For example, if one party feels betrayed, all the hatred, jealousy and emotional turmoil forms a karmic mess and the astral connection becomes a channel to let that mess severely impact the one at the receiving end. This is why you see traditional Hindus are very very wary of whom they touch physically. This can be extended to non sexual relations also such as that of a mother and son who are connected at the level of manipura chakras owing to the umbilical cord. A mother can know if something's wrong with her kid even if the kid is at a far off place. Likewise when a kid is worried, a hug from a parent disorients the worry and fear in the child's mind and all of this is not coincidental put purely happens at an astral level due to interactions we have with people. Sexually intimacy is the most gross form of interaction and it's traces are very very hard to erase from the mind.
