned what do you want to compliment 😂.
The same way MTN and Econnet were supposed not to replace Nitel but we know Nigeria.
All this needless big grammer will not bring any solution.
You are in pain with the recent progress
What are the NNPC refineries doing to make fuel available?
Nigeria, please make agriculture the cornerstone of the economy to increase the value of currency. Utilize the largely unproductive northerners for agricultural work.
Excatly
There's no substitute for a competent interviewer. You can tell the guy's impressed by her. Take a bow ma'am.
🎉🎉🎉
Dangote ikon Allah , well done 👍👍
My dear Nigerian brothers and sisters. I love Dangote. What has he done wrong for some of you to hate him so much? Please explain to some of us idealists..
Am disappointed in our politicians, there is so much greed running in our system! A country of Opec should sale the product at a very good rate for its citizen's to enjoy!😭
Fuel drives Nigeria economy, cit shouldn't be tampered, the increase in price effect every thing in Nigeria
If we are to buy it at N1,500 per litre, then what are we celebrating? The product was sold at N700 per litre before 29th May 2023.
Really?!
With differences in exchange rate since May 29th 2023 and removal of subsidies there after; why on earth do you still expect same price?!
Maybe you should go to our neighbouring countries and find out how much they are buying it there.
Be real, practical and sincere in your criticism!!!
Most nigerians don't think brother! now if it were their business, thats when their selfish nature arises and they increase even without market force pressures@@TeeO8080
Let African countries with crude enter into partnership with Dangote refinery so that we grow the African economies.
I pray Dangote don’t exploit Nigeria as usual.
People wont Change especially at that age.
If we had a good government, they would have been the ones to keep Dangote in check. Let's hope for the best.
In what way has he exploited Nigerians before?
Praise him for offering 1225 when price is 1700.
Too late! He shouldn't have started his supply at N1,225 p/litre. That's already high.
A part of this refinerie belongs to Nigeria as Tax Money was used. So where are the benefits for Nigerians?
20% PRECISELY. LET'S SEE HOW GOVERNMENT WILL DO THAT
Its a business not a charity! his benefit is in supply, not in REDUCING PRICE
this is not socialism
@@chiefs5822 thank you
You don't know he took government loans at low interested, he's just going to pay them back, what do you think business is 😂.
@@powerslot9490 In the U.S., the government also does that to help companies in some cases.:
Congratulations
Good news for us
.. and the tariff for electricity went up over 3 times old price
This man is confused. He is talking but saying nothing.
So Now we Are not Talking about Portharcourt Refinery again
Port Harcourt refinery is also coming up.
So also are Warri and Kaduna.
And there's the BUA refinery that is also in the works.
Dangote could have started this in 2000s he would have reaped good this is a good project
Why crude being imported, thought Nigeria had reserves?
Dangote is just out to make money. If anyone expects cheaper prices of fuels from Dangote refinery, then you must be a Joker.
make he dey give discount on top $20b loan ?
the advantage to Nigeria is less importation leading to increased value of Naira , leading to cheaper fuel
This guys must be joking, you really want to depend on a refinery that privately owned to help our crude prices, or you guys don't know burna boy made the song saying dangote, dangote, dangote still dey find money ooh. Dey play😂, It might be better for the economy but is definitely not gonna fix our high fuel prices, the government is meant to fix all our damn refineries which are publicly owned and managed my the government.
Fact u are making sense
AFTER DECADES OF MANY YEARS WITH IMPORTATION. LIGHT IS HERE. GOD BLESS NIGERIA. GOD BLESS PBAT
Your talking as if it's not this year tinubu entered, as if dangote not been using money to build it before😂. And Do you really think one refinery can fix importation for a whole coutry?
@@powerslot9490 Oga, we have PH refinery coming to work this month, BUA coming im 2025, Warri and Kaduna will come too. We gonna definitely stop this useless way of fuel import soonest.. The peak of bad governance is importing refined products as an OPEC member
What about HIM importing CRUDE OIL from USA for his Refinerie?
ARE YOU NOT AWARE NNPC INITIALLY SUPPLIED HIM 6M CRUDE?
DANGOTE IS A THEIF 😂N600✅
NO IMPORTATION INVOLVED....
NO EXCHANGE RATE INVOLVED.. 😂😂

Given that Dangote refinery imports crude oil, we are not making any significant progress. He will be utilising the proceeds from forex for importation. Consequently, product prices cannot be particularly low. We need to rely on our own crude oil
Let me warn that, every thing in this country is tire down on the petrolum product, govt should understand that the people are surffering due to high cost T fees of goods and service, let the refinaries be put to work, so let the people be emancipeted from hardship! All these british grammer has to stop & lets fix the nation!
This is great. Supply to all Africans
Dangote is importing crude ? Did i hear right ? How ? I thought Nigeria has crude oil? But that's what the refinery was built for ? To refime the crude ? Please can someone help me out here ?
Nigeria has pre-sold unextracted or future crude for loans obtained. Our limited crude is not available for sale to Dangote.
@onon7687 Ahhhhhhhh, so sad. Very, very sad . How about all those oil wells owned by individuals ? Anyway, I bet they're private, so the government can't really interfere.
Thanks
Dangote had to import crude because Nigeria doesn't have enough crude to meet the demands of OPEC quota and Dangote Refinery.
As an OPEC member, Nigeria has a production quota of 1.78million barrels per day. According to OPEC, Nigeria is struggling to meet this quota, in fact as at February 2024, Nigeria's crude oil production dropped by 7.3%.
Hence, Dangote needs to import crude for its refinery until Nigeria's crude oil production improves.

Bala bala bulu bla, as he dead in fish! 😂😂😂😂😂😂
Diesel is refined and not manufactured from crude oil!
Couple of talking heads.
Bulk purchase at N1,225.
It means that at the pump ,it would be 1,500.
So it means we are just where we are, and inflation can't come down because diesel is critical in logistics.
Diesel contributes to the price of cement.
It should be LESS than N1000/ litre at bulk purchase, then at most N1000 / Litre at the pump.
You & I know that Dangote is not a patriotic Nigerian. He's out for blood despite 20% of Nigeria's money used to support his refinery.
